CHAPTER 1
A New Journey


"Wake up Twilight, you've received a letter from the Princess" Spike said 

Twilight slowly rose from her bed as she asked
"Why would she send such a letter at this time of the night?" Spike handed the letter to Twilight

My Dearest Twilight you must leave Ponyville at once, there is a danger growing from the farthest lands. Please follow the instructions I send you during your journey. First, Gather up some food, and some camping materials, once your done I will know. 
Please, go do so now.


Twilight started to gather supplies when a thought popped into her head ‘How will she know when I’m done?’ just then Spike came downstairs “we've received another letter from Celestia” he said.

 I have magic that nopony would imagine existed, just continue on with what I asked, I will be seeing you soon.

Twilight finished gathering supplies for what she would think she would need for such a journey. As soon when she packed up the last item Spike had received one more letter.

Go and gather up your friends, you will need them for where you all are going to go.

First Twilight went straight to the house of Fluttershy she knew at least she wouldn’t be angry with being woken up this late at night.Twilight knocked on the door and told Fluttershy that Princess Celestia wanted each and everyone of their friends packed up and ready to leave for a big Journey. Fluttershy hesitated, backed into her cabin and closed the door. Twilight left the cottage assuming Fluttershy was packing her belongings for the trip.

Next Twilight went on to Rainbow Dash’s house to inform her of their new journey. Rainbow Dash was ecstatic, she packed two saddle bags and followed Twilight to Sweet Apple Acres. Granny Smith complained it was too early to have visitors, that is until Applejack came stumbling down the stairs.

Twilight explained the situation, and Applejack made no complaints, went back inside to gather not only her belongings, but plenty of food. Twilight could always count on Applejack. The moon was just about to lower beyond the horizon to put to sleep other parts of Equestria when they reached town. They all approached Rarity’s house/shop, knocked on the door and waited for several minutes before Rainbow Dash flew up to the windows of the second floor to knock on then to inform Rarity her presence was requested of her. She came down stair to ask why her sleep was interrupted, Twilight explained the whole situation, and she must pack all she can, but pack light. Rarity suggested that they go and retrieve Pinkie Pie, so she could finish packing while not in so much of a rush.

Twilight was curious of why they hadn’t seen Fluttershy yet, she assumed that she was just fixing things up before she left, maybe allowing the animals to roam free of her house just to get help from other ponies. That thought would have to rest, they reached Sugar Cube Corner and Pinkie was wide awake with all of her belongings packed. Funny how Pinkie somehow know everything about everypony, even if the thing she knew was something that hadn’t left the four that knew.

After rejecting Rarity’s packing decisions a few times they all left for Fluttershy’s cottage again just to gather her up for the Journey. Upon reaching the door they all knocked, and Fluttershy answered. She seemed to acting sick and wanted to stay out of this “journey” they were being requested to start. Twilight pleaded that they all would need her eventually during the journey, and that they were all friends and they needed each other. Fluttershy finally stopped resisting, and complied. Finally all of them were packed and ready to go.
