It seems I my abruptness at my last meeting with Cadence has put some distance between us. This is regrettable. Though it is true that the only thing I have in common with her is Celestia’s shadow, she is unpredictable enough that she may throw off Sister’s schemes. For that she has my respect. 

She is the only pony I have known since my return to be angry with me. Sister’s distrust is based more on what she feels about me than what she feels for me. She is afraid. She worries that an unkind word or a misplaced jest may cause the darkness to return. 

It is an odd complaint, to say that my sibling will not be angry with me. Yet everything she says to me is cold and detached. I am to be treated delicately until she decides that I can be trusted to withstand a harsh gaze or unkind word without shattering. 
Cadence’s anger is mostly unfounded and something of a petty sentiment to hold, yet I find it oddly… comforting.
