CHAPTER 20
Corruption
King Sombra’s army was growing fast throughout the land of Equestria, everywhere his army touched there was more corruption spreading. Leader Wolf Tongue lead the army, he was fearless. Wolf was originally a guard for the Crystal Empire, but the changelings got to him before he could fight back. He lead the army straight through Ponyville, he felt the fear of the nearby ponies. Every time this happened he knew that something was wrong about what he was doing, but when he had that thought he would also think. “I’m loyal to the Crystal Empire this is my task, and I will prevail!” He halted in Ponyville to have his army rest for the night.
Shining Armor observed the lights starting up in Ponyville not so far away. He sighed then started to walk away, he headed for the guard barracks. As he entered the room he noticed the new guard prepared for battle. “Why are you in such uniform without being instructed to?” Shining Armor said to the new guard. He looked at Shining Armor, and said “My name is ChainBall I’m preparing for the upcoming battle, I’m guessing you’ve already seen the lights?” Shining Armor nodded, then looked at the ground with a frown on his face. He left the barracks to go gather some rest for he didn’t know what to expect for the next few days, he entered into his room. Princess Cadence was waiting at the door for him, he walked passed her, and said “You must find somewhere safe, I don’t want you to get hurt this is going to be my battle, and I will not let Canterlot fall. But just in case i want you to hide, I can’t bare to lose you.” He turned to her, and looked her in the eyes while saying “I love you” they both moved toward each other for a hug.
“Come on it was this direction” Pinkie Pie screamed while hopping at full speed toward the rainbow in the sky. Fluttershy started to fly as fast as she could, she couldn’t be anymore happy in her life. She was going to see her best friends all together again. Rarity took a major rush ahead of all of them, she was careless for her looks at this point all she wanted to do is see the other three from their group for they all loved each other very much.
“Hold on stop what you’re doing, i think i hear something.” Twilight said while keeping very still. Raindrop and Derpy came around the corner of the rocks. They slowed down at the sight of the other three. “Hey Raindrops, Derpy where are the others.” Rainbow Dash said. They both stopped, and turned around then bolted in the opposite direction of the camp. Rainbow Dash started to chase them, she wanted the answer to her question. When she finally caught up to the two of them she asked again. “They were behind us a little bit, but they know where you are” Raindrops said with a big smile. Rainbow Dash sped up into amazing speeds she just wanted to see her friends. In a flash the two that she thought were Raindrops and Derpy showed their real forms. The two changelings pulled out nets to try and capture the pegasi where it flew, but Rainbow Dash was too excited to see her friends that she went into super speed. As Rainbow Dash looked behind herself she stopped at a major breaking speed, and lead the two changeling straight into a tree.
