A little Dusty

by Super-Stallion

Dusty meets the Mane 6

When Fluttershy got to Sugarcube Corner with Lightning and Rainbow in the stroller, she was warmly greeted by all her friends. They all agreed to meet at their usual place under the condition not to hurt Lightning when Fluttershy came with her today.

"Aww!" Pinkie exclaimed. "She's so~ cute!" Pinkie bounded over to the turquoise foal, and scooped her up. She didn't like the fact that Lightning tried to take Rainbow's mind, but, as in most cases, it is easily forgotten when they're cute and adorable. If she did harbour any ill-emotion towards Lightning, she certainly wouldn't show it. "How could something as cute and huggable as you try to do anything to hurt Dashie!?" Pinkie asked Lightning.

Lightning rolled her eyes. "Maybe 'cause she had me kicked out the Wondewbowts." she retorted.

"Well that don't give ya the right to do such a thing!" Applejack shouted. She was arguably the most angry out of the others about Lightning. She couldn't stand a pony who wanted to hurt others especially if it were to affect a pony forever, and even more so if it involved her friends. It was those types that just made the cowpony's blood boil. "Maybe somepony should bend you over their knee and give ya a spankin!" she threatened.

Lightning flinched. 'She looks serious,' she thought to herself beginning to fear Applejack's threat. Fluttershy took notice that Dusty uneasy. She approached the orange mare.

"Applejack," she said in a stern and soft voice. "Do you really think she needs anymore punishment? I mean just look at her," Fluttershy said motioning to Lightning. "I think we can let her off, just this once."

Lightning was shocked. Fluttershy had defended her against Applejack, even though she had tried to get rid of Rainbow. She sat agape until she shook her head ashrugging the thought away...

Applejack's demeanor shifted to a repentant one. She sighed. "Okay sugarcube. If you say so." she looked at the other foal. "How you doin' Rainbow?" she asked.

Rainbow shrugged. "I'm otay I guess. Fwuttewshy's taking good cawe of me." she replied calling Fluttershy by her name instead of mommy. She had a certain 'tough' image to uphold even if she was a foal.

Twilight smiled. "That's good. When I heard from Fluttershy that you managed to recover your mind, I couldn't be more happy," She said and turned around. "and there's somepony here who missed you too."

Lightning watched Twilight walk to a stroller and stooped down to get something. She came back holding a blue foal with a silver mane. The foal waved at Rainbow.

"Hey Wainbow Dash. Where have you been?" Trixie asked.

Rainbow waved back. "Hi Twixie! I've been stuck at home for a while," she replied. Since their last playdate together, before Lightning tried to kidnap her, the two really had gotten to know each other and kinda became friends.

Lightning was a bit confused. "Wait, you two know each othew?" she asked.

"Well of course! Who wouldn't know about the gweat and powewful Twixie!" Trixie declared.

Rainbow shook her head. Even after all this time, Trixie would still gloat every now and again. Rainbow looked at Lightning, "Wightning Dust this is Trixie." She swiveled her head to to Trixie. "Twixie, meet Wightning Dust."

Trixie looked at Lightning. "Hewwo Dust. I heawd what you did to Dash and I must say," she started crossing her forehooves in a bemusement. "What you did was way worse than what Twixie would have ever done to anypony." she said.

Lightning turned red with rage. "Well, maybe I had a good reason for it!" she yelled.

"Lightning!" Fluttershy scolded surprised by Lightning's sudden rage. "We don't yell at other ponies."

Lightning pouted and crossed her arms.

Twilight looked at Trixie, and then at Lightning. "Maybe we should talk about something else!" Twilight insisted feeling something bad starting to brew in the air.

"OH! Oh, oh, oh, oh!" Pinkie interjected bouncing with excitement. "I know what these little cuties can do while we talk." she said starting to bounce in place excited about the idea she just had.

Fluttershy looked at her curiously and a bit worried. "What do you have in mind Pinkie Pie?" she asked.

"Well, since it's been a while since Rainbow and Trixie played together, and with Lightning here, I thought maybe we can have them play up in the Cakes' room for a while! Mr. and Mrs. Cake went out and brought the twins with them. They said they won't be back for a while, so they can play in there and get to know each other." Pinkie said in one breath.

Fluttershy and Twilight thought about it for a minute. They glanced at each other and shrugged. They nodded in agreement. "Okay Pinkie, we'll go with your plan." Twilight said for both her and Fluttershy.

Lightning facehooved. They wanted her to play with Rainbow and Trixie like a baby.

Fluttershy and Twilight then followed Pinkie upstairs and into the Cakes room. They set all three foals on the floor.

Lightning looked back at the adults before they left. "Fwuttewshy," she whined. "You don't really expect me to play with these two, do you?" she asked a bit angry.

"Yes," she said, appearing oblivious to the foal. "I think you should make up with Rainbow and if that means that you two need to spend more time together, then so be it."Fluttershy stated. Even if they spent all that time at home together, Rainbow and Lightning haven't talked or even bothered to try and forgive each other for what the other did. They would just sit in opposite rooms and never look at each other unless somepony made them.

"But Fwuttewshy, I don't wike her!" Rainbow complained.

Fluttershy looked at Rainbow. "Rainbow, you and Lightning have to get along now. You two will be living together after all. That means no fighting, no squabbling, and no ignoring each other." she said flatly.

Rainbow pouted and turned away from Fluttershy. The yellow pegasus pulled her into a hug. "Come on Rainbow... Please?" Fluttershy begged giving her a nuzzle. Rainbow looked up to see Fluttershy's pleading face and sighed.

"Otay Fwuttershy... I'll twy," Rainbow said with defeat. Fluttershy's hug got a little tighter. She put Rainbow back on the floor.

"Good to hear. Now I got something for the both of you," Fluttershy said. The two foals looked at her curiously. She flew downstairs for a minute then came with Rainbow's Spitfire doll.

Rainbow gasped reaching for the doll which Fluttershy handed over gladly. She began cuddling the doll lovingly almost immediately.

Lightning watched as Rainbow cuddled her toy, then looked at Fluttershy. "If you have anyting for me, you can forget it. I dun play with dolls." she protested.

Fluttershy smiled. She did have something for Dusty. Something that may just change her mind. She reached behind her back and pulled out another Wonderbolt doll. Instead of Spitfire, however, it was a Soarin' doll.

Lightning's eyes grew to near ungodly sizes. She could not help but squee in delight. "Ohmygosh! Soawin'!" she yelled. She realized what she said and hastily cleared her throat trying to get back her composure from acting so childish about a doll. "I mean, I dun need that doww. I'm a gwown up," Lightning protested trying to still look cool.

"Oh! Well then..." Fluttershy looked away and pushed the doll behind her back again. "I'll just take it back then," Fluttershy said about to leave the room again with the doll.

"Wait!" Lightning Dust extended both hooves waving in the air. "Um, I couwd howd it for you untiw we go back home. I mean, I would hate fow you to cawwy that thing awound all day, and get tiwed of looking at it fow so long or something." Lightning said with worry.

Fluttershy smiled. She knew Lightning just wanted the doll. That was the same thing Rainbow did when she wanted the Spitfire doll. In a way, Lightning and Rainbow were the same. Fluttershy gave her the doll, which Lightning cuddled mirroring Rainbow's reaction.

"D'aww!" Pinkie said who had been quiet, surprisingly. "I think it's time we left these little cuties by themselves." she said hopping out of the room and back downstairs where Applejack and Rarity were waiting.

Twilight looked at Trixie. "You be good, Trixie." she said

Trixie nodded. "Otay, I'll be good," she said. Twilight leaned down kissed her on the cheek and left.

Fluttershy looked at both Lightning and Rainbow who were still holding there dolls. "I'm leaving you two up here alone until it's time to go. Can I trust you two to be good while I'm gone?" she asked.

Rainbow smiled. "Otay!" she said happily for her mommy.

Lightning simply nodded.

Fluttershy smiled, giving both foals a kiss on the cheek. She went out the door closing it behind her.

Lightning sighed. This was going to be a long, long day.
