CHAPTER 16
The Portal
They all woke up from their sleep to see the Moon-transport orb hovering over the fire. “What do you suppose this means?” Applejack said with a worried face. Twilight turned to her group of eight then said “I don’t know what this is, but it seems like a good idea to go through. I mean last time we used this it put us in a good position, what is on the other side that is what I’m wondering.” Twilight entered the portal without any questions. Rainbow Dash, Derpy, Spike, Raindrops, and Applejack followed. After those had entered the portal closed. Fluttershy started to freak out, Pinkie Pie tried to calm her down. This was not possible because their group was now separated Fluttershy couldn’t handle this kind of pressure to assign a new leader, or even to leave her friends. Rarity was still in shock from what had just happened, but Pinkie seemed to be fine. She wasn’t fine at all though in her head she was thinking “I must help my friends”, but she was really astonished by what just happened. None of these ponies were fine at all for they just saw their friends disappear through a portal that just closed on them.
Twilight looked behind herself as the portal closed she collapsed in the shock that not all of them made it. Applejack continued on past Twilight, and didn’t look behind in fact she was in so much shock she was unaware of how her emotions were shooting off at that point in time. Rainbow Dash shot up into the sky to see if she could go, and find her other friends. Derpy and Raindrops followed Rainbow Dash, and helped her to a stop to say “We will go and find your friends, and reunite them with you guys take a break you all look very shocked. Go tell Twilight what we are doing, and you guys can’t change our minds.”
Shining Armor woke up from a nightmare he quickly got into his armor, and went for a stroll around the patrols. He had noticed that he was shaking the whole time. “I need to recall this dream, and get help I can’t go around like this forever.” Shining Armor said to himself with a frown. A shadow cast upon many wall was following him, but he didn’t notice for he was still recalling from his memory of the dream what had happened. Shining Armor stopped to turn around, but he caught himself for he saw Cadence standing in front of him before he could decide to turn away. “What frightens you? I don’t want you to be in such conditions while we are on the edge of war. We need you to defend Canterlot, do it for the Princess. Do it for your sister, but most of all do it for me.” Cadence said with pride. Shining Armor Collapsed where he stood he looked up at his beautiful wife from which he said “I love you, if you weren’t here Canterlot would have already fallen. The Crystal Empire shattered, and my life ruined. Thank you.” Shining Armor picked himself up from the ground, and started to stumble back to his sleeping quarters.
“Celestia they got separated what should we do about this. We don’t want them in this state they are under enough pressure as it is, but loosing their friends will make it much worse.” Luna said to her sister.
