//------------------------------// // Chapter 1: Dawn of Day // Story: Homecoming? // by EuphorianPony3 //------------------------------// Sun shining down heavily and I'm in my bedroom cuddling my Rarity plushie while playing Call of Duty... Jesus what's wrong with me? "Jay! Get down here!" My grand dad called with a loud tone. "GET DOWN HERE AND BREATHE SOME AIR FOR ONCE!!!" I sighed as I put my Rarity plushie down to the next of me on my bed, I stepped off my bed with my feet landing on the bed with a loud creek. Looking at my poster of Full Moon on the cream-like wall... "He deserves better..." I than called down to my grand dad with a passion in my voice. "No! Damn how many times do I have to tell you that I hate the sun!" I heard no reply or echo as I looked outside as it was still bright as ever, I than noticed something little flapping it's way to my window. It took the shape of a bird nothing more than a pigeon flapped in rapid speed into my face ignoring the window as I fell to the ground with my eyes slamming shut... "Jesus Christ! Where am I? I started to speak as my eyes started to flap like broken curtains and the surroundings took a bloody red shape as I continued to examine my window which the sun, which used to be there now a dark night... "What a way to pass the day" I whispered as I began to grab a coat and some shoes as I walked outside my door, "Right, I'm going out for a walk..." I than started to walk slowly as I passed down the hallway leading to all four bedrooms with a red carpet and my dog, Max sleeping on the carpet next to my grand parents room, now woke himself as he looked at me with a stunned surprise. No more than a 10 year old German Shepard and still looked at me with a joyous look in his face... "How you doing puppy?" I whispered to the dog as I ignored his age and still found him cute. Max let out a short whimper as he laid his head on the carpet and closing his eyes as I stroked him for a few seconds on his head. I continued down the hallway as I approached the entrance to my cousin Mikey's room. I heard a film playing as my nan was speaking to him. "Nanny? What time is it?" Mikey began to speak as I stood next to the stairs. "11 PM sweetheart now get going to bed. We're going to Southend tomorrow aren't we?" My nan responded to him in a sweet tone. I ignored the talk as I slowly began to walk down the 25 step stairs. Red like the carpet with small yellow and green symbols in a zig-zag pattern I continued to walk down with the floor creaking silently as my grand dad appeared in my vision near the door. "I've been trying to talk to you for 6 hours now. Are you deaf or something?" My grand dad asked me. "No... A pigeon flew in my window and knocked me unconscious..." I felt woozy inside when saying that, waiting for a giggle or two to flutter out of his mouth. "Must've got rabies or something...You heading out?" Grand dad asked looking at me with his hand on the golden doorknob. "Yes, actually I need to catch the air..." I responded with a quite voice, grand dad then opened the door letting the frigid air get in. I began to walk to the door as grand dad called out to me "See ya in a bit" I responded as I closed the door allowing myself to catch the cold air. "Yep." I then closed the door shut as I began to walk down the concrete pathway as the green bushes made a exit visible for me. My eyes turned to the moon shining brightly in the sky. I felt relieved as I began to look back on the concrete continuing on my path. As a hedge came clear I walked through it with my right hand first as my body passed the hedge, the branches tickling my skin as a hill came clear. Gloomy the hill was, just the way I liked it, I then walked up the green grass with a cool breeze moving it as it moved along with the wind as I made my way up the hill with a tree laying atop the hill. Several clouds moved in the violet sky as I set myself down on the grass looking at the moon constantly as I noticed something shimmer in the star-filled sky. "What in the name is that?" I thought to myself as it came closer to the earth, I then heard the wind moving at intense speeds as the shimmer of white light came closer to the ground... Closer to me. The white light took shape of a ball as I noticed black flames circle around it as it came closer to the hill I was resting on. The ball now seemed as a meteor as it came even more closer to the hill. "Shit! Better scram!" I shouted as I ran as fast as my feet would allow down the hill with a headwind blowing in my face as the meteor crashed in the tree, I was flown away by the impact I slammed my face on the ground as I just suffered defeat I looked up again with mud sputtering out of my mouth. I looked at the meteor which has just crashed into the tree, the meteor's top half then opened to reveal something inside, what ever it was I had to examine the contents. Maybe bring back a sign of alien life? Many questions and thought of fame and glory seeped into my head as I got up from the mud and slowly walked closer to the meteor's shell. I heard a voice of a little child fill the ambient dark atmosphere. "Ga," It then waved something as it took the shape of a hoof, I was shocked at this and flew myself onto the grass with a shock visible on my face, frozen by the rigid air. It waved it's hoof again as I slowly got up and walked closer to it, taking a large gulp on my way there. What I saw was a young creature... Nothing of this world, it was too little to be a calf or a piglet, or even a sheep for that matter. What I saw was a young colt shivering in the shell of the meteor it's pure dark blue skin was moving slightly due to the cold and it's eyes locked into mine as I stared at the young one. I than took no time to take off my coat and slowly wrap it around him. He started to cringe a little as he does not recognise me. "Shhhh, shhh. It's okay... Daddy's got you now, hold on" I spoke with my sweetest tone at the colt, the colt smoothed itself in the warm leather of my coat as I continued to wrap it around him, he started to make subtle movements with his hooves as little wings flapped out with his eyes gazing at mine with thought if it could trust me. Something's he's never seen before in it's life. Could it trust me? I'm a complete stranger to the young one, why should it? I than saw a glint in it's eyes as I looked at him with thought in my head as I grabbed the colt with my arms locked around the blanket I made for him. "Wait... You look kinda familiar" It's eyes then closed as it let out air as it fell into a deep sleep I continued, whispering to myself. "You can't be... You just can't be... That shit is from a TV programme... Can't be real can you?" I than smothered myself crying internally at the colt. "It is you isn't it? The character I wished to become... Full Moon... The eyes of grey ashes... The blue of a deep ocean full of hidden paradise... The black of the howling night... Thank... Thank you Celestia... Thank you so much..." I than opened my eyes as tears continued to flow down, making it hard to see. I then looked at the hedge leading to the pathway heading home as I looked at the colt once more. "I'm taking you home... No way in hell am I going to leave you out here..." I than started to walk down the hill blanketed with grass and further to the hedge. I covered my body around the sleeping colt as I moved the coat around as if to fit a cradle, revealing only his head, which was revealing a deep slumber. Coming out of the hedge with the branches actually touching me this time since my skin was not covered by my coat. I began to look at the young one with a smile on my face as I've just been blessed by God himself. I continued my way down the concrete pathway as my home was visible. No lights was in the dining room or the upstairs rooms. Seems like I've been out long enough for them to fall asleep. I better take this one quietly. Since I did not want to bring attention to myself I pulled out my house key which was hanging from my blue denim jeans and moved the colt to one arm balancing it with my chest as I inserted the key and twisted it and slowly latched onto the doorknob as I opened the door as the frigid air was let out once again. I closed the door after pulling the key out of the door and turned on the downstairs light, including the dining room which I just entered noticing a note on the table. I pulled the note closer to my eyes as I read the letter. "Dear Jay." "We heard of huge traffic intermissions on the road so we thought it was best if we left to Southend now. We wished we could've taken you but you was gone longer then a hour! But I'm pretty sure you hate the sun anyway... We'll be back in a few days, I'm pretty sure you can handle yourself. Your uncle Mickey will step round a few times a day to feed Max so don't you worry about him. He'll bring you some dinner as well so all you have to do is feed yourself breakfast and lunch and also clean yourself for once! I've also allowed you to go on-line but not in the night! You'll go blind within a second." "Hope to see you soon!" "Grand dad" I placed the letter on the table again as I sighed in relief that I can get the young one comfortable without any hassle. I than started to use the Milk Maker 2000 and make the colt some warm milk as for myself some orange juice. I than pulled the colt into my room as it slept in my coat as I started to rip down my posters and hide my Rarity plushie. I made the bed since I've always lived my life messy, and then laid the colt on the warm mattress. the colt let out the cutest snore as I realized Max was looking at the young one alongside me. I was about to push Max away from the colt as he looked at me and then sat and gave a paw to me... He's never acted this way before around someone new... Always vicious and violent but something felt odd. As if he knew the young colt shared my blood... I looked at Max and reached my hand out to his paw as his tongue started to hang out making him look more cuter I then wrapped my arms around Max as he walked on all fours as he laid on my rug in the middle of my room. I turned my TV off with a sigh and I began to head downstairs to retrieve the milk for the colt. As I headed upstairs it came to me... What if this was a mistake? What if Celestia accidentally sent him here? What if he was banished? Hold on I cannot think of this! I'm glad he rode that meteor to Earth! As I approached my room I noticed Max sleeping on the rug and Full Moon as I began to call him was sleeping on my bed, I woke the colt up to feed him the milk. His eyes awoke as he turned his attention to the milk bottle as I gathered him into my arms and gave him the milk bottle as he started to suck it. As he was drinking from the bottle I took a sip from my juice. Full Moon then placed the bottle on the coffee table much to my surprise. As I was wondering how the hell he managed that at an early age he wrapped himself in my arms closing his eyes again. I shrugged my shoulders as I placed him on the bed as I turned the lights off and laid on my bed, drifting off to a sleep and hopefully into a sweet dream as I whispered to myself "Thank you Celestia... Thank you so much... My eyes drifted off as the world around me faded away...
