             After weeks of being the adored hero of Ponyville, Rainbow Dash has been turned by her fans, even her friends by this mysterious pony that has been shadowing her, instead of Dash's heroism. 
No pony has ever made her feel so lonely in her life. Now, it was time to show that masked pony who's boss.
Rainbow Dash was flying over her once biggest fan, Scootaloo, following her to the thank you ceremony for the mysterious Maredowell. Thoughts flew through her head. How was she going to confront this pony in front of the hundred ponies watching? She wasn't sure, but one thing was certain, this pony needed to disappear from Dash's life.
"Finally" Dash sighed. She stopped flying and took a seat next to two cheering ponies. She rolled her eyes at their over excitement. Finally, the mayor walked onto the stage and cleared her throught before speaking.
"Citizens of Ponyville, I the mayor would like to thank you all to our first 'Thank you' festival for Ponyville's newest hero, The Mysterious MareDowell!"
And with that said, Maredowell jumped onto the stage, filled by the fan ponies cheers. Rainbow glared at the masked pony for some time, than jumped up on stage.
"The mysterious Maredowell huh?" Rainbow shouted. She ignored the sudden gasps of the crowd and continued. "So what are you hiding? Let's see how mysterious you are without a mask" She challenged and lunged for the mare's face.
Maredowell quickly leaped off the stage, galloping into the city. Rainbow growled and flew after her. She tried to catch up to her, but she was gone before Rainbow could get her. Annoyed now, rainbow turned around to see Maredowell sprint past her. 
"Not this time..." Rainbow whispered and bolted after her again. She was close to her now. Rainbow watched as Maredowell turned a corner. Rainbow took a turn into the corner and found herself at a dead end. Rainbow turned around again going to another area. She heard hoof steps behind her. Maredowell quickly galloped away. Rainbow turned to get her, but Maredowell zipped past again. Rainbow turned and realized Maredowell was flying over her.
"She is everywhere!" Rainbow thought to herself. The rage was filling her. This wasn't possible. She followed the masked pony one way and eventually caught up to her. But she heard a noise behind her. Rainbow looked behind herself, and her jaw dropped. How the hay did she get over there?!
Rainbow eventually got tired of it and flew up over a building and saw Maredowell walking in an alley way. The masked mare stopped to take a break. The perfect time, Rainbow thought.
Rainbow jumped and tackled the pony, but got flung off onto another building. Rainbow was officially done with this mare. Somthing snapped inside her and she looked over at a large cinderblock on the edge of the roof. Without waiting another second, Rainbow forcefully kicked the block off. 
To her surprise, the block flung off the roof and caused more blocks to fall. Maredowell looked up, and shuddered before the blocks painfully crushed her.
Rainbow flew down to the limp pony buried under five heavy cinder blocks. Rainbow felt awesome to be able to pull it off yet she felt bad now for most likely hurting this pony. How much damage can these cinder blocks even do, Rainbow thought.
"Now to find out who you really are" Rainbow said and pulled the mask off. Suddenly she dropped the mask and stared in horror. "P-p-pi-pinkie?"
The pink earth pony lay there, struggling to breathe. "No no no no. This can't be happening" Rainbow stuttered. She was too shocked to move. 
Just then, another pony approached her. It was another Maredowell. At first this "Maredowell" approached happily, then jumped at the sight she just now saw. The pony took off her mask with a shocked expression on her face.
"T-tw-twilight?!" Rainbow whispered, cowering in fear.
"Rainbow!? What happened?" Twilight squeaked.
Rainbow Dash couldn't speak. "I did this...." Rainbow whispered, barley audible.
Twilight must not have heard, because she didn't say anything. She ran over to three other ponies. Rarity, Fluttershy, and Apple Jack in a Maredowell costume. The three stared at Pinkie Pie for a while.
"Don't just stand there! She needs a hospital!" Rarity said. 
The ponies pulled off the heavy blocks off Pinkie Pie. Fluttershy put Pinkie Pie on her back and flew to the hospital.
Rainbow dash couldn't move. "Pinkie Pie, I'm so sorry..." Rainbow Dash cried.

Rainbow sat in the waiting room, shivering in fear. She'll be alright, she'll be alright, Dash kept saying in her head. How could she let her jealousy get the best of her? Pinkie Pie could be dead, and it's all her fault. She couldn't sit in the hospital room with her friends. They would ask her questions. After all, she was there.
Rainbow heard hoof steps coming towards her. It was Twilight.
"What are you doing out here Rainbow?" Twilight asked, concern in her eyes.
Rainbow Dash didn't say a word. She only stared at her hooves.
"Rainbow, why in tarnation would you confront Maredowell at the ceremony?" Rainbow Dash didn't realize that Applejack was there. In fact, all of her friends were there.
"Did you see the cinder blocks fall on Pinkie Pie?" Rarity asked, sounding somewhat suspicious.
How could Rainbow Dash explain? She stared at her friends. They stared back, waiting for an answer. "I...I...I just...."
She was interrupted by the sudden hoof steps approaching them. It was Nurse Redheart.
"Nurse Redheart! Is Pinkie Pie ok?" Fluttershy asked franticly.
The white mare looked at the ponies with sorrow in her sky blue eyes. "I'm sorry everypony....." she said quietly. "We did the best we could but..."
Rainbow Dash jumped from her seat. "What? WHAT?" she demanded.
Nurse Redheart sighed and said, "Pinkie Pie, has passed away....."
Rainbow couldn't feel the ground underneath her hooves. Time stopped as Nurse Redheart's words spun through her mind. She.....she..... she's...... DEAD?!?!?!? Tear's flooded Rainbow's eyes. "NO! SHE CAN'T BE!!!!"
Nurse Redheart looked away, as if she could barley believe what she said. "I'm sorry, but I would never lie about something like this"
Applejack took off her hat. Rarity and Fluttershy sobbed. Twilight's eyes were filled with pain. She looked over at Rainbow, and joined her friends in crying for their lost friend.
Rainbow Dash ran out through the doors. This was her fault. Pinkie Pie never deserved to die. Rainbow collapsed. She cried on the ground. There was never a pain this horrible. Pinkie Pie was one of her best friends, and she killed her. Rainbow briefly stopped crying. She KILLED her. She did something that would get her thrown in jail. Rainbow started to cry again.
Twilight pulled her up. "Rainbow?" Twilight sniffled. Her face was covered in tears, but she must have stopped crying.
Rainbow Dash couldn't look at her. If she knew what she did, she might as well throw her under a bunch of cinder blocks. "I-I'm fine...." Rainbow lied.
Twilight looked at her. "We're all grieving for Pinkie, but she's in a better place now" she said quietly.
Rainbow stomped her hooves. Somehow, the truth slipped out of her. "I DID IT!!!! I GOT JEALOUS OF MAREDOWELL, OK?!?!? I DIDN"T REALIZE IT WAS PINKIE PIE!!!!!" Rainbow screeched.
Twilight blinked. Rainbow started to cry again. "I'm sorry Twilight.... I just...."
Twilight didn't say anything. She just stared at Rainbow Dash. Finally, she said, "Even if it wasn't Pinkie, you still would have done it?"
Rainbow just looked at her hooves. "I....I.." she didn't know what to say. Rainbow looked up. Her wings unfolded.
Twilight lifted up a hoof. "Rainbow, wait!"
Rainbow took off into the sky. She had to get away from her wrong doings. She had to leave Ponyville. Her friends would only remind her of what she did, and she didn't want to hurt anypony ever again. "I hope they don't miss me. I don't want them to come after me" Rainbow thought darkly.

"Pinkimena Dianne Pie,1991-2013, filled with the element of laughter, she put a smile on everypony's face" Pinkie's shiny gravestone read. The stone was about 4 feet high, with her Harmony stone on top of it. Her Cutie Mark was engraved on the bottom.
"It's been a week since I took your life away...." Rainbow Dash was sitting in front of Pinkie Pie's grave. Rainbow stared at the stone. Her rainbow mane flowed in the light breeze. 
"Well, I guess this is good-bye. I need to leave my pains behind......Don't take it personal." Rainbow said as if she were still talking to living Pinkie Pie. Rainbow stood, before tears rolled down her cheeks. "Pinkie..... I-I'm so sorry...."
"It's ok silly!" Pinkie's voice was a faint breeze.
"Pinkie?" Rainbow looked up to see a faint mare. Her coat was shiny with stars
Pinkie Pie gave her friend a hug.
Rainbow Dash couldn't help but start crying once again. "Oh Pinkie, you didn't deserve to die" she sobbed.
Pinkie stopped hugging for a moment. "Well, it was kinda my idea. Twilight and Applejack said it would be a good idea, since it would teach you not to brag. But it kinda back fired." Pinkie Pie let out a small giggle.
Rainbow Dash looked behind her, remembering how close she was to Ponyville. "I can't go back to Ponyville. Our friends would hate me. I won't be able to visit anymore" 
"It's okay Dashie! I'll still be your friend. And I'll be with you wherever you go." Pinkie Pie smiled and hugged Rainbow again.
A tear rolled down Rainbow's cheek. "You haven't changed a bit Pinkie."
"Nope!" Pinkie joked.
Rainbow walked slowly away from Ponyville, the setting sun making her rainbow mane glow. The spirit of her friend didn't seem as far anymore.
