I threw it off me with a light groan, and sat up. I’m not a morning person and it usual takes me about 20 to 30 minutes to wake up. This morning was different, I quickly realized. I was wide awake, and something was under my rear, putting awkward pressure on my spine. I frown as I got out of bed, and looked at it. I didn’t see anything on it, but it didn’t help that I needed to push my hair out of my eyes. I froze when realized something wasn’t right, and grabbed my hair. I have pale blond hair, and usually keep it short. And now I was holding it, and I saw that it was black. My mind, awake and alert, informed me that something was terrible wrong, and I bolt out of my room and straight into bathroom. I turned on the light, and nearly had a stroke when I saw my reflection. My hair was long, black, and went down past my neck. But what surprised me the most was the purple and pink strips that went down my left side. But it wasn’t just my hair that shocked me. My eyes were different too. Last night they were green and now they were purple, a color no human should have. I took a step back and look at myself a little more closely. It wasn’t just my eyes and hair that changed; my body had under gone a slight change as well. I was always considered something of a “plain Jane”, mainly because of being a late bloomer, and my chest just started to grow recently. But now, my breasts were bigger, not by much but still enough to no longer make me feel insecure in front of some of my more ‘developed’ friends. I notice that my waist line was narrower, and my hips were wider. I couldn’t see my arms and legs due to them being covered by my pajamas. Still….I grinned as I looked myself over again. If a body more suited for my age was the trade for longer hair and unnatural eyes, I think I can live with that. I was still studying my body when I notice something hanging out from behind me, and turned to my right to get a better view. I think I nearly fainted when I saw a pony tail, same color as my hair and with the same strips on it, sticking out from my rear. I also notice something on the thighs of my pajamas, and I studied it. I gasped softly when I realized what the thing was…it was Twilight Sparkle’s Cutie Mark! I would be darn…I have the cutie mark of my all time favorite pony! I suddenly gasp and looked at the mirror. The hair, the eyes…I can’t believe I didn’t put this together sooner. “I look like a human Twilight Sparkle,” I said in awe, and gasped a second after hearing my voice. I sounded exactly like Twilight Sparkle, pitch and all. Fear began to take over, and I worried that something was wrong with me. I kept myself in control and started to give the changes the once over. The hair wasn’t a wig and it wasn’t dye either. There weren’t contacts over my eyes, and nothing was making my voice different. Now I was really starting to freak out. I began to think something was wrong with me, and it took everything I had to keep myself from fainting from a panic attack. What can I do? I don’t know what caused me to change like this. Only if Rupert was here, he would know what to do. My eyes snapped opened, and I bolt for my room without a second thought. If there was one person I could count in a pinch, it was him. My tail nearly caused me to have a nasty fall when it got caught in my legs, but I kept my balance as reached my room. I went over to the foot of my bed, retrieved the jacket I wore last night and took out my Android. It was still on, with nearly a full battery life, and I quickly cycle through my phone book, and nearly cracked my screen from pressing to hard on my friend’s number. I hastily brought the phone to my right ear, and became antsy as it began ringing. I nearly groan out-loud when his voice mail kicked in, but I still left him a message for when he gets up. “Rupert please pick up! I know I sound different, but it’s me, it Tina Spring!” I cut the line a second later, and sigh heavily. All I had to do is wait now and I hate the waiting game. I wasn’t waiting long, about 10 seconds, and my phone went off, flashing my friend’s number on my screen and “at the Gala-Rainbow verse” began to play. I answer the thing immediately, and thrust it to my ear. “Rupert…is that you?” it was stupid question and one that didn’t need answering, but my mind lock up in happiness when he answer me back quickly. I heard a faint sigh, and frown. Something wasn’t right here, but I wasn’t going to pull a Pinkie Pie and jump to anything. I waited for the other person to speak before I did anything else. “Yeah…I know I sound different, but it’s me alright,” a familiar voice, but not the one I was hoping for, replied, a bit reluctantly. “And if you don’t believe, I can give you ten things to prove that I’m truly am Rupert Douglaston.” I gasp and pulled my phone away to gawk at it. That tone, that sharp tone, Rupert uses it when he wants to make a point. And there is was no way I would ever forget that tone of voice. It was that tone alone that had often kept me from panicking, and it was working even when it the voice that spoke it wasn’t the one I was used too. I chuckled lightly to myself, as I thumb the speaker on. “No, no, that’s not need. It just you sound like-” “-Rainbow Dash,” Rupert finished with a faint sigh. “Yup, you guess it. And judging from your voice, you’re turning into Twilight Sparkle.” Alarms began to sound on all fronts. I glance down at my tail, which was twitching uncontrollable, probably in response to me own emotions, and I could feel my stomach do a couple of flips. I was seriously hoping I misheard her, him, about my changes continuing. I looked back at my phone, and found that I was barely holding the thing because my hands had started to shake. “W-What do you mean?” I asked nervously. I heard her, HIM sigh again, and replied plainly, “I think it would be faster and less headache-inducing if I just text you a picture. Please hold.” The line went dead after that, and I was left alone with my own thoughts. That didn’t sound good, I was close to having another panic attack and I don’t think I could handle it this time. No, no, no, I need to remain strong. Rupert sounded like she, HE was in control, and she, HE could do it then I should be able to go it also. I sigh as I took a seat on my bed, and jumped back to my feet, yelping. I looked behind me, and glared dagger at my new tail. I had sat on it wrong, and I was reworded with a pain greater then I ever had felt before. I know animals’ tails are supposed sensitive, but what I felt just now was ridiculous. I sigh again and retook my seat on the bed, being careful about my new tail. I looked at my phone and felt my fears returning. Just from the way he talked, my friend had change into more then a human version of Rainbow Dash. That was a very unsettling thought, one that I hoped to stay far away from. Still…would it be bad to turn into a pony, especially if I turned into Twilight after she gained her wings. I actually didn’t like Twilight when she became an Alicorn, like a lot in the fandom. It was Rupert who pointed out that just because someone changes a little doesn’t mean the change was bad. It also help that we were watching that movie their recently made, and it filled more with confident when I saw it. My phone vibrating brought me out of my thoughts, and I looked down. True to his word my friend had sent me a text with a picture attached to it. I hesitated for a second, afraid of what I was going to see. What if he had become a full blown Rainbow Dash? Or worse, what if he had become a horrid mutated freak barely recognizable? I shook my head violently, trying to clear it. I shouldn’t be second guessing something I haven’t even seen yet. I inhaled deeply, and gathered what courage I could. I hit the button to open my mail before I lost my nerves. What I saw next, wasn’t at all what I was expecting. I saw a humanoid Rainbow Dash, wearing my friend’s trademark outfit, only change to match a female body. It was clear my friend had tried to get a good picture of herself, trying to get her new wings and failing. She had opened them to their full length, but she wasn’t able to get them into the picture completely. She did get a good view of her new breasts, and that made me scowl a bit bitterly. Was it wrong to hate your friend, your male friend, just cause he was suddenly changed into a girl, and get slightly breasts then you do? It just wasn’t fair, I fully got a body fitting my age, and only to have my hopes dash minutes later because I got a call from my best friend. So I asked again, is it wrong to hate someone just because of a bad hand they were dealt? The sound of my phone going off brought me back to reality and I answered it, turning on the speaker again. “…So you see what I mean, right?” she asked flatly. It clicked in my mind at that moment, and my precious jealously was forgotten. If she turned into a humanoid Rainbow Dash then it more then likely that I would go through something like that. The hand that was holding my phone starting to shake ferociously and I needed to use my other hand to hold it still. “W-W-What do you think I should do?” I asked, my voice trembling to the point it sounded like I was stumbling. Rupert suddenly went quiet, and I only could guess that meant she was thinking it over. I tried to picture my friend’s trademark “thinking” face on Rainbow Dash’s face, but that only causes me to become more afraid. Knowing what was going to happen to me and seeing proof of it, was a very unsettling thought. “You can stay at my place, until we can figure something out,” Rupert said, startling me out of my thoughts, thankfully. “What? Why?” I asked sharply, caught off guard by the suggestion. I heard my friend sigh faintly and then she began to explain in a sharp tone, “Listen, you live in a busy part of our small city. Don’t you think people are going to be weary if they suddenly began seeing a humanoid horse?” Ouch, that was a little hush, true but harsh. Still…thinking about it a bit, she did have a point. My house was right in center of a busy part of our little city town, and it would bring up a lot of questions if someone did happen to see a purple horse walking around. But I could easily avoid that if I just keep the curtains closed and stay indoors. “Listen, I know what you’re thinking, and I don’t think it would work,” Rupert said, bringing me out of my thoughts. “There’s just too much that could go wrong. My house is pretty far out, and my parents would gone until Saturday and my sister wouldn‘t be home until later, but I don’t think I need to tell you about my parents” Of course he didn’t need to tell me that, my parents were accompanying his, though why, I don’t know. Still…I don’t see why I need to go to his place to hide out? “Listen, I know you believe you’re safe, but I don’t think you should take any risks,” Rupert said, her tone softening slightly. “And didn’t you once tell me you had a really nosy neighbor?” I wince slightly as I thought about my neighbor. Not only was she a nosy busybody she was also a gossip hound. She once started a nasty rumor that my dad was having an affair, just because she saw different woman entering our place. A lot of town folk began hating on me day and continue until everything was clear up. It turns out that mom just had a mix up at the salon and it ended with her getting red hair. The sound of my friend’s voice once again brought me back from thoughts, “Listen just get over here before you changed again. Oh, Richard’s calling. And might want to get something in you system to offset all the booze you had last night.” The line went dead after that, and I was left alone with my thoughts. Booze, huh? I never had trouble with that sort of thing, but I didn’t need to tell any of my friends that. I sigh lightly, as I put my phone onto my bed. I didn’t have time to think about past, I need to get my new tail over to my friend’s house. I stripped down to my birthday suit and threw all my cloths into a nearby cloths ban, and went over to my dresser. I pulled out a fresh pair and cocked an eyebrow when I noticed the hole in my cotton panties. I just shrug it off, and get into them. I moved to my close next, and opened it. I felt both of my eyes begin to twitch when I saw that my underwear wasn’t the only thing to get a change. “Skirts…why did it have to be skirts…? I asked myself bitterly. I began to look through my cloths, trying hard to find anything that wasn’t a skirt. I didn’t find anything remotely close to pants and reluctant gathered up an outfit. I was standing in front of my bathroom mirror five minutes later, after making my outfit. It was a simple, really simple; just a white blouse under a purple lavender sweater vest, a knee-high lavender skirt, black socks, and brown loafers. It wasn’t a bad outfit, except for the skirt. I haven’t worn skirts since I was fourteen, and there’s reasons I don’t want to see that item for long time, reasons I don’t want to get into at the moment. I quickly shook my head to clear it, and looked away from the mirror. I really didn’t have time to daydream about my past. I need to get going before I change any farther. Hmm…wait did I just see something on my cheek? I angled my face so I could my see cheek and studied it. My stomach suddenly dropped when I saw a patch of lavender fur, barely the same of a small bug bit, in the center of my left cheek. I nearly dropped a load in my fresh panties when I saw the patch quickly grew. My brain locked up at this moment, and all I could do is just stand there and watched as the short fur grew all over my face. It only took a minute and my entire body was covered in fur, and my face had been reshaped, now closer to a pony’s face. My ears had also moved up, and were longer, pointed, and twitched uncontrollably. This was all lost on me, however, when I notice the thing sticking out of my forehead. Twilight’s, or maybe it’s my now, horn seemed to shine like it was a golden apple or something. Thoughts began to swim around in my noggin like a mad cow. Could I really use magic with this thing? I do look like Twilight Sparkle, so who to say I can’t do magic? A giddy grin started to form on my face, as I thought of what I could do. A sudden image of my friend as she appears now, popped into my head, a light scolding frown on her cute face. “I’m the Pegasus here, so gets your head out of the clouds,” I could see my friend say something like that, and it caused a small giggle to escape me. But imagination or no imagination, I did need get going. But, first I need to take get something to hide my new face, and I knew the prefect place to get it. I guess I should count myself lucky that good old daddy is a near seven foot giant, so I should be able to get something from his closet to do the trick. I left the bathroom and made the short walk down to my parents’ room. I entered and looked around. It was what one should have expected from a parents’ room, except for the small of dry pottery. My mom’s into pottery and unfortunately for my dad, she doesn’t wait for the thing to dry completely before showing him. It goes without saying that my house smells like dry clay a lot. I wrinkled my nose slightly as I entered into the room, and began my search. It took me only a minute to find the prefect item to hide my new form. It was really just a lavender jogging sweater, but since it was tailored to fit my father like a glove, I figure I would be able to wear like a sort of make shift dress. And it has a hood to that should cover my head and horn good. Satisfied with my choice, I quickly slipped the thing over my head, careful not to tear it with my horn. I was right, the thing went down to my knees, and…my tail! Oh man, with the whole horn business, I had completely forgotten about my tail. I looked behind me to see that the thing had created an awkward dent in the sweater. Talking about a blonde moment and I’m not even a blonde anymore! I frown as I took the article of clothing off. I looked at my tail, which was twitching, probably due to my own emotions at the moment. I frown as I grabbed it. It was soft enough, and not very thick, so I should be able to wrap it around my waist and hopefully it wouldn’t create to big of dent. The only problem was how am I going to keep it tied around my waist, and insure that it wouldn’t fall off? “Hmm…let’s see what mom has around here,” I mutter to myself, as I let my tail go and began to look around. It took about five minutes of searching, but I eventually find what I needed; a couple of large waist bands to hold my tail to my body. I had another waist band around my dad sweater, so I didn’t look like some sort of tramp, and a pair of large suspenders to ensure my hands aren’t covered my the sweater’s sleeves. Speaking of hands, I was also wearing gloves to cover them. Why my mother had all this stuff and for what reasons, I don’t think I want to know. I was once again standing front of my bathroom mirror, looking over the makeshift outfit. I looked silly really; I looked like some sort of kid that to rummage through their parents’ cloths just because she forgot to do her wash. In an ironic sense, I did raid my parents’ cloth, but I really didn’t have much of choice at the moment, now did I? I sigh faintly as I let all of my thoughts go. I really should be getting to Rupert’s place before anything bad happens. But first things first, I need to get my cell from my room. I walked back into my room and retain my phone from where I left it. I was about to leave when I notice that the picture that Rupert had sent me was still open. I looked at the picture, namely my friend’s face. She looks so much like Rainbow Dash, and yet I could see so much of my friend in that face. It was just something about these eyes, those lovely magenta eyes that seems so familiar to me. I smiled slightly as I saved the picture for a later use. I was about to leave when my phone began to vibrate, telling me I had another text message. I looked at it and saw it was from Pam Potter, my female best friend and Rupert’s cousin. I knew I shouldn’t be wasting time with texts, but something told me to check it and I opened it. “Pi…Pin…ink…triple frowny face?” I frown as I read my friend’s short message for over and over again. It took me nearly five minutes to understand what my friend’s message meant, and when I finally did get it, my stomach did lung forward and I found myself bolting out of my house, stopping long enough to lock the door behind me. I pray to any power that might be out there that I was wrong and my friend was just hung-over, but if that wasn’t the case, then things are much worse then I first thought.
