CHAPTER 15
The Great Journey
It was a warm winter morning in the kingdom of King Sombra. The nine of them continued to walk on for this was just the beginning of their “Great Journey”, Derpy and Raindrops spent most of their time behind the group having fun with each other. “Hey you guys can come up here if you want, we haven’t really talked all that much since we’ve been together this whole time.” Rarity said with a smile. Derpy and Raindrops moved up towards the group, and Derpy said “sorry we have been talking about how Canterlot is doing I don’t want to be worrying you guys.” Twilight smiled then looked at Derpy with that smile while saying “what is there to worry about I’m pretty sure my brother has the defense held up just fine.” Derpy looked at the ground while stopping, they all stopped with her. “Your brother has been having trouble with his spell especially having to worry about you six coming back.” Derpy said with a frown on her face. Twilight looked at her in sadness with tears in her eyes just with the thought of her brother failing Canterlot was something she couldn’t hold back from sobbing for the rest of the day for. Applejack saw the tears forming in Twilight’s eyes, she quickly gathered up every pony for a group hug for Twilight really needed it.
“Princess Celestia the horn has changed back to its original state, what do you think this means. Have they failed us?” Shining Armor said with his magic slowly fading. Celestia looked Shining Armor straight in the eye without any hesitation she said “Of course they haven’t failed us, I don’t expect them to fail either now go rest for you really need it.” Shining Armor went in for some sleep, but all he could think of was that horn changing back into the dark magic it was originally. “I couldn’t help but notice you’re having trouble sleeping, what is on your mind Shining?” Cadence moved into the room like a shadow cast upon a wall. She went over the Shining before he could answer their eyes locked, and they kissed Shining Armor forgot all about the horn for he was in wonderland with his wife. After that night he found himself very refreshed, and happy he knew his sister was fine, and she would be for a long time.
“We should make camp here for tonight i think Twilight needs some time to think.” Applejack said with a frown on her face, she knew it was hard for Twilight knowing her brother was really worried about her. Just before going to sleep they all rushed in to comfort Twilight she really needed the company of her five best friends, and even the other two she barely knew them, but Derpy had been her favorite mail service ever. Derpy rushed over to Twilight held out both of her hooves with a muffin in between them. “Do you want a muffin?” Derpy said while gesturing the muffin toward Twilight. She accepted it, and then went to sleep. The horn had changed again this time it was between the dark, and the light it was the perfect balance, it was the world itself. Everypony woke up the next morning to find the horn floating in the middle of the camp, it looked as if something weird was going to happen.
