After they thought that they lost Ahuizoti's falcon, Flint got back into the cart, then started to pull the cart to the college. Silver Chisel looked at Daring, then he said, "Are you sure that he's here?" Daring nodded, then said, "He should be, especially since you sent that message to him." Silver Chisel nodded, then said, "Well, thankfully I knew that simple letter sending spell." They soon went over to the science building, noticing that all the lights in the building were out. Suddenly, a light went on, in on the second floor. Daring smiled, then looked at Silver Chisel who smiled back at Daring. Flint, Daring, and Silver Chisel entered the building and headed up to the second floor. As they went down the hallway, they saw the light in one of the classroom. Daring knocked on the door, then hid behind a trashcan. Soon, the door opened to reveal a mind-green unicorn. "Professor Heartstrings?" Daring said. Professor Heartstrings looked around, then said, "Daring? Where are you? I got your letter." "That's not important. What's important is that I need your help, Lyle." she said. Lyle Heartstrings finally found the source of the voice, and turned toward the can. "Daring, quit with the games and come out. Now what's with the your letter saying about transformation magic?" There was a pause that lasted a minute, then a sigh. Finally, Daring slowly came out. Now normal ponies would faint at the sight of Daring. Lyle Heartstrings wasn't normal. He looked at Daring with a look not of fear, but of wonderment. "Daring, do you know what you are?" he said. Daring was slightly confused, why Lyle didn't faint or anything, then shook it off. "Quickly, come inside you three." he then said, then entered. They soon followed behind the unicorn, and did what they were told. They soon saw the area. The laboratory was filled with gadgets and electronic computers he made himself. On one table, there was test tubes, filled with different colored chemicals that went to different tubes and mixed with others. In another one, there was a centrifuge that spun the chems around. On a chalkboard was a unfinished equation, and a rough sketch of bipedal creature. A skeleton model of a pony was hanging on a metal device, and several books were on a wooden desk. The door magically closed behind them, the locked. The three jumped by the sudden slamming of the door, turning towards the door, then turned back towards the desk, to which papers were flying out everywhere from the drawers. He then got up, and pulled out his notebook. "Welcome Daring and friends to my laboratory." he said, suddenly disappearing in a puff of smoke. He then appeared again in a puff of smoke on the couch. "Would you like a cup of tea?" he said, pouring himself a cup. Daring looked at his friends, Silver Chisel and Flint, then back at her friend Lyle. She sighed, tired of the stress. 'This is going to be a long night.' she thought A few minutes, and lots of notes later... Daring had finished the story, (deciding beforehand that she would tell both stories for the sake of it,) as the three of them sat there, amazed at Daring's journey as well as her friend. "So, let me get this straight. You basically went to the alien planet called... What was it again?" "Earth." Daring said. Lyle nodded, adding, "I see." while writing more information down. He then looked over the notes he took as Daring told her story, then looked them over. "This proves my theory. This proves that our Earth and their Earth was once, One Earth. How they split into two, well... That remains a mystery." he said, looking them over again. Daring was confused as to why Professor Heartstrings had come to that conclusion. She was about to ask why, when he suddenly placed the notes into his lab coat, then trotted past Daring, Flint, and Trowel. The three of them soon followed Lyle to see where the colt was heading. They soon came to a stop at a giant bookshelf, nailed to the wall. There were many different books all over the shelves, of all different colors and sizes. Lyle looked over the bookshelf, trying to find the right book that he was looking for. "Lyle," Daring said, getting her friend's attention, "What are we looking for?" Lyle, who was listening to what Daring asked, continued to look for the book without missing a beat. "We're looking for a book. The book has a white cover and mentions something in the title... "Odd and Strange" something... But where the heck did I place that thing?" he said. Daring looked all over the shelf, until she noticed something. Her eyes fell upon the cover of the book, to which it was glowing. The Guidebook's Odd and Strange Myths From Legendary Places, to Artifacts of Unknown Daring nudged Lyle, then pointed towards the top shelf. He looked at the shelf, then said, "I think I can reach that up above, just have to climb it." he said. Daring was thinking for a moment how it was a bad idea, but Lyle was too focused to find a way to do it the easy way. He climbed hoof after hoof, trying to reach the book. Flint nibbled on his nails in nervousness, while Chisel was in awe, and Daring was trying to find a way to quickly help her friend. She looked around the laboratory, trying to find a way to help her friend. Suddenly, her eyes fell upon, what could be her only hope in saving Lyle. Lyle soon finally made it to the top, then levitated the book. He held the book up in victory, when he suddenly lost his balance. Flint covered his eyes and Chisel prepared himself to catch Lyle in a telekinetic blast. Lyle soon fell, thinking that this was going to hurt, when suddenly he felt as though, as if something has caught his tail. He then looked behind him, seeing Daring holding onto his tail. "But ho-" he started, when he noticed the ladder that Daring was on. "Ah, that explains it." he said, as he was taken down by the help of Daring Do. She finally placed him on the ground, then she jumped off the ladder. He took one look at her hands, looked at the book, looked at the ladder, and then he went back towards the couch. He then suddenly stopped dead in his tracks, then fell over.
