//------------------------------// // Trixie's Star Gazer // Story: Trixie's Star Gazer // by yodajax10 //------------------------------// It was a dark night in Ponyville, and Twilight Sparkle was now tucking Spike into his bed. She pulled the covers up to Spike's bed and gave Spike a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight, Spike." said Twilight to her sleeping dragon. She then went downstairs to continue with her studies. A crack of thunder startled Twilight. She went to the window and saw about to close it until she saw somepony who was very small heading into the forest. Twilight looked confused by this. She used her magic to levitate an umbrella over her as she walked outside in the rainy weather. She saw the small pony run through the forest. She instantly ran in the forest, looking around for the pony. Twilight was looking around for the small pony for a long time. She was tired of getting wet, so she decided to turn back and go home. But another crack of thunder startled her. But then she heard some small whimpering. She heard it come from a nearby bush. She peeked through the bush and gasped. It was a small unicorn colt. It had a blue coat and spiky white-blue hair. He looked cold and terrified as he looked with Twilight with his big purple eyes. "Hey, there." said Twilight, reaching her hoof out. "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you." The colt backed away at first. But then another crack of thunder was heard, frightening the colt. He then hid under Twilight in fear as he cried quietly. "Shhh," said Twilight, comforting him. "It's okay, it's okay. You're in good hooves now. Do you have a home to go to?" The colt looked up, but then shook his head. Twilight's eyes widened. She didn't know how to respond, for this colt didn't have a home. "Well, you can come home with me right now." said Twilight. The colt showed a small smile to Twilight. Twilight then levitated the colt on her back as they left to go to Twilight's house. As they walked inside, Twilight gave the colt a blanket to warm himself up. "Are you hungry?" She asked. The colt looked down, but then shook his head. "Well," said Twilight. "Just in case, here's an apple." Twilight gave the colt an apple. The colt then started to eat the apple. "I'll run you a nice bath." said Twilight. Twilight then began to walk upstairs, but then stopped when she heard a voice. "Thank you." said the colt. Twilight turned and smiled at the colt. "You're welcome." She said. Twilight walked upstairs as the colt followed her. Twilight then started the bath, making sure the water was warm as she then helped the colt get in. She stood by the colt the whole time he was in the water, helping him get soaped up as well as drying him up afterwards. Spike walked in the bathroom, rubbing his eyes. "What's going on?" said Spike, yawning. "I'll explain in the morning." said Twilight. "Just go back to sleep right now." Spike shrugged and headed back to sleep. "Hmph," He said. "I can stay up if I can." "Hoo?" said Owlowicious, sitting on his perch. Spike raised an eyebrow at Owlowicious and then mumbled to himself. "Show-off." After the bath, Twilight got in her bed as she allowed the colt to sleep with her. "Goodnight little guy," said Twilight. "Star Gazer," said the colt. "Huh?" said Twilight. "My name is Star Gazer." said the colt. "Well, goodnight Star Gazer." said Twilight as she ruffled Star Gazer's mane. Star Gazer then started to fall asleep, as Twilight put an arm around him as she then fell asleep too. Twilight awoke the next morning to the sun shining. She yawned a little, and then noticed little Star Gazer still under her arm, and he was snuggled into her fur. She smiled at him like how a mother would to her son, as she gave him a little kiss on the forehead. Star Gazer then started to wake up. "Good morning, Star Gazer." said Twilight, sweetly to him. Star Gazer smiled at Twilight. "Good morning," said Star Gazer, getting up. Twilight then put her hoof on Star Gazer's shoulder. "So, how come you don't have a home?" asked Twilight. "I-I'm an orphan." said Star Gazer, looking down. "My mom died when I was a foal." "And...your father?" said Twilight, nervously. "My dad blamed me for Mom's death, and he didn't want anything to do with me. And one day...he...he left me." said Star Gazer, trying not to get choked up. "And how did you end up here?" said Twilight. "I was trying to get away from...my aunt Trixie." Star Gazer grumbled. Twilight's eyes widened. "Your aunt who?" She asked. "My aunt Trixie." said Star Gazer. "Or as she prefers 'The Great and Powerful Trixie'." Twilight couldn't believe what she was hearing. The nephew of the Great and Powerful Trixie was now with Twilight's care. "Aunt Trixie is bringing back her traveling magic show that was previously busted by another unicorn named Twilight Sparkle." "Star Gazer," said Twilight. "Yeah?" said Star Gazer. "I'm Twilight Sparkle." said Twilight. Star Gazer's eyes widened. "You're Twilight Sparkle?" He said. "I also heard that you defeated Aunt Trixie even when she wore that magic amulet, how did you get her out of town that time?" Twilight, looked worried. "I, I forgave her." said Twilight. "How could you forgive her?" said Star Gazer. "Why would she do something like this to you? It's not your fault she's a big fake." "Well," said Twilight. "How did you get away from her?" "It started when she did a show in Mane-hatten." said Star Gazer. Trixie was now impressing the residents of Mane-hattan with her new magic tricks. And little Star Gazer was backstage, he was watching what his aunt was doing but then accidentall fell out from back stage and crashed into two other colts. "Oh, sorry." said Star Gazer, getting up. The two colts got up, but they weren't looking happy. Star Gazer started to back away, frightened. "Watch where you're going, you idiot!" said the first colt. "And what's that mark you got on your flank?" They looked and saw Star Gazer didn't have a cutie mark. "So, you don't have a cutie mark yet, huh?" said the other colt. "Well, let's make sure he never gets one!" Said the first colt. Star Gazer tried to run away but the colts tackled him and started beating him up. They then finished beating him up and threw him in a puddle of mud. Star Gazer then got up as the colts walked away, laughing. Star Gazer then walked into the wagon where he saw Trixie looking for him. "Hi, Aunt Trixie." said Star Gazer, weakly. Trixie looked at Star Gazer and gasped. "Star Gazer!" She exclaimed. "Well, I was-" said Star Gazer. "You know you're too young to play in the mud!" said Trixie. "Now, go clean yourself up! We need to get going to the next place soon!" Star Gazer looked down sadly but then looked up angrily. "Do you even want to know what actually happened?!" said Star Gazer, angrily. Trixie looked over at her nephew. "Star Gazer, your Auntie Trixie doesn't-" said Trixie. "Your fame is all you care about!" said Star Gazer. "You're never there for me!" "Star Gazer, I-" Trixie started to say. "Just leave me alone!" said Star Gazer as he angrily went into their bathroom and slammed the door. Trixie looked concerned for her nephew, but then shrugged it off, assuming that he'll grow out of it. "I then ran away when Aunt Trixie when she wasn't looking," said Star Gazer. "And I'm never going back to her." Twilight was very worried, now. "Well, don't you think Aunt Trixie might be worried about you?" said Twilight. "I don't see why she would." said Star Gazer. "She never thinks of me." "But I'm pretty sure-" Twilight started to say. "You can't send me back to her!" said Star Gazer. "You're the only pony in my life who has ever shown any concern and love for me! If I go back to Aunt Trixie, she's never going to listen me like she always does!" "Well, you're going to stay with me, at least until I know what do." said Twilight. "Oh, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" said Star Gazer, hugging her. "Now, I'll start breakfast in a little, you can go downstairs a while." said Twilight. "Okay." said Star Gazer, as he went downstairs. As Star Gazer went downstairs, Twilight looked down. She had no idea what she was going to do. She was thinking Trixie was probably crying her eyes out for Star Gazer right this minute. Trixie was concerned right now as she was leaving Mane-hattan. Star Gazer didn't come out of his room since he finished cleaning up. Trixie decided to go check on him. "Star Gazer," said Trixie, going to Star Gazer's door. "Are you feeling okay?" said Trixie. She tapped on the door and noticed it was unlocked. She opened the door and saw a bundle under the blanket of Star Gazer's bed. "Star Gazer, you can't stay under there forever." Trixie said as she pulled the blanket off and noticed Star Gazer wasn't there, but a bunch of pillows were there instead and she saw a note. She picked up and read it. "Dear Aunt Trixie, by the time you read this, I will be gone and far away. Seeing how you're never there for me and focus more on your magic tricks then me, instead of being concerned when I was bullied and thrown in a mud puddle, I decided to leave you to your business. From, Star Gazer." Tears were welling up in Trixie's eyes as she finished reading. "Oh, Star Gazer!" She cried, dramatically. "My darling nephew! What have I done?!" She then got up. "No! I must find my nephew! Don't worry, my little Star Gazer! You're Auntie Trixie is coming!"
