It was a sunny day in Ponyville. Diamond Tiara impatiently trotted around the living room in her mansion.
“What’s taking you so long, Penny Worth?” Diamond Tiara demanded. “I want to try that new drink.”
A white unicorn stallion, brandishing a cutie mark of bits, entered the room. He had a cup with an azure liquid in it. The cup was next to an equally blue bottle with Flim and Flam’s Blue Wonder Juice on the label. “Terribly sorry, milady.” He levitated the cup next to Diamond Tiara and placed a straw in it, then left the room with the bottle.
Diamond Tiara used the straw. She felt bored since her father had to leave on a business trip to Manehatten. Silver Spoon was visiting her family in Los Pegasus as well, and she would not be back until tomorrow.
She finished her drink. “Penny Worth!”
Penny Worth entered the room again. “Yes, milady?”
“This juice is bitter,” Diamond Tiara said.
Penny Worth rolled his yellow eyes. “Are you sure it’s the juice?” He had worked for Filthy Rich for the past 20 years, and he still could not stand that brat of a daughter, Diamond Tiara.
“Just fix it!”
“I’ll see what I can do.” Penny Worth took the cup and entered the kitchen. He took out some sugar and poured more of the juice into the cup as well as an additional spoonful of sugar. He took the sweetened drink to Diamond Tiara. “Better?”
Diamond Tiara took the drink and went to her room. She felt a little drowsy. She decided to go to sleep early.
“Oh, Celestia,” the white unicorn said. “Why have you forsaken me to endure this brat?” He sighed. “Maybe I shouldn’t have quit ballet school.”
The next day, Diamond Tiara woke up and noticed that something felt different. She looked around and saw that she could barely fit on her bed. “Penny Worth!”
Penny Worth entered Diamond Tiara’s bedroom. “Yes, mil--” He bowed his head, as usual, to meet Diamond Tiara's gaze, but instead found himself staring at her legs. Raising his head, he found her eyes at his eye level.
Diamond Tiara was stunned. “What happened?”
“I must have hibernated for a few years, it seems,” Penny Worth said. He noticed that although she was the same height as him, her body still had the proportions of a filly. He looked at her silver and diamond tiara and saw that it had grown as well, retaining its relative size to its wearer.
Diamond Tiara wasn’t amused. She heard a doorbell ring.
Penny Worth went off to answer the door. He saw a certain grey filly here.
“Hello, sir,” Silver Spoon said. “Is Diamond Tiara here?”
“Hello, Silver spoon. please come in, but I must warn you, the mistress is feeling a little... ‘bloated’ today,” Penny Worth said. “I’ll take you to her.”
Silver Spoon followed Penny Worth to Diamond Tiara.
Meanwhile, Diamond Tiara was putting all her jewelry inside her saddle bags. She thought about how jealous the other fillies would be of her jewelry. Silver Spoon and Penny Worth entered the bedroom. Silver Spoon was surprised to see that her friend had grown to the same size as Penny Worth.
Diamond Tiara said, “Hey Silver, how was Los Pegasus?”
“Diamond Tiara?” Silver Spoon said. “What happened?”
“Nothing,” Diamond Tiara said. “Let’s go, Silver Spoon.” She left her bedroom. Silver Spoon saw that Diamond Tiara was putting more gems inside her small saddle bags.
Diamond Tiara got a second saddle bag and placed more of her jewelry inside it. Soon, she and Silver Spoon went outside.
Silver Spoon saw that Diamond Tiara had grown a few inches in the last few minutes. ‘Maybe she will stop growing in a few hours,’ she hoped.
A few hours later, at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack and Apple Bloom were running away from somepony. Applejack ran into one of the barns.
Apple Bloom tripped on an apple. She looked back and saw a giant pink pony slowly trotting towards her. The giant looked at her with piercing cerulean eyes. Apple Bloom saw that the giantess had a large tiara on her head, and that she used two of the barns as saddlebags.
“Well, if it isn’t Apple Bloom,” Diamond Tiara said. “Smaller than ever, I see.” She was about to step on her.
Apple Bloom gulped.
Applejack took a rope and threw it at her sister. She then yanked the yellow filly out of Diamond Tiara’s path and into the barn.
Apple Bloom saw that she, her sister, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Babs Seed and Rarity were inside the barn.
The six ponies looked outside and saw a titanic Diamond Tiara uprooting the trees and placing them in her “bags”.
“What in Equestria is going on here?” Rarity said.
The fillies shrugged.
Applejack said, “We should skedaddle before she sees us.”
The six little ponies snuck out of the farm and into town.
Applejack, Rarity and the Cutie Mark Crusaders ran into the Golden Oaks Library. There, Equestria’s newest princess, Twilight Sparkle, was organizing some books. She looked back and saw her visitors. “Oh hey everypony, what’s up?”
“Diamond Tiara...” Apple Bloom panted. “Huge Diamond Tiara.”
“Stepped on... Apple Bloom,” Sweetie Belle panted.
“She took apple trees...” Scootaloo was catching her breath. “And the barns.”
“She was huge,” Babs Seed said.
Twilight rose an eyebrow at the breathless bunch. “Um, what?”
Applejack said, “A giant pony was in Sweet Apple Acres. She took the trees and two of the barns.”
Rarity said, “What would she want with those barns, anyway?”
The seven ponies heard large thumps and panicking, perplexed ponies in the small streets outside.
The noise woke Spike up. His purple face and green eyes looked tired. He looked out of the window and saw several ponies running for their lives. He made out a silhouette of a rather large pony in the distance. He went downstairs and ran to Twilight as fast as his legs could take him.
“Twilight!” Spike said.
Twilight said, “What is it, Spike?”
“There’s a ponyzilla rampaging around Ponyville!” Spike said.
“That’s gotta be her!” Apple Bloom said.
They went outside the library and saw Diamond Tiara. The filly, who has now grown ever larger, was lifting a jewelry store and placing the contents inside her barns-turned-bags. Several ponies fled the store in fear.
Nearby, Roseluck, Lilly and Daisy looked at the carnage from their flower shops.
“The horror! The horror!” Lily fainted.
The other two took Lily inside one of the shops and locked their doors.
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash went in front of the library.
Rainbow Dash said, ‘What’s going on here?”
Scootaloo said, “Giant Diamond Tiara.”
“A giant diamond tiara?” Pinkie Pie bounced out of nowhere. “Where?”
Babs Seed said, “There.” and pointed to the town.
Pinkie Pie saw Diamond Tiara lifting the flower shop and the three ponies inside.
“Aw, somepony already got it,” Pinkie Pie said.
“What would you need a giant tiara for, anyway?” Applejack said.
“For giant tiara emergencies, silly,” Pinkie said.
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. “Come on, everypony.” Rainbow Dash flew towards Diamond Tiara and circled around her. She saw that the giant filly’s irises were narrow and reptilian.
“Hey, ugly.” Rainbow Dash kicked Diamond Tiara in the snout.
Diamond Tiara just snorted. Smoke came out of her nostrils as she narrowed her reptilian eyes on Rainbow Dash. She breathed fire at Rainbow Dash.
The flames hit Rainbow Dash square in the back, igniting her fur and tail. “Ouch, ow, e-ouch, oh, ah! That’s hot!” She turned red with embarrassment as she dived for a nearby bucket of water. The others went to her and saw that she was alright, although her cyan coat and rainbow tail were a little singed.
“Are you okay?” Fluttershy said
“Just peachy,” Rainbow Dash said. “Now why did that pony suddenly breathe fire at me?”
The Cutie Mark Crusaders and Applejack explained the identity of the giant pony terrifying the town.
“The fire breath was unusual,” Applejack concluded.
“This whole thing is unusual,” Sweetie Belle said.
Twilight Sparkle saw Diamond Tiara grow some more. Diamond Tiara roared and galloped away with her hoard.
Twilight Sparkle said, “Wait a minute. Growth spurt? Hoarding? Fire breath?” Twilight realized that she saw these things before, but she couldn’t remember where. She flew after Diamond Tiara and the others followed.
Diamond Tiara was near the town hall. The large filly noticed that she stepped in something. She lifted her hoof and saw a flattened house was stuck to it. “Ew, common houses.” She dragged her hoof around creating a large trench and rubbing the house off her hoof.
Nearby, Silver Spoon and Penny Worth were watching from around the corner building.
“What happened to her?” Silver Spoon said.
Penny Worth said, “Maybe she’s finally letting out her inner beauty.”
Silver Spoon glared at him.
The two saw Twilight Sparkle, and Fluttershy descend from the sky. They saw Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and The Cutie Mark Crusaders following them on ground. Rainbow Dash went ahead to try and stop Diamond Tiara again.
“You?” Silver Spoon said. She caught the attention of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They approached Silver Spoon.
The bearers of the Elements of Harmony followed the four fillies to Silver Spoon.
Silver Spoon said, “What are you doing here?”
Scootaloo said, “Well gee, I don’t know. Trying to find out why Diamond Tiara had a growth spurt and fire breath.”
Penny Worth said, “She was always a bit of a dragon.” before realizing that Spike was with them. “No offense.”
Twilight Sparkle said, “That’s it. She’s growing like a dragon.”
“That can’t be right,” Apple Bloom said. “How is that even possible.”
“Cuz,” Babs Seed said. “I’ve seen stranger things in Manehatten. Like that weird marshmallow pony battling one of the Princesses.”
“No, Apple Bloom’s right,” Applejack said. “There’s has to be a reason for this.”
Suddenly the group heard Rainbow Dash screaming as she crashed in front of them. They then looked at Diamond Tiara as she took the unconscious Roseluck, Lily and Daisy out of their flower store and ate the flowers within. She belched several flames.
Applejack said, “Let me guess, she burned you again?”
Rainbow Dash said, “Very funny.” She flew after Diamond Tiara. Applejack and Rarity followed Rainbow Dash.
Twilight said, “Mr, uh...”
“Penny Worth.” Penny Worth said.
“Right,” Twilight Sparkle said. “Do you know what happened before this.”
“I gave her a new drink,” Penny Worth said. “Said to be all the rage in Baltimare.”
Silver Spoon looked at Diamond Tiara as she battled Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Applejack. She saw something that made her cringe a little.
Twilight wondered if that drink had anything to do with this. “Is there anything else?”
Penny Worth shook his head. “I’m afraid I must go pick up some towels for Filthy Rich. If you wish to search the house for clues, than be my guest.” He then left.
Sweetie Belle said, “What is that drink anyway?”
The Crusaders looked at Silver Spoon. She said, “Don’t look at me like that! All I saw was her putting her jewelry in some saddle bags and that she was twice my height”
Twilight said, “Pinkie? Can you help make sure that Diamond Tiara doesn't cause any more trouble?”
Pinkie Pie said, “Okey dokey lokey.” and went deeper into town.
Twilight said, “I’m gonna check something at the mansion.” She then galloped away. Fluttershy, Spike, Silver Spoon and the Cutie Mark Crusaders followed her.
Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Fluttershy, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Babs Seed, and Silver Spoon looked around Diamond Tiara’s mansion for clues. The pink walls were littered with empty dressers.
“Gross,” Scootaloo said. The group searched around Diamond Tiara’s room.
Silver Spoon was uncomfortable with the fact that the Cutie Mark Crusaders were searching her friend’s home. But she felt even more uncomfortable with Diamond Tiara’s rampage. She said, “Don’t make a mess.”
Scootaloo and Babs Seed rolled their eyes. The fillies noticed that several drawers and cupboards were empty.
“I wonder what could be in those cupboards?” Sweetie Belle said.
“Probably some mirrors or something like that,” Scootaloo said.
Apple Bloom went into the kitchen and saw an empty blue bottle. She read the label. “Flim and Flam’s Blue Wonder Juice?” She knew she had seen the two unicorns before. She searched the label and saw something on the corner. She could only make out the word “Warning” on that corner. She went to let Twilight check the bottle.
Twilight, Spike and Fluttershy checked the living room. Apple Bloom entered. “Twilight?”
“Yes?” Twilight said. She saw that Apple Bloom held a blue bottle. She examined the label. She read the label, then checked the corner, “Warning: Flim and Flam are not responsible for anything involving shaggy coats, sudden size changes, the inability to speak, sudden changes in voices, swelled tongues, unusual horns, upside down wings, and cat scratches. Side effects may vary.”
She looked back and red the label again. She remembered the two stallions that competed against Applejack in cider-making contest. She stared at the azure bottle.
“Twilight?” Fluttershy said.
Something clicked inside Twilight’s head. She checked the ingredient list. She saw a small blade of blue grass. Twilight examined the blade and formed a hunch.
Twilight said, “Fluttershy, we need the cure for Poison Joke.” She ran out of the mansion.
Fluttershy and the fillies went after her.”But Twilight why?”
“No time!” Twilight said. “Hurry.”
Fluttershy was uncertain. She went into towards the Everfree Forest with the Cutie Mark Crusaders and Spike. Silver Spoon silently followed Twilight.
Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie were trying to keep Diamond Tiara from causing more damage. Rainbow Dash flew around the gargantuan pony while Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Applejack gathered some rope.
Diamond Tiara saw the Carousel Boutique. “Pretty.” Her greedy mind focused on the fashion shop.
Rarity said, “My boutique. I don’t know whether I should be mortified that she’s after her store or elated that she has good taste.” She saw Diamond Tiara lift the building like a dollhouse. “Mortified.”
Applejack took some rope and made another lasso.
Rainbow Dash said, “Rarity, keep your head in the game!” She carried another rope and flew towards Diamond Tiara.
Pinkie Pie fired her party cannon and hopped around, hoping to distract Diamond Tiara, but she just turned around and caught the cakes and decorations with her bags. She moved forward to the store.
Rarity took a third rope and tied back one of Diamond Tiara’s large hooves. She pulled back on the rope long enough to cause Diamond Tiara to drop the Boutique.
Applejack then threw her lasso and tied up her other forehoof.
Rainbow Dash finished tying up a knot around the giant filly’s midsection.
The three mares pulled on the ropes, while Pinkie Pie continued her distraction. Diamond Tiara wouldn’t budge. She was too large to be pulled by three mares.
Diamond Tiara took Pinkie’s party cannon and placed it into her bags.
“Hey," Pinkie Pie said, "that was a Z&R model!”
“Pinkie,” Rainbow Dash shouted. “Help!”
Pinkie Pie saw that her friends were trying to pull Diamond Tiara with the ropes. “Ooh, are you playing tug of war? I want to play too!” She helped Applejack pull her rope. But her added strength still wasn’t enough to pull Diamond Tiara.
Diamond Tiara looked at Twilight Sparkle flying towards her and saw her crown, the Element of Magic atop her purple head.
Twilight landed and folded her wings.
Applejack said, “Kinda need a hand here, sugarcube!”
Twilight Sparkle focused on the giant Diamond Tiara. Her horn glowed as a pink aura enveloped the large filly.
Silver Spoon looked from afar, worried for her friend.
Twilight tried to levitate Diamond Tiara, but she was too large for her to lift. The larger filly focused on the crown she grew larger and larger, until she broke both her bindings and Twilight’s spell.
The five ponies were knocked back by the tension of the ropes and spell breaking. They were in front of two buildings.
Diamond Tiara took the ropes still attached to her and placed them in her bags. Her draconic eyes looked back at Twilight and she charged at the alicorn. “Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine...” Her movements shook the ground as she went after the Element of Magic.
Twilight Sparkle gulped. She cast a spell and she, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Applejack vanished as soon as Diamond Tiara was a few inches away.
Diamond Tiara slid between the two buildings. As she squeezed through the opening her bags were forced off her sides by the tight fit. She crashed into another building The gargantuan filly was dizzy from the impact. She turned around and picked up her hoard, then she went to find Twilight Sparkle and her crown.
Fluttershy, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Spike and Babs Seed were galloping to the Everfree Forest when suddenly, they saw a flash of sparkles.
Fluttershy stopped in her tracks upon seeing the sparkles. The Cutie Mark Crusaders and Spike bumped into her.
Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Rarity appeared in the sparkles. The sparkles then stopped.
“Did you stop her?” Apple Bloom said.
“Um, about that...” Rainbow Dash said.
They heard ponies panicking in Ponyville.
Babs Seed said, “You didn’t?”
Twilight sheepishly said, “Um, eeyup.” Twilight realized she forgot something. “Go on ahead, I’ll catch up.” She teleported away.
The other ponies went into the Everfree Forest.
In Ponyville, Roseluck, Daisy and Lily woke up. They were surrounded by the flowers that Diamond Tiara didn’t eat.
Diamond Tiara was still trotting over town. Her massive hooves picked up everything in sight, from ponies to their homes, as she grew bigger and bigger. She already had the Carousel Boutique and used it as another bag alongside the Ponyville schoolhouse. The Wonderbolts flew around the area, trying calm her down.
“We have to get out of here,” Lily said. “Or that horrible pony will get us!”
The three flower ponies were about to gallop away. They were startled when they saw a flash of surprising sparkles.
Twilight Sparkle appeared in front of the mares. “Daisy, do you have that plant?”
The three mares were relieved that it was Twilight Sparkle. Lily fainted.
Daisy said, “What plant? And can’t you see we’re in the middle of a crisis here?”
“I know,” Twilight said. “I need that plant you gave Zecora, remember?”
“Um.” Daisy was having trouble remembering.
“You were afraid of her before we talked?” Twilight said.
“Oh yeah,” Daisy looked around the flowers but didn’t see the herb Twilight was looking for. “I’m sorry but I think its in that giant’s hoard.”
“Figures.” Twilight said. “Thanks anyway.” Twilight teleported away again.
Daisy and Rose picked up the unconscious Lily and took her somewhere away from Diamond Tiara.
Twilight Sparkle teleported into Diamond Tiara’s hoard. She could barely see the mess in Applejack’s barns. She saw some bouquets and picked up as many as she could.
“Guess we’ll sort them out later,” Twilight said.
“Excuse me?”
Twilight Sparkle turned her head and saw that there were several ponies trapped inside the hoard. “Oh boy.” She couldn’t just leave the townsponies trapped here.
Diamond Tiara saw a flash from one of her bags. That bag grew a little bit lighter as some of its contents lessened.
Twilight Sparkle appeared in front of the giant filly along with several townsponies. Her crown gleamed in the midday sun.
“Mine!” Diamond Tiara shouted.
Twilight vanished and appeared behind her with some other townsponies.
“Give me the crown!” Diamond Tiara pounced Twilight and appeared to have her under her forehooves, but when she lifted her forehooves, Twilight was gone.
Diamond Tiara’s large ears heard some panting behind her. She turned around and saw it was Twilight Sparkle, tired and carrying a bag of plants.
“Hey, those are mine!” Diamond Tiara said. She charged at Twilight.
Twilight was exhausted. She tried to use her teleport spell, but she couldn’t focus.
Diamond Tiara was a few feet away from her. This was it. Twilight closed her eyes wondering if this is how it all ends...
A few seconds had passed. Twilight opened her eyes and saw that she was being carried by one of the Wonderbolts. And that another had saved her bag of plants.
The Wonderbolt that carried Twilight landed on a roof. She said, “Princess or not, It really would be a bummer to see anypony stomped on like that.” Soon, the Wonderbolt that carried Twilight’s bag landed.
Twilight Sparkle said, “Thanks.” She knew she can’t teleport for a while. She took her bag and flew towards the Everfree Forest and her friends.
Meanwhile, Applejack, Apple Bloom, Babs Seed, Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Spike were headed to Zecora’s house. Pinkie Pie was brainstorming.
“I’ve got it!” Pinkie Pie said. “We’ll find a gorilla, have Twilight grow it to Diamond Tiara’s size, and have the two fight each other. it’s brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!” She giggled at how foolproof she thought her plan was.
Applejack said, “Pinkie, that’s ridiculous.”
Sweetie Belle said, “Yeah, where are we gonna find a gorilla anyway.”
“Shoot,” Pinkie Pie said.
Just then, they saw Twilight Sparkle trying to land. The rest of the group saw her bag of plants, flowers and herbs.
“Oh no, oh no. Oh no!” Twilight crashed into a tree.
“Still getting used to those wings, huh?” Spike said.
Twilight was a little dizzy, but she stood up and nodded. An apple fell on her head.
“What happened?” Fluttershy said.
“I couldn’t teleport...” Twilight panted. “Too tired.” She regained her breath. “The Wonderbolts are distracting Diamond Tiara right now.”
“Heck, yeah,” Rainbow Dash said. “They’ll stop that filly lickety split.”
“Just like they tried to stop me when I got big?” Spike said.
“Hey!” Rainbow Dash said. “It wasn’t their fault. You had the element of surprise!”
Applejack said, “We do have to hurry, though.”
Apple Bloom said, “Applejack’s right. Who knows how much bigger Diamond Tiara can get?”
Pinkie Pie said, “Big enough to carry four elephants that are carrying a dish-shaped planet?”
The group shuddered at the thought of that. They rushed to Zecora’s hut.
A few minutes later, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Spike, Apple Bloom, Babs Seed, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were at Zecora’s hut.
Apple Bloom knocked on the door.
Zecora opened the door and saw the ten ponies and lone dragon. “Ah, hello my friends, how do you do? And for this visit do I owe you?”
Twilight said, “Zecora, we have a giant problem.”
Apple Bloom said, “Diamond Tiara’s grown to enormous size.”
Babs Seed said, “She’s rampaging over Ponyville.”
Fluttershy said, “And she’s growing like a...” she gulped, “d-d-d-dragon would.”
“I see,” Zecora said. “Do you know what fate befell this pony? And if so, a way to stop her and her only?”
Twilight handed Zecora the blue bottle. “I think that she might had drank Poison Joke.”
Zecora examined the blue bottle. She looked at Twilight's bag of plants. “So a cure for the Poison Joke is what you seek, but to cure her, her transformation must peak. The herbs I had already obtained, but we must hurry, for the giant can’t be detained.” She went to make the cure.
“But I don’t think she could fit into the spa,” Applejack said. “How are we gonna shrink her?”
“I got it!” Rainbow Dash said. “We’ll seed the clouds and rain the cure to her.”
“That’s a good idea,” Twilight said.
“That’s a great idea!” Scootaloo said.
“And if it doesn't work?” Rarity said.
“Don't worry about that,” Rainbow Dash said. "I have a backup plan."
“We have to get her out of town first,” Applejack said.
“Leave it to us,” Apple Bloom said.
Sweetie Belle said, “Yeah, we can bait her with Twilight’s crown.”
Twilight cringed a little at the idea. She knew what happened the last time her and the Element of Magic were separated, but she also knew the danger Diamond Dazzle Tiara might distribute if she continues her destruction. She must be stopped.
“Sweetie Belle,” Rarity said, “it’s too dangerous.”
“Do you have a better idea?” Scootaloo said.
“As a matter of fact...” Rarity tried to think up a plan, “I don’t. But I’m not letting you distract that filly alone.”
“Same here,” Rainbow Dash said.
“So it is agreed, then?” Twilight Sparkle said. “We’ll use my crown to lure Diamond Tiara.”
The ponies nodded. A few minutes later, Zecora gave them the finished cure. The bearers of the Elements of Harmony and the Cutie Mark Crusaders went back to Ponyville to stop Diamond Tiara.
A few hours later the sun was setting, Diamond Tiara was still being deterred by the Wonderbolts.
The Wonderbolts flew around the area. Diamond Tiara swept at them. Some of the Wonderbolts fell to the ground, while others were flung out of the air, crashing into the ground below.
“Oh Diamond Tiara,” somepony said in a singsong voice.
The enormous filly turned around and saw Twilight Sparkle. Her crown sparkled in the twilight of the sunset.
“Mine!” Diamond Tiara charged at Twilight, but she teleported away. Diamond Tiara looked around with her reptilian eyes. She searched the area for Twilight Sparkle, but she couldn’t find her.
“Looking for this?”
Diamond Tiara looked behind her and saw that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had the crown.
“Bet you can’t catch us,” Rainbow Dash said. The two pegasi flew away while Diamond Tiara chased them.
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy saw Applejack in the distance. Rainbow Dash handed Fluttershy the crown.
Fluttershy looked back and saw the giant filly. She squeaked as she dodged Diamond Tiara’s lunge. Applejack galloped closer to Fluttershy.
Diamond Tiara said, “Give it to me!”
Fluttershy gulped. She flew down evading Diamond Tiara’s swipes and passed the crown to Applejack.
“Give me that!” Diamond Tiara said. “It’s mine!”
Applejack said, “Nope.” She galloped away and the enormous filly gave chase. She soon passed the crown to Rarity who ran into a different direction.
The rain began falling. Rarity saw that Diamond Tiara was shrinking a little. “Well at least you can fit into size um.. sixteen thousand?”
Diamond Tiara was not amused. “I. Want. My. Crown!”
“Sorry there, but this crown belongs to a friend, and I’m not letting your dirty hooves touch it.” Rarity galloped to the edge of town.
Diamond Tiara’s rage had hit the boiling point. She chased after Rarity, but the seamstress had already galloped several yards away from the giant filly.
Rarity saw Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie was playing several instruments. Rarity handed Pinkie the crown. “She's shrinking, but not by much.”
“Got it,” Rainbow Dash said as she flew off.
Pinkie Pie bounced past Rarity, still playing her instruments.
Diamond Tiara saw Pinkie Pie with the Element of Magic. The pink pony played her precarious instruments and perplexed the poison-joked pony who was positioned to attack the party pony.
Diamond Tiara charged at Pinkie Pie, but she bounced away.
Pinkie Pie said, “Wow, you are really big.” She bounced some more and avoided Diamond Tiara’s attack. “Oh my gosh! You’re bigger than I expected.’ Pinkie squealed. You know i’ve seen some pretty giant monsters before!” She bounced around the giant filly. “The hydra was larger than my house. Then there was Spike, the other two dragons...” She went on about giant monsters and played her instruments while Diamond Tiara tries to catch her.
“...And then I said, Oatmeal? are you cra--” Pinkie Pie was caught between Diamond Tiara’s forehooves and was lifted to her face.
Diamond Tiara’s eyes looked like pony eyes again. She glared at Pinkie Pie. “Where’s my crown?”
Pinkie said, “Dunno. Where’s my Z&R model party cannon?”
“Don’t play games with me!” Diamond Tiara said.
“Are you looking for this?”
Diamond Tiara turned her head and saw Apple Bloom, with the Element of Magic, as well as Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Babs Seed. She threw Pinkie Pie in the air.
Babs Seed blew her mane away from her eyes. “If you want that crown, you’re gonna have to catch us first!” The four fillies galloped away.
Diamond Tiara relished the thought of having both Twilight’s crown and the Cutie Mark Crusaders as prisoners. She chased after them.
Sweetie Belle galloped with her friends. “Now what?”
Apple Bloom said, “We have to get her away from here!”
Scootaloo said, “Follow me!” She went eastward and the other three followed.
In a couple minutes they were at the lake where Rainbow Dash swims. The Crusaders saw Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Zecora putting the herbs in the lake. Twilight heated it up with her magic, aided by Spike’s fire breath.
“We’re almost there,” Apple Bloom said.
Soon the four fillies stopped in front of the lake. Diamond Tiara wasn’t far behind them.
The little ponies waited for the right time.
Diamond Tiara was only a few feet away from the fillies. “Now I got you!” Her bags slid off as she shrunk and soon they fell off her.
“Now!” Apple Bloom shouted.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders were teleported away by Twilight’s magic. Diamond Tiara tried to stop before she could fall into the lake, but the ground was slippery from the rain. The giant fell into the lake and caused a wave large enough to flood the area around it.
“That was close.” Apple Bloom handed Twilight Sparkle’s crown back to its owner.
"Good idea using the lake, Rainbow Dash," Twilight Sparkle said.
"Heh, don't mention it," Rainbow Dash said.
Twilight used her magic to lift a normal-sized Diamond Tiara from the lake. She placed the shrunken filly on the lakeside.
“Ugh, my head,” Diamond Tiara said. “Wait a minute.” She looked around and saw the Cutie Mark Crusaders. “What are you doing here? Why am I wet?” She realized that her head was lighter. “Where's my tiara!?”
It was a week since Diamond Tiara became a giant. Ponyville was almost restored. Twilight Sparkle, her friends and the Cutie Mark Crusaders was busy helping with the last of the damaged buildings.
The four fillies saw Diamond Tiara and Penny Worth being scolded by Filthy Rich across the street. They chuckled.
A few hours later, the town of Ponyville was fully restored. They went to the library to rest.
“We should do this more often,” Pinkie Pie said. “It’s not every day we get attacked by giant monsters.”
“Try every other month,” Applejack said.
“Twilight!” Spike said. He was carrying a letter from Celestia. “This is urgent. You have to read this.”
Twilight Sparkle read the letter. It read, “My most faithful student. We need your assistance in Baltimare. There’s been some sort of Poison Joke outbreak there.”
Twilight Sparkle looked back to her friends. “Who’s ready for a trip to Baltimare?”
