//------------------------------// // Reunion - Chapter 36 // Story: Diary of the Night // by CalebH //------------------------------// Damn this blasted sun and its infernal brightness! I wish only to recover from the night’s revelry in peace and quiet yet I cannot even open mine eyes without it driving molten rays into them with dazzling vengeance. Celestia knows this, mind you, and she takes untold delight in torturing me through the after effects of drinking spirits. No doubt it was her who removed my curtains so that I would have to suffer the suns wrath. I must be a strange sight indeed hiding beneath a crude tent of blankets and sheets but I do what I must. Beside me is the expense report for last night’s festivities. Apparently the castle cellars only had a few casks of mead and ale but ‘beer’ and ‘whisky’ seem to have been more than suitable replacements given the amount consumed. It was not an especially destructive feast with just under half of the furniture used being damaged. I am also to pay for replacing a chandelier and a…cello? Oh yes the cello! One of the few memories I retain of last night. It took a few magical modifications but it made an excellent drinking horn. Note for the next feast I host: musical entertainment may be an issue. -L
