Chapter 4 Day 2
The next Morning we finds Rarity asleep at her writing desk she didn’t just finish Twilights dress design but make one for all the other princess. A fairy pony flies into the room and look at the drawing of the dresses. When Sweetie Belle woke up and bounced out of bed and asked the fairy “What are you doing? Rarity doesn’t like any pony looking at her dresses until they are done.”
Rarity woke not too happy with her noisy sister. ”Sweetie Belle!! Can’t you Wake up more quietly.”
The Fairy pony smiled. “Sweetie belle, would you help me get some Flowers for this room. I find it much more enjoyable to create art then the room have Beautiful thing in it,” Then turning to Rarity “And it is art that you’re making here.”
Rarity looks at this fairy pony, “Thank you and you are?”
The fairy laughed, “Oh sorry, I am Rosebud we met yesterday. I heard you are making a dress for the new princess and I had to see what you’re making. I knocked but no one answered. I couldn’t help myself; I had to see the new princess’s dress. But I saw and I will be off. Sweetie belle let’s get some flowers for this room. I have a wonderful idea. Why don’t we get her breakfast from the kitchen too so she doesn’t have to stop working. I know when I start a project I don’t want to stop till it is done.”
With that they left the room, and Rarity just went back to work.
Sweetie Belle and Rosebud walked down the hallway Sweetie Belle Happily listened to Rosebud talk about the flowers that have to be picked and where to put them in the room. As they went down the hall they came cross Medley coming out of the Library. As she closes the door she said “could you keep quiet the princess had a late night studying.”
“I bet Forget-me-not had something to do with this,” Rosebud said in a knowing tone.
Sweetie Belle laughed “Well Twilight loves books, so I don’t think she mind it at all.”
Medley smiled “I know both of them enjoyed it greatly.”
Rosebud sighed “if that is the case it is alright, I guess.”
“I know then they leave both Forget-me-not and Honeysuckle will be lonely.” Medley said with a frown.
Rosebud said “This isn’t the time to think about that. We have a job to do and we have to do it. It isn’t like we couldn’t visit them.”
At that Sweetie Belle start to bounce with joy, “Yes, you have to visit; I will show you around and introduce you to all my friends. It will be soooo great.”
Medley smiles “Did you have a fun night with your sister?”
Sweetie Belle looked down and said “No, I had to do my Homework from School. And I fall asleep before I was done.”
Both Rosebud and Medley laughed. Then Rosebud said “Sweetie belle if we don’t hurry you sister wouldn’t have flowers in her room!!! And she might get hungry. “
“It would be much easier if you use this saddle bag to put the Flowers in.” Medley held up a new saddle bag. Then she put it on Sweetie Belle.
Sweetie Belle smiled and said “thank you, it is a Beautiful bag. Is it yours?”
“No I made it for you last night. I heard you like to sing. Maybe we can sing together sometime. I also enjoy music as you can see from my cutie mark” said Medley.
Sweetie Belle looked at her Cutie mark which is a bar of notes. Sweetie belle smiled “thanks for the bag and I would love to sing with you sometime.”
Rosebud thinks to herself “so medley found a pony that is worth teaching. Medley has been looking for a student for some time. Is sweetie belle that good at singing?”
While they were talking Nyx walk up. “Sweetie belle so you got a new saddle bag?”
“Hi Nyx, yes I got a new saddle bag. I don’t know why you complain about castle life. I am having soooooo much fun staying here.” Sweetie Belle said.
Nyx face turned sour “This place is nothing like the Castle of nightmare moon. The cooks here don’t over design the food. I am not force to bring night eternal. And my mom isn’t imprisoned.”
Medley is confused “why were you in the Castle of Nightmare Moon?”
Sweetie Belle said “Well she is Nightmare Moon, kind of.”
“Isn’t Luna Nightmare moon?” Medley asked a bit confused.
Nyx said “yes and so am I.”
“How can you and Luna be nightmare moon?” Medley asked
Twilight open the library door and said “come in here and I will tell you.”
“Sweetie Belle, we should get going,” Rosebud said. With that Rosebud and Sweetie Belle went down the hallway. They went to the main floor and out the door. Then they watched all the ponies working to repair the city. Pegasus used Wing power to blow the dirt down the street, and Unicorns using magic to repair door and windows. Fairy Ponies planted and grew flowers.
As they watch the activities a large Pegasus sneaked up behind them and said. “Hi little Unicorn and Nyx, how are you today”
Sweetie belle jumped and Nyx gave him an evil stare at the pony.
“You shouldn’t scare a little ponies like that you should be ashamed of yourself.” Rosebud said.
At that he backed away and bowed his head “I am sorry Little ponies.”
Then Rainbow Dash flew down and said “Yes, you should be ashamed.”
Then Lightning hooves looked at Rainbow Dash and said “Don’t you have work to do?”
Rainbow Dash went back to work.
Rosebud smiled “So you find a new play thing, is firefly getting boring.”
Lightning hooves laughed, “No, it is Just this Rainbow Dash reminds me of a young Firefly. And it is fun to throw my weight around with her. That Fluttershy I don’t get her at all. It is like she sees me as a cute little animal.”
Nyx let out a little laugh. Knowing what is behind Fluttershy actions.
“Well Sweetie belle and I need to get flowers so we will talk later. Come on Sweetie belle,” Rosebud said.
“I will stay here Sweetie Belle. I have some things to talk to Firefly about.” Nyx said.
Sweetie Belle waved goodbye. Rosebud flew off and Sweetie Belle followed. then Rosebud Said, “That is King Lightning Hooves, he like to throw my weight around with Pegasus with Spirit. I find it funny myself.”
After some time they reached a large Flower field and Rosebud told Sweetie belle what Flowers to pick.
As they were about done Apple bloom walked up “what’s ya doin.”
Sweetie belle smiled and said “Apple bloom, we are picking flowers for Rarity, and when we are done we will have breakfast with Rarity. How about you?”
“I’m lookin for Applejack, have you seen her.” Apple Bloom asked.
Rosebud answered, “I think she is in the Town Center.”
With that Apple Bloom ran off.
Sweetie belle looked at Rosebud and asked “you know Applejack”
Rosebud smiled and said, “Yes, I met her when she came to our village.” she Looked at the flowers. “Well I think this will do, time to get breakfast.”
They made their way to the castle and into the kitchen. When they got there all the maids in the kitchen fell in love with Sweetie Belle. “What a little cutie. Are you the one Medley made the saddle bag for?” Nurse’s Corner asked.
“Yes, here is the saddle bag, isn’t it beautiful,” Sweetie belle answered.
Dusty said, “Would you do a little turn to show us it.”
“Yes, would you please,” said Spic and Span
Sweetie belle thought with such a beautiful Saddle bag, a plain old turn wouldn’t do. So she did a little dance to show off the saddle bag. The maids laugh.
Dusty laugh “You are so cute, and that dance was cute also.”
“Come on ladies. We have lunch to make,” the Chef said
Sweetie Belle looks confused, “Didn’t you just made breakfast, why are you making lunch.”
Chef laughed, “We are making lunch for all the ponies working outside and that take time. Why don’t you go eat your breakfast? We have work to do.”
As Sweetie Belle pushes the food cart down the hall Medley walk up and said “Rarity is in the sewing room.”
Rosebud said, “Thank you Medley.”
They went to the sewing room. When they walk in the room it was like all the fabric in the room jumped from the shelves and landed everywhere. As they looking for a place to eat some unicorn maids walk in levitating a table and a Table cloth. One of the Unicorn Maids said “we will be done in a second.” The maids put down the table and put the Tablecloth on. Then they place the plates of food on the table and leave.
Rosebud laughed “I see Medley is on top of everything as always. Rarity, are you hungry?”
Rarity put down what she was working with “I am famished dear. What are we having?”
“Blueberry muffins, eggs sunny side up, hay bacon, pancakes and orange juice.” Sweetie belle said.
“I take it that it was Sweetie belle that ordered that meal.” Rarity said in a knowing tone.
Rosebud laughed “didn’t you say you were Famished?”
Rarity smiled “you got me there, Princess Rosebud. I am sorry I didn’t remember who you were this morning.”
“Just rosebud please, I don’t think the title of Princess fits me. Most of the time I am working in my garden with dirt smeared on my face and hands.”
Sweetie Belle took off her saddlebag and remembered it “Rarity, Medley gave me this new Saddle bag isn’t it nice.” Sweetie Belle beamed
“That is good your old one was getting worn out.” Rarity said approvingly
“So how are the dresses coming?” Rosebud asked
“I will be done soon.” Rarity smiled. Rarity took a bit of food. “I have to get this recipe. It is to die for!”
“The chef here was the best in Canterlot at one time,” Rosebud said
“I can see why. This is wonderful. But I should get back to work,” Rarity said
They finish eating then Sweetie Belle ran off to see what Apple Bloom, Nyx, and Scootaloo was up to.
Rosebud put vases of flowers everywhere and asked “Isn’t this better?”
Rarity looks around and answered “It is really nice thank you.”
Rosebud smiled and said, “I should go help the other Fairy ponies. I look forward to seeing the dresses done. Bye for now” and with that she left.
Rarity thought to herself “I was born for this Castle life.” Then she went back to work.
Sweetie belle ran into Nyx in the hallway “Nyx, there you are, what are you doing.”
“I am Luna’s and Celestia’s aid today. I am running to get something Called Heavenly Angel cake for Luna. She said something about having tea with the other princesses.” Nyx related.
“Nyx the princess is helping the other princesses.” Sweetie Belle teased.
Nyx looked unhappy “I am not a princess, well I am but I am not. Does that make sense?”
Sweetie Belle shook her head.”No, but I understand. Rarity explained it to me. You are a princess in that you are a female of the royal family. But you are not a crown princess meaning you can’t rule.”
“That doesn’t matter I have to run to the kitchen to get the cake. Bye Sweetie Belle.”
“Bye Nyx.” Sweetie Belle Said as she walk down the hall to the door.
As Sweetie belle walked out the door of the castle could see Scootaloo yelling at Lightning Hooves. They were nose to nose “I told you I can’t fly”
Lightning hooves raise his head a little bit. Scootaloo keep her nose against his.
“Then why do you have wings?” Lightning hooves asked
Lightning hooves raise his head a little bit. Scootaloo keep her nose against his.
“Because I was born with them!” Scootaloo yelled.

“I think you are faking it to get out of work,” Lightning hooves said

“I wish I could fly because it is embarrassing to be a Pegasus that can’t fly!” yelled Scootaloo.
Lightning hooves raise his head a little bit. Scootaloo keep her nose against his.
“If you can’t fly what you are doing now?” Lightning hooves asked
Lightning hooves doesn’t raise his head anymore because he is standing at his full height.
“I am arguing with you!” Yelled Scootaloo.
Sweetie belle bounces over and said “Scootaloo you’re flying. That is sooooooo Wonderful!”
Scootaloo looked at Sweetie belle and said “We both know I can’t fly.” Then she looks around and said “I am flying! How can this be?”
Sweetie Belle said “I think it is because you have wings.”
Scootaloo yelled “I know I have wings, I just didn’t know I can fly with these small wings!”
Sweetie Belle looked confused and said “What about Snowflake, his wings are the same sizes as yours, and he is much bigger.”
Scootaloo said “We don’t talk about that.”
Lightning Hooves smiled as he flew away.
Sweetie Belle said, “We have to show Apple Bloom that you can fly now.”
“Totally!!” Scootaloo said.
Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo dashed off to find Apple Bloom to show her. They found Apple Bloom carrying seeds for the Fairy ponies. Sweetie Belle ran up and said “Guess what, this is soooo great.”
“Did you get your Cutie mark?” Apple Bloom asked excitedly
Sweetie Belle looked down and said “NO” then looked up and said “but it is great still the same, Scootaloo can fly now.”
Apple Bloom looked up to saw Scootaloo flying around and yelled “I AM HAPPY FOR YOU SCOOTALOO.” Then she looked at Sweetie belle she said, “There is a lot of work to get done here. So why don’t you and Scootaloo help out too? I am sure you can find ponies to help.”
Then Sweetie Belle saw Twilight with Firefly. Sweetie Belle thought I will help Twilight. She ran over to Twilight and asked “Twilight is there anything I can help you with? Every pony is busy and I want to help like apple Bloom.”
Twilight thought “I don’t know of anything you can help with, will you wait a second I will find something for you to do.”
Then Rainbow Dash showed up and report “Twilight all the streets are clean on the Southeast side. Could you send some Earth ponies to pick up the dirt piles?”
When Scootaloo flew down and showed Rainbow Dash that she can fly now. “Rainbow Dash look I can fly now.” Scootaloo beamed.
Rainbow dash give a thumb up with her wind “That is awesome, what happen to make you fly.”
Scootaloo sat down and draw circles in the dirt. “I don’t want to talk about it”
Sweetie belle bounced over and said, “Well she was fighting with lightning hooves about the fact she couldn’t fly and he trick her into flying.”
“Sweetie belle I said I didn’t want to talk about it.” Scootaloo scolded.
Sweetie Belle smile and said “Scootaloo, you didn’t talk about it I did. Silly!”
Twilight asked “So Scootaloo, Lightning Hooves helped you. Did you thank him?”
Scootaloo face turned sour. “No, because I don’t like him.”
Rainbow dash put her wing over Scootaloo and said “You and I both kid.”
Firefly fell to the ground laughing. She knows far too well how they feel. When she stops laughing she told them, “He must really like you two. He only torments the Pegasus he likes a lot. But there is Fluttershy, I guess she is special.”
Rainbow Dash smiled “You can say she is special, Twilight to you remember the manticore.”
Twilight nodded “Yes and how she stared down that Dragon.”
“She also stared down the Cockatrice in the Everfree forest.” Sweetie Belle added.
Firefly said “you wouldn’t know by looking at her.”
Then Fluttershy walked up and told Twilight “Twilight all the cute little animals are safely out of the city and in their new homes. And they are so happy that this city will be in use again. They said it was lonely. Oh Lightning Hooves is pulling Pegasus off cleaning duty and put them on Dirty removal.”
“Thank you Fluttershy.” Twilight said.
The whole time Firefly was looked at Fluttershy and trying to see if what they said is true. Fluttershy didn’t like the way Firefly looked at her and flew away.
“At this rate we will have this city clean and ready to live in today.” Firefly remarked.
“You know Twilight there are some ponies that would like to stay and live here.” Rainbow Dash said.
Twilight laughed, “And Rarity is one of them. I went to see her before coming out here; she simply love being in a city that will be as grand as Canterlot. But I don’t blame any pony for wanting to stay because when we are able to go home there wouldn’t be any home to go back to.”
Then Celestia flew up and landed next to Twilight. Celestia said “That doesn’t matter now. We need to finish this.”
“You’re right, and either way we need to finish this.” Twilight said.
Shooting star walked up “Celestia Let me, Twilight, and shining Armor take care of things here. Why don’t you, Luna, and Cadence go back to your capitals and take care of the matters of your kingdoms”
Celestia look depressed and said, “I understand. I will go to find Luna and Cadence.” Then she went to find Luna and Cadence.
Twilight looked at Shooting Star and said, “She didn’t look like she wanted to go.”
Shooting star nodded and said “Of course she didn’t want to go, this is fun for her. She likes to be in the Middle of the action, it remind her of how it was when we were rebuilding Equestria after discord. But now she needed to go back to being the princess of Canterlot and the leader of her ponies. She knew it but didn’t want to face it. And I know Cadence or Luna wouldn’t tell her. Look in this magic mirror. See Cadence have muddy hooves and is putting mud on Shining Armor, and here is Luna playing at the school with the children, do you think they would be allowed to act like this in their kingdoms.
Rainbow dash said, “Then they shouldn’t have to go.”
Twilight looked sad and said, “Yes they do, they have ponies that rely on them back in their kingdoms.”
Shooting star trying to change the subject said “Rainbow Dash do you have room on your team for the new flying Scootaloo? Sweetie Belle you're with me I have little jobs that are perfect for you.”
Rainbow dash looked over to Scootaloo and asked “You want to join my team.”
Scootaloo smiled and said “YES!” she tried to act cool “I mean if you don’t mind.”
Rainbow Dash looked at Firefly and said “Tomorrow let’s have a race to see who is faster.”
Firefly smiled and said “you’re on.”
Shooting Star smiled and Said to Firefly and Rainbow Dash “If you don’t want to be put on dirt Removal duty find something else for your teams to do.” With that they raced off.
“Sweetie Belle your job is to wear this sable bag so I can keep my papers sorted and do odd jobs.” Shooting star said.
“Wouldn’t she get bored?” Twilight asked.
Shooting Star smiled and said “No, she is going be my aid pony. When I need something I will have her get it for me. If a need to have something delivered she will do it.”
“Can’t you do it yourself?” Twilight asked.
Shooting Star looked around. “Isn’t it great how well everything is going? I didn’t think it would go this well.”
“Yes it is going well.” Twilight said slightly agitated at the fact he didn’t answer her question.
Shooting star said, “Well Sweetie Belle would you rather help me or go to school with all the other young ponies?”
“I would rather help you.” Sweetie Belle said.
“Sweetie Belle, learning is an adventure.” Twilight said.
Both Sweetie Belle and Shooting star give Twilight the “you are kidding me right” look. “Well Sweetie Belle let’s check up on the southeast side of town.”
“Good idea.” Sweetie belle said and they left to check out the south east part.
Sometime later at the Everfree Castle Celestia was getting ready to leave.
“Are you sure you can handle this on your own? I can stay and help,” Celestia said hoping they would give you a reason to stay.
“We can handle it from here. You were a great help thanks. But you have been gone for two days, and your work must be piling up. I am glad I am not you,” Shooting Star said
Celestia smile “I am sure Luna can handle it.”
Luna stepped in front of Celestia and said, “No you don’t sister. I love you, but I am not doing that alone.”
“Ok, Luna. Shooting star, this is what always happen when I am around you. Fighting King Sombra was all your idea.” Celestia said.
Shooting star smiled “Yes it was. But didn’t you want to save those poor ponies.”
Celestia smiled “Yes I wanted to save them. But then you are around I do things I wouldn’t do otherwise. Like the race through dead hove canyon.”
Shoot star laughed “yeah, Luna and firefly did save our hindquarters that day.”
Luna, Celestia, and Shooting Star laughed.
Shooting Star said “Well we waste enough time. We have to finish here and you have work to do. It must be tuft being the oldest.”
Celestia smiled “Ok we would be going as soon as Cadence is done said good bye.”
“My Shining Armor, I will miss you so much.” Cadence start to cry.
Shining armor hug Cadence “Cadence, I will see you tomorrow morning. So be my strong princess until them.
Cadence wiped the tears from her eyes. “I will try my handsome Prince.
Everyone else in the room and tried not to laugh at this scene.
“Bye, my sweet handsome prince.” Cadence said with a brave face and tears in her eyes.
Then they open a portal and left.
“My Sweet handsome Shining Armor I will miss you so much.” Twilight said in her best Cadence voice
Shining Armor laughed and said “You are just jealous that you don’t have someone like that.”
Shooting star put his hove around Twilight and said “Are you so sure.”
Shining Armor face went sad and he curls up in a ball and said. “My little Twilly is gone. My little Twilly is gone.
They both look at Shining armor
“We should get back to work shouldn’t we?” Shooting Star asked.
Twilight answered “You are right. What is next in the list?”
Shining armor look stunned “Twilly aren’t you going to comfort me.”
“No, you are just overreacting over nothing. Shooting star and I have only known each other for two days. How could we be anything but friends right now?” Twilight stated.
“What about later?” Shining Armor asked.
Twilight looked at shooting Star and smiled. “We should get back to work, shouldn’t we?” Twilight said ignoring her brother.
Shining armor cried “Twilly!!!!”
Then Twilight and Shooting Star walked off and got back to work. And the rest of the day they got the City cleaned and ready to live in. Sweetie belle loved being useful and was running all over the city meeting new ponies and getting snacks from the kitchen. And before the sun went down everything was finished in the Everfree.
