//------------------------------// // Minecraft admin, Game 1 // Story: Let's play some games with Leon, Luna, and Eddy // by Fireheart 1945 //------------------------------// Leon turned on his computer, putting his headset on. He was all too eager for yet another day of fun. "Good afternoon, Leon," came the Princess' voice. "Afternoon, Luna. Ready for another round of playing admin?" "Oh yes. I hope Edward joins in." "He said he would. He should be along in a little while." "Well, okay, then, lets log in." "'Kay." Leon clicked on one of the icons on his screen, one for a very popular game. Minecraft. He'd gotten the game a while ago, and on the server he had joined he had done pretty well for himself, enough so that the Owner of the server had asked him to become an admin, and he, along with Luna, had said yes. Of course, part of the reason was because the staff for the server had been quite short at the time, and needed the extra back up. In fact, staff was still quite a bit short. Which was why Leon had to be on full alert. He and Luna hadn't gotten to be admins because of carelessness; as in every game, there were people willing to cheat, lie, and do other devious things. Right now, Leon was walking through a strip mine. It looked like a regular mineshaft... until he came to a point where someone had suddenly branched off for no apparent reason. He followed the trail, logblock in hand, and, at the end of the shaft, checked the area; sure enough, someone had found diamonds here. And the only way they could have seen it... Yep, x-ray. In real life, Leon shook his head. Why people would cheat at a game that had no real bearing on outside life was beyond him. In Minecraft, x-ray was a mod that allowed the user to see through blocks (usually stone) in order to find valuable ores, in this case diamond. This needed looking into at once. 05-07 15:16:20; GildaTheWarrior destroyed block diamond_ore. That was what the logblock told him. He wondered who exactly that was, but it sounded familiar. He hit the command; /tp GildaTheWarrior. He was immediately warped to a tunnel under the earth, and he needed only a moment to realize what was going on. A figure with a Griffon shape was breaking redstone that lead to several switches, which Leon recognized as belonging to the PVP arena he'd helped build and modify. Since contact with Equestria and the neighboring countries of it, pony and Griffon skins had become available in the game. Pony, zebra, and Griffon skins, unlike all the others, were four-legged; they looked the same as their counterparts in Equestria, except, of course, for the fact that they were blocky, just like everything else in the game. Well if this is who I think it is, I'm going to have some fun. He typed /back, and was warped back to the point where he had found the x-ray evidence. There was a lava pit close by. He typed /put GildaTheWarrior. Instantly a flailing Griffon was set into the lava; the tit tit tit sound, reserved for when a player was receiving damage, went crazy. In seconds, the Griffon stopped moving altogether, then vanished. The words GildaTheWarrior tried to swim in lava came up on chat. "WTF!?" Another person, or Griffon, rather, that thinks they're entitled to whatever they want. Leon sighed. "So..." he typed. "Griefing the arena?" "No. Not me." "Yes, you. Explain." "I'm telling." Ignoring that, Leon typed, "You realize I was vanished and watching you rip up the redstone under the arena, right?" "You got it all wrong." "No I don't. I saw you with my own eyes." "Oh, did you catch someone?" Luna asked over the headset. "Yep." In the game, he warped to the arena, where several players, including a certain RainbowDash789, the account that actually belonged to the famous pegasus, were engaged in combat; the pony model was as good as the humanoid skins that she battled alongside. /put GildaTheWarrior. Ch g. /vanish. By typing this, he put himself in global chat, as well as bringing the errant Griffon in front of him and becoming visible. This time, she was devoid of the diamond armor she had worn. "Griefing player and admin-made structures in against the rules," he typed. Everyone in the arena stopped fighting within seconds. "Also," he added, "what about your x-ray?" No one typed or said anything for several seconds. "Not me." "Yes, you," Leon repeated. "Explain it, in front of everyone. Now." "Gilda," Rainbow typed, "Why?" "I have no idea what he's talking about; I was just mining and he put me in lava for no reason." "Yes, you were mining... mining redstone that had been placed under the arena to operate machinery. And that's not the only problem." Again, there was an uncomfortable silence, except for the music in the background. "I found evidence you x-rayed using logblock... and common sense." "Your a liar." "It's you're. And no I am not. You dug straight to diamond. And it wasn't just in the place where I put you in lava. I found evidence of it earlier, in a mineshaft you dug straight down, then tried to cover up with cobblestone." "I need to see where your talking about." "No you don't. I'm just giving you a chance to admit to it. It's been proven beyond any doubt." Silence. "You realize you broke the rules in more than one instance, both offenses of which are bannable, then lied about it." Leon went into the creative menu, put a lava bucket in his inventory, then closed the creative window. "One last time. You x-rayed and griefed the arena; this is not a question." After several seconds, the answer came back; "No. You suck. You're lame, and this whole server and everyone on it is lame!" "Not as lame as your character will be." With that, Leon got out a lava bucket and poured it over her head. Gilda didn't last very long before the message that she had tried to swim in lava came up again. Leon then toggled his fly abilities on, flew up, typed /bring GildaTheWarrior, and watched as Gilda was immediately teleported a hundred feet into the air only to fall to the ground and die again. He teleported to her after she had respawned, and hit /spawnmob skeleton 10. Ten skeletons immediately came into being and shot at Gilda; the only problem was, half of them had hit other skeletons, who turned around and shot back, starting a ridiculously big fight between the mobs. "Oops. Hold on, I meant to do this." /spawnmob creeper 20 Twenty creepers spawned, saw their target, and blew up seconds later, incidentally killing all the battling skeletons along with Gilda. Having had his fun, Leon typed /ban GildaThe Warrior - xray, griefing, lied - also horrible temper and attitude, and was gratified to see his words repeated at once in the chat screen. "Sorry Leon," Rainbow said in chat, "I thought she really had changed." "Don't be," he replied, "It wasn't your fault. Now, who's ready for spleef?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few hours later, the event over, Leon was again looking for potential cheaters. And again, he came upon a tunnel that looked suspicious. Some people never learn, he thought to himself. Now, what does logblock say... oh... DiamondTiarais1337. Well, that couldn't be a coincidence. He checked to see if that player - and he had a good idea who it really was - was on. As a matter of fact, she was. Leon made himself invisible, then teleported over to her. A Diamond Tiara model was in an underground base, looking into chests; no doubt she was stealing whatever had been placed there. Not good. Obviously, blowing her up wasn't an option, not here in someone else's base, and lava would destroy the items she'd stolen. So he typed /kill DiamondTiarais1337, and watched as her character suddenly stopped moving and died, vanishing and leaving the stolen goods on the ground. Let's see; some diamonds, some diamond armor, three diamond swords, and three emeralds, probably stolen from the chest. That was really impressive, not even counting the rest of the loot. "Hey, who was stealing from my chest?" someone typed. Turning around, he wasn't surprised to see an Applebloom model looking into the chest, with the intriguing name Applebloomflower777 over her head. "I'll explain in a minute," Leon typed. He then teleported to Diamond Tiara. The young pony player was standing still; obviously she was still in shock over what had just happened and was trying to figure it out. "So..." he typed. "About that x-ray you have..." "Who said that? Where are you?" "Oh really?" Luna asked over the headset, "another one?" "Yep. And she was stealing from one of your own subjects." "Oh, well, that won't do. Hold on, I have the perfect solution..." He heard her giggle a little. Back in the game, Leon made himself visible. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" "Lol. So, let's talk about the x-ray you've been using... and about using chest finder." After about fifteen seconds, the response came; "no." "Yes." "I didn't do it." Really? I see you do it with my own eyes and you deny it? "Yes you did. You realize of course that I saw you do it, don't you?" "She stole my stuff." "Nope. I've been in your tunnels; obvious x-ray. And the big hole in the wall you used to enter the room shows signs of chest finder..." "What's chest finder?" "You would know. It's like x-ray, but with chests." "No." "For the last time, yes." "Let me go back through my own tunnels; I'll prove it." "It's already been proven. You x-rayed. And you used it to steal from another player's base." Diamond Tiara didn't answer. "I assume you read the rules..." "Uh, sure?" "Tell me, what does it say about hacking?" "Well..." There was no reply for twenty seconds. "Yep. Thought so. You didn't even read the rules. The rules clearly state that anyone who gets caught hacking will be banned. I'm just giving you a chance to admit to it and have a small chance at an appeal for an unban. Last chance." "Not me." "Sigh." Over the headset, Leon asked, "Is it set up yet, Princess?" "Yes. Hold on." Suddenly Diamond Tiara disappeared. "Hey, what the..." Leon was interrupted when his character was teleported away. Walls of obsidian were the first thing he noticed, sparsely lit by torches. The ceiling was covered with cobwebs, and iron bars were before him, with Diamond Tiara being behind them. "Your obsidian castle?" he asked Luna. "Yes. Do you like it? We... er, I, put a lot of work into it." "Yeah, it's awesome!" "Thank you." In chat, the Princess typed, "AND NOW FOR YOU, OUR UNFAITHFUL SUBJECT!" "Wait. Ur the Princess." "WE ARE!!!" "Pleaz don ban me; he's aliar!" "HOW DARE YOU LIE IN OUR AUGUST PRESENCE! WE KNOW OF YOUR UNFAIR TREATMENT OF YOUR PEERS!" "Also, she was stealing from Applebloom," Leon added verbally. "She'll pay for that," the Princess answered via headset. In chat, she typed, "YOU SHALL FACE PUNISHMENT FOR YOUR CRIMES!" "Wut r u going to do?" "IT IS THE LABYRINTH FOR YOU!" Diamond Tiara was teleported away, and Leon was too after a few more seconds. They were inside a giant room. On the floor, with walls five blocks high, was an enormous maze. The school bully had been placed in one corner; Leon and Luna were floating above it. "I think I know what you have planned," Leon said. "I hope so; we've been friends for many months." Leon typed, "You have one minute to get to the center of the maze. If you do, you go free. If you fail to complete the maze in the time allotted, or you die, you'll be banned for x-ray." "But I didn't." "Starting now." As Diamond Tiara set off reluctantly, he said to Luna, "I seriously hope you know what you're doing. If she somehow gets through this..." "Oh, she won't. If you notice, the maze, as well as being full of traps, is impossible to complete. The center is walled off, and the blocks are protected, so she won't be able to break any of them." "Ah. Nice." "I certainly think so." "Hey guys, what's up?" asked a British voices on the headset. "Hey Eddy. You're just in time to see us mess with another x-rayer." "Oh really?" "Yeah, just tp to me." Eddy's character (a creeper in a suit) came into view a few seconds later. "Ah, this." "Oh, this is going to be good," Luna giggled. "She's almost reached the hidden lava pit." Diamond Tiara had reached a dead end with a switch on the wall. When she hit it, the sand blocks underneath her gave way. Leon hoped he would see the "insert-player-name-here tried to swim in lava" message, but that didn't happen. "Oh, wait. That wasn't the lava pit," Luna realized. "It was the pit filled with dynamite!" "Oh-ho, awesome!" The chat abruptly said, DiamondTiarais1337 blew up. All three of them laughed themselves silly. "Alright, no more fooling around," said Luna. "I'll ban this one." "NO! DON"T BAN ME!!!!!!!!!!!!" DiamondTiarais1337 was banned [x-ray, stealing, lied - I don't know what your tiara is made of, but it's not diamonds. Leon and Eddy again laughed at the witty ban reason. "Well guys, it's been fun. How about a PVP race just for fun?" "Oh yeah!" "The fun shall be doubled... in SPEED!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note; I realize some of you might be a bit disconcerted that this chapter has Minecraft rather than World of Tanks as the game being played. The reasons for this are simple; I am a little bored of World of Tanks, and more than a little tired of the bs Wargaming throws out against players like Millbarge and anyone else who dares to question them. As well, other games have caught my interest, namely Crusader Kings 2, Minecraft, SimCity 2013, Halo Wars, and others. As such, I'm open to suggestions for the renaming off this story, one still with all three names in it. Again, Wargaming has lost my interest for following the example of the Soviet Union and it's system in banning and silencing people who try to oppose them, and for their hypocritical policies (not caring about griefers and teamkillers, but worrying about every little thing being said on the forums). I may regain interest eventually, especially after World of Battleships comes online, but for now I'm taking a break from World of Tanks. As for those waiting for more Robotech, please know that I am currently really torn up on whether to continue the story as it is or to edit the more most recent chapter (Enter Khyron) to have the ponies taken more actions and basically rewrite the whole "Sara Base on Mareis" thing to something more realistic, so it will be a little while. I'm not saying it'll be forever, it'll just be a few weeks before a new chapter is put in place (school is also part of the problem :/). Finally, much of this chapter was inspired by Vertith (a Minecraft admin who posted many punishments of hackers on Youtube) and gtwy (Another admin, known for his catching professional griefer videos).
