The reporter said as those who tried to stop Lelouch were driven through the street in a parade like fashion.

All hail Lelouch!” The reporter finished as the Public Display of Lelouch's power continued as the crowd watched silently.
A sudden gasp went threw the crowd as a figure appeared on the road causing the The entire ceremony to stop. The figure wore a cape wrapping around it's body, but one could see the trademark purple tuxedo near it's neck region and it's legs near the bottom. On it's head was a black mask. The top was spiked like a crown and there was a blue circle where the face was. Everyone in the world knew who the figure was and his name went through the crowd like wind. "Zero"

That's Him? but Lelouch is over There." Kallen said said while Lelouch wore a fake expression of pure shock.
"Was that it? was that what Lelouch and Suzaku had to do?'' Kallen asked out loud to no one in particular.
Zero rushed forward without hesitation dodging the bullets from the Knightmare frames. Jeremiah ordered them to cease fire while he "Took care of this interloper." Zero jumped over Jeremiah while knocking him to the ground.He then jumped over the chained Schniezel and over Nunally right up to lelouch.
"Impudent Fool!" Lelouch said while drawing his own gun, but it was quickly knocked out of his hand by the sword Zero drew from his side. Lelouch had a small smirk as the sword was positioned to kill him.He knew who was underneath the mask. Suzaku his best friend. It was all planned. Suzaku had survived his fight with Kallen, and he now wore the mask of Zero for the purpose of killing Lelouch this very moment. Lelouch had become the most hated being in the world, and with his death humanity would move forward into the future. That was their plan. The plan titled The Zero Requiem .
"Suzaku you’re going to become a hero now. A messiah who saved the world from Emperor Lelouch vi Britannia. The enemy of the world. As Zero." Lelouch thought before the sword was thrust into him. The entire world seemed to go quiet as Lelouch felt the sword go straight through his midsection. The feeling was beyond pain, his body seemed to go numb after a few seconds.
"L...Lelouch." Suzaku in the Zero suit said, the only words he could manage to say after what he had just done.
"The punishment for what you've done shall be this then..." Lelouch said as his body began to crumple into his friend raising his bloodied hand to rest on Suzaku's masked face. " You will live on always wearing that mask serving as a Knight for Justice and truth. You will sacrifice the ordinary pleasures of your life for the benefit of the world. For Eternity"
"This Geass I do accept" Suzaku said accepting his new role even if it was one that condemned him forever to a life of solitude. The new Zero pulled his sword out of Lelouch's chest. lelouch removed his hand leaving a bloodstain on the Zero mask. A blood seal on the deal they made. The blade fully removed from him and zero stepped aside. Lelouch stood there for a second that seemed like Eternity before taking a few steps forward and fell off the podium that once was symbol for his power . As he slid down he left a trail of his blood until he stopped at the base of the float. Lying there in a pool of his own blood he lay next to a young girl. A girl just entering her teen years yet she already knew of the horrors of the world from her experiences. her hair flowed into beautiful golden locks that made scissors ashamed of themselves. Her eyes were sapphire and they looked at him with shock, concern and Love. Nunally, Lelouch's little sister and the center of his universe.
"Lelouch are you...? Nunally said not believing what she was looking at. She leaned closer to look at him as he lay there. She touched his hand and something very strange happened. She saw some of Lelouch's memories she saw Lelouch, Suzaku, and C.C. at C's world and saw the plan they had unfolded. How Suzaku was the one under the Zero suit and Lelouch had planned his own death and the purpose behind it. Including Lelouch's plans for her.
Nunally couldn't believe what she had just learned. "You mean...everything you've done until now?" she grabbed Lelouch's hand in both of hers and brought it up to her face as tears were already falling. "Oh Big brother I love You." she said.
"Yes ...I... I destroyed the world...and created..." Lelouch said weakly as his entire life flashed before him "A new....." Lelouch said as his eyes closed for the last time. He didn't know why he heard it, but he was okay with it. As for the rest of him his whole body was numb, he couldn't talk, and he couldn't open his eyes.
"You can’t Leave me! "Nunally shouted grabbing onto Lelouch's body begging him to stay alive. "Please open your eyes big brother! please! she said holding Lelouch close. Everyone else stared, not knowing what had occurred between the two siblings. They simply knew the man who once controlled the world was dead. "big brother!!" Nunally cried trying to wake him. Zero stood atop the Float and simply swept his sword to the right shaking of some of the dead Emperor's blood from the blade.
"Lelouch the Demon is dead! Free his prisoners!" Princess Cornelia called as a group of people rushed out of the building they were hiding in. There was a sudden yell from the crowd as people rushed forward to attack the soldiers of Lelouch. Invigorated by Zero They captured or ran the soldiers off. getting the freedom they wanted.
Jeremiah made a call to the other officers "This isn't good." he murmured to himself "Everyone retreat!" he ordered the assembly as the soldiers ran away.
"Is That who I think it is?" Ohgi said looking to Zero, as he knew only one person who could perform moves like that since he had only taught those similar moves to one person.
''It's Zero" Kallen said "It's him. It's Zero. Tears formed in her eyes.
"It’s unfair. All I wanted and needed to be happy was to be with you." Nunally cried as she gazed at her dying brother. "How could I ever look forward to the future without you?" she said as she cried into Lelouch's chest.
"Zero! Zero! Zero!”
The crowd chanted the name of their savior over and over. So overjoyed to be free of the evil emperor they completely drowned out the cries of a young girl mourning her older brother. As for Lelouch, the chanting of the crowd and even Nunally’s cries became distant until he couldn't hear anything. His body soon felt weightless and Lelouch simply let his mind sink into complete Darkness

''Ughh..." Lelouch said regaining consciousness. He could feel his body again, but something wasn't right. everything felt....different, not in a good way, but not in a bad way either. Lelouch couldn't put his finger on it, but things certainly weren't the same as before. He tried opening his eyes to investigate, but was assaulted by a barrage of bright colors.
"Oh dear Lord what fresh Hell is this?" Lelouch asked no one in particular while wincing in pain. He forced his eyes open and painfully adjusted to the new colors. He seemed to be in some sort of jungle mixed with a forest. He also realized he was in a pond and soaked. He tried standing up three times but fell each try. "What the heck's wrong with me?" Lelouch asked out loud. He look at his right arm and what he saw nearly gave him a heart attack. Instead of his normal appendages he saw a long purple rectangle that bended like an arm. He had a similar one on his left side as well. He used both of his new (arms?) to drag himself out of the pond and onto the grass. He then spun himself 180 degrees and looked at the pond. The water was so clear that you could see your reflection. Lelouch would be amazed at how clean it was if he wasn't busy looking at his reflection.
Lelouch had experienced many crazy things in his life that would drive normal people to Insanity. He saw his mother gruesomely die at a young age, get banished by his father to another country and said country was at war with his own, and he one time had to literally walk through a field of dead bodies, he killed his half brother, caused a massacre, killed his half sister who was the first girl he ever loved, watched a close friend who loved him die bleeding in his arms, accidently cause a city to be nuked and think for a while his little sister was dead and it was his fault, find out his mother was still alive and kill both his parents, save the world, take it over, and die at the hands of his best friend, those memories were soul-crushing, but at least he could rationalize and understand them. What he looked at now, completely failed description.
The creature he saw was...."different" than the animals he'd seen in his life. To say it looked like a horse would be a compliment. It was cartoonish looking and only shared some qualities of a horse, it was almost eerie. The creature had dark purple fur across it's body covering it entirely. It's mane was pure black and seemed to layer on itself.
The thing that stood out most was it's eyes which were large and nearly took up two thirds of it's head. The eyes were bright purple and shined with intelligence. Lelouch blinked and the creature in the reflection did as well. He moved his head to the left and the reflection copied him perfectly. Lelouch's eyes widened in shock and the Horse-like creature did as well. He now realized what he was seeing.
The Equine creature he saw in the reflection was himself.
