Chapter 4, Part I: A Little Help With My Friend
Back on Earth...
A car was driving down a dark road, driving on the side roads. In the car, was Indy in the car. Mary was sleeping in front, while Mutt was sleeping in the back. Indy was driving the car, even though his wife was against the idea. He however, said otherwise.

Even though he was a pegasus, he thought that he was able to drive. It took a few adjustments just to get him settled and prepared to drive. Hours later, after getting the hang of it and relaxing some more, both Mary and Mutt went to sleep. As he drove, one thought occurred to him, 'Will I ever become normal?'. He looked up for a brief moment, expecting the cosmos to answer. They however didn't.

They soon made it to a house. A house that was several blocks away from the university. A house that held his friend that has been with him, after his father was gone. He was thankful that he called earlier.

Several Hours Ago...
Mary was starting to relax as Indy stopped driving the car erratically. He knew deep down that he needed help from others, besides him and his family. Unfortunately, he needed help from a old friend. A friend he could trust. He thought of Ox, but that wasn't going to be possible. He was heading towards the country side of England, in a boat. He thought of others, but they were probably busy.

He then suddenly had an idea on who to call. He thought it was the perfect choice to bring for help. All he needed to do was to get to a phone.

Indy stopped the car at a nearby Gas station, spotting a nearby phone booth on the side of the building. He placed the car into park, then said, in a whispered tone, "Honey, I'll be right back." He got out of the car, closing it behind him. "I need to make a phone call." he mumbled. Mary, however, didn't hear the last part, for she was asleep.

At A House, Miles Away...
Everything was quiet inside the house, aside from the chirping of crickets from outside. In bed, were two humans. They were asleep in each other's embrace. Everything was ok, or so it seemed.

Suddenly, the telephone rang. The man was startled by this unexpected sound that suddenly seemed to come from out of nowhere. He went over to the phone at his bedside, and picked it up. "Hello, this is Charles Stanforth speaking." he said. There was silence on the phone for a while, before he heard, Charles? Charles, is that you old friend?" Charles sat up as he realized who he was talking to. An old colleague of his, and the Dean of Marshall College.

He then turned on the lamp, and placed on his glasses. "Indy, It's been a while since I've heard from you." "Yeah, sorry I haven't kept in contact with you. Listen, I need your help with a problem I'm dealing with." Charles knew that something was wrong. He could tell by the fear and nervousness in his friend's voice. "Indy, is-is something wrong?" he said. He soon heard silence on the other end, thinking that he either has left the phone unhook, or he was thinking.

"Chuck, I'm coming over. This involves something I discovered long ago that I decided to keep. I thought that the government may try to experiment on something, like the Ark." he said.

Indy shook his head, as he snapped back to reality. He soon arrived at a house with a mailbox that said, "STANFORTH" on the side. He then parked in the driveway, turning off the car. Mary woke up in a tired daze, then noticed that Indy had stopped at a unfamiliar place. "Indy, where are we?" "At a friend's place. I'm here to get answers." he said, getting out of the car. Mary quickly got out of the car and followed Indy. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" she said, following him. Indy stopped trotting towards the house, and turned to his wife.

"Honey, I know what I'm doing... well, mostly doing." he said, as he headed for the front door. He knocked on the door, preparing to greet his friend. Then just as his friend was coming, at the last second, Indy had an idea and hid behind the rocking chair. Mary climbed up onto the porch, just as Charles opened the door. "Ah, Mary. I didn't recognize you." he said, with a smile. She smiled back.

His smile soon faded, and he started to look around for his friend. "You wouldn't happen to have seen Indy around, have you?" he said.

"Over here, but before you see me... know that I didn't, or should I say haven't changed mentally." he said. Charles thought that Indy was some hideous monster, as images flashed in his head. He then shook it off, thinking that his imagination was running away from him again.

"Henry, know that whatever's happened to you, I'll help you in any way you can." Charles said. Indy stepped out from behind the door, surprising him. "Good, because I'l need all the help I can." he said, striking a poise. Charles, for the first time, fell over and fainted.

Charles started to suddenly hear faint voices, and his vision was blurred as he started to wake up. He only saw colors swirl and move. Suddenly, he started to see and hear something. "Charles? Can you hear me Charles?" Indy said, faintly. "Henry? Henry is that you?" he heard himself say. He soon saw a standing over him, a brown pony with big blue eyes. "Please, call me Indy."

"Aah!" he said, popping up from his chair. He then noticed that he wasn't outside on the porch, but instead in his house, sitting in his chair. He then looked over where his friend had landed, surprised that he could recognize his friend.

The creature known as his friend before him was small, brown, and his clothing was on his front legs and his top half of his body. His flank had a picture of a compass and whip, and his tail was messy. Charles then looked at his face, seeing the alien face, yet it looked so familiar. "I-Indy?" he said.

The pony smiled at him, glad to see that his friend was alright. "It's finally good to see you again." he said. All of a sudden, they heard a loud noise, a snore, come from the couch, and turned to see what made the noise.

Lying there on the couch was Mutt, asleep. Charles looked at the sleeping Mutt, then back at Indy. "Yeah, Mary thought it was a good idea to bring Mutt inside, in case they... take him." he said, with a smile. Charles looked at him suspiciously. "Who would want to take your son?" Indy gave him a nervous smile, as he knew that he was going to have to explain everything. "Mary, wake up Mutt. It's time that I told you guys my story."

This was going to be a long story.

A couple of hours later,
and a few notes later...
The three of them sat there, awestruck by what had happened to him. What happened on Earth, and what happened to him in Equestria. The sat there a few minutes more, letting the information sink in. Then finally, Charles spoke, "Well Indy, If I didn't know you, I would think and call you insane, and placed you in a mental institute."

He then got up and went to the kitchen. "However Indy," he added, "I believe you, due to the fact that you have done many impossible things throughout your lifetime." Indy smiled at this. Mary then got up and hugged Indy. "I'm just glad that you're alright Indy." Mary said. Indy hugged back, as they both felt the warmth from their love. "Don't worry Mary. I'll get back to normal... somehow." he said. He then shivered as he was being watched.

"Indy, what's wrong?" "It feels like... there's something bigger to... these events that are following us." he said. He then shivered again.

Meanwhile, in-between verses, a inter-dimensional reality warper named The Character sneezed.

Back on Indy's reality, he shook off this feeling, then went to help his friend. Mutt went back to sleep on the couch. Charlie then left the kitchen, then went to his library. "While the coffee's making, I remember finding some information on your medallion Indy. It was on a book somewhere." he said. He checked several places on the shelf, but couldn't find the book he was looking for. "What are you exactly looking for?" Indy said to Charlie.

"I'm looking for the book that had the information on your medallion. The title of the book is called, "The Guidebook's Odd and Strange Myths"." Indy looked around on the shelf, then somehow saw a glow from the top shelf. On the very top of the shelf was a white book, with black lettering on the spine. On it's spine read:

The Guidebook's Odd and Strange Myths:
From Legendary Places, to Artifacts of Unknown.

Indy then grabbed the pants leg of his friend and pointed towards the top shelf. Charles adjusted his glasses, then looked up to see the book he was looking for. "Thank you Indy, I'll get it myself." he said. Charles soon started to climb up the latter, going higher and higher. "You need some help Charlie?" Indy said. "No thanks Indy. I don't think this ladder can handle your body type." he joked. Indy scowled at this.

Charles reached for the book, pulling the book off the shelf. He suddenly started to lean over too far. Charles soon started to fall off the ladder. He thought that he was going to be hurt, when he was suddenly was caught by something.

He opened both eyes, and looked down to see him looking down slowly. He then looked up to see his friend, flying him down. Indy soon placed his friend down, on his friend, then flew in front him. "Who said that I needed a ladder?" he said with a smirk. He then landed in front of his friend, to which his friend stood there in awe.

Ten seconds later, for the second time today, he fell over and fainted.
