"Three minutes everypony! Get ready!" called out a backstage pegasus, fluttering over the cast.
Lyra Heartstring almost danced with excitement. Finally- a play about humans! The very life source she'd been studying about and dreaming about is being put in a play that everypony wants to see!
"Hi, Lyra. You seem excited." came a familiar, friendly voice. She turned to see the newly princess, Twilight Sparkle smiling at her.
"Oh yes, yes, yes!! I just can't wait! A play about humans- and I'm the lead role!" she said, nearly squeaking. "And because of your trip to the other world, we now have an idea how those creatures act and look like! Omigosh hey, hey, next time it opens, can you take me? Huh? Huh? Can you?"
Twilight smiled and shook her head.
"We'll have to see. The portal won't open for another 29 moons. But, I'll see what I can do."
"Hey, if you can convince you-know-who to be the villain in the play, you can anything." Lyra said, grinning. Twilight rubbed the back of her neck, as her wings flapped a couple of times nervously.
"Yeah...... I'm surprised it worked..... but who could have done a better job? After all she is under the threat of being killed-on-sight if she makes any movements of trying to take over...."
"True....also for that new trick for making ponies look like humans is so awesome! By the way... who's playing the prince?"
Before Twilight could respond, the backstage pegasus called out:
"Places everypony!"
Lyra squeed and practically bounced to her spot near the curtain. It was time.
