Chapter 1: The Beginning

It was no easy task to bring our imaginary land to life. It required a lot of strength and stamina from both me and Luna. But it was worth it. But, we weren't able to do it without learning many new spells and conjurations to pull it off. We spent day and night, week after week, month after month, learning new creation spells and conjuration spells from the Royal Family's wizard, Starswirl the Bearded.
Starswirl was the wisest and most powerful wizard in all the land. He mentored us in conjuration and creation of matter so that we could fabricate such a place. The spells were hard and exhausting to learn, but Luna and I did learn them after much learning and practice. Starswirl continued to mentor us until we were able to match his skill of creation magic. Even though he taught us how to do the sort of magic we needed to create our land, he was unable to help us fabricate it.
Now, you may think, "why could Starswirl not help us create this land". Even though he was a fully grown unicorn with almost unlimited magical abilities, the strain would have been to much for him to bear. The only reason Luna and I were able to cast these spells as young as we were, was that we were alicorns. Alicorns are able to cast more powerful and complicated spells than unicorns because we are stronger, magic wise, than unicorns.. Starswirl was only able to create small things, such as fruits or at the most, a small tree or shrub.
The way to cast these spells was not complex. What you had to do was to imagine what you desired, and put magic through that thought. It was simple enough. How strong the magic we put into this spell, though, depended on how much we desired what we wanted to conjure. The more we desired it, the more powerful the magic. But there was only one problem with us doing this. It was exhausting. Using large amounts of magic is very demanding of strength and stamina, even for an alicorn, especially ones as young as us.
This was the challenge of creating our land. It would require every bit of strength that either of us had in us. To create small things was easy after practice, but to create a whole land would not be in any way easy. It was not a very complex spell, but in our case it would be very long and drawn out, This is why it would not be easy to bring our imaginary land to life. It would also take a lot of effort for Luna and I to shape the landscape.
As Luna and I were able to create bigger and more complex things over time, we decided that it was time to begin creating our land. We looked each other deep in the eyes, took a deep breath, and began to cast the spell. The spell started off just like any other fabrication spell, but began to intensify as we continued to shape the land.I was forming the land itself, and Luna added the details to the land, such as oceans, valleys, mountains, and other things of the sort. Things were starting to take shape. Mountains became larger, oceans became deeper, and trees became taller.
As the spell intensified, we rose up into the air. I looked at Luna, and Luna looked at me. Luna's eyes were glowing brilliant white with the bright intensity as the morning sun. Not only were hers glowing, but so were mine. We then turned from each other after taking notice of an even brighter light next to us. The light grew in size until it got so large that it exploded with a bang that was loud enough to make a pony go deaf.
We fell to the ground with a thud. As quickly as it started, it was finished. Luna and I stood up and looked around. We saw land, but not our home land where we lived, but the land we had created. Our kingdom that we imagined up all those years ago. It had finally became real. After we regained enough strength to actually function and think properly, we came up with a name for our land. We called it Equestria.
