"Wow, I can't believe that Twilight is going out with Soarin! It's just so weird. Can you believe it Rarity?" Rainbow Dash said then paused confused that Rarity was no longer following her. She turned around and started going back in search of Rarity. "Rarity, where are you?" she shouted. She kept walking and paused in front of the jewelery shop to see Rarity staring in the window.
"Wow, aren't those gems just BEAUTIFUL?!" Rarity exclaimed.
"Yeah, sure I guess." Rainbow Dash answered trying her best to sound like she cared.
"These Regal Rubies are just fantastic!"
"Those aren't rubies, Rarity. They're pink, rubies are red!"
"Rainbow dear, rubies can come in many different shades of red, some are even slightly purple. You have much to learn about gems."
"Well, I'm going to leave you to whatever you're doing and see what Apple Jack is doing." she darted off to Sweet Apple Acres leaving Rarity staring in the windows dreamily.
"My, these are beautiful gems. WHAT, that gem is NOT a topaz! Its a dirty emerald!" Rainbow Dash heard Rarity say before a door slammed. She got far enough away that she couldn't hear the intense shouting and foul language from inside the store.
Rainbow Dash proceeded to wander down the dirt road until the barn was in sight. She walked up to Big Mac who was slummed up against the side of the barn with his straw hat down to cover his face.
"Hey Mac." Rainbow Dash said. "Where's Apple Jack?" She waited a couple seconds before poking him. "Wow, must've been a good harvest today." she shouted trying to wake up Mac. She paused thinking then shoved him onto his side. She hesitated then kicked his chest. "Wow, heavy sleeper." she whispered.
"WHO, WHAT, uhhh." Big Mac woke with a start. "OUCH, why does my chest hurt so much?"
"WHOA, you can talk?"
Big Mac got up. "Eeyup"
"Did you know you can sleep through a lot but a little whisper wakes you up? Very original."
"Eeyup"
"Let me guess, Apple Jack is still carrying back the harvest?"
"Eeyup"
Rainbow Dash sat down. "Sure is hot out today."
"Eeyup" he said as if it just occurred to him.
"So why aren't you helping Apple Jack take the apples back here?"
"Its a one pony cart and my harness broke."
"Oh, ok then. You should sit down, your sweating a lot."
Big Mac wiped his hoof on his face and looked at it to see that he was sweating intensely and sat down next to Rainbow Dash. He reached over and grabbed a bottle of apple juice from the cooler right next to him.
"Where did that cooler come from? Was it here the whole time and I missed it?"
"Eeyup"
"Can I have a drink?"
"Eeyup" he replied reaching into the cooler for another bottle then gave it to Rainbow Dash.
"Thanks." She took a sip.
The two sat in awkward silence for nearly an hour by the time Apple Jack arrived.
"Apple Jack!" Rainbow Dash shouted then ran over to her friend. "You look exhausted! Here." she handed Apple Jack a bottle of apple juice then helped her friend out of the harness.
"Thanks sugarcube. You really are a good friend! Anyways I'm gonna go take an ice cold bath to cool down. I'll be back in a bit." Apple Jack said as she trotted over to the house.
"Well, its just you and me again." Big Mac said.
"Heh, yeah." she said awkwardly. "So, hows it going?"
"Good I guess."
The two chatted for a while to pass the time. Apple Jack finished her bath and walked outside without her hat and her hair dripping water wherever she went.
"Sorry it took so long, couldn't find a towel."
"Its ok Apple Jack, it didn't bother me."
"Well that's nice sugarcube."
"Yeah I know that's just who I am, fastest pony in Equestria, #1 fan of the wonderbolts, your brother's girlfriend, future captain of the wonderbolts, weather pony of Ponyville." she said
"Wait, what was the third thing?" Apple Jack asked.
"Future captain of the wonderbolts?"
"No the one before that."
"Number 1 fan of the wonderbolts?"
"After that."
"Uhhh." Rainbow Dash stared at the ground awkwardly. "Your brother's boyfriend." she added quietly.
"No way. You, and my brother. No way." she babbled at a loss for words.
"Yeah, I know. Anyways, we're going to go to Twilight's house and surprise her." Rainbow Dash and Big Mac got up and headed to Twilight's house. When they arrived they paused at the door to see a tie on the doorknob and Spike playing video games in the bush.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Big Mac asked after a couple minutes passed and he reached out to open the door.
"NO!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she stopped Big Mac from opening the door. "Are you crazy? Didn't you see the tie? You can't walk in on a tie door!"
"Well, why not?"
"It means they are, sticking a hot dog in a doughnut"
"Why would they do that? It sounds disgusting! Well I guess it depends on what kind of doughnut, chocolate doughnut might be good, jelly filled would be ok."
"Mac, stop. That's not what I meant at all!"
"Well, that's what you said!"
Rainbow Dash attempted to get Big Mac to understand without actually saying it.
"I don't understand, make up your mind, what does the tie mean?"
"It means they're having sex!" Spike interrupted tired of this conversation.
"Well thank you very much Spike." Rainbow Dash said.
"Hey Rainbow, who are you with, I can't see them, this bush is blocking them out, do I know them?"
"Eeyup." replied Big Mac.
"Is that, Big Mac?!"
"Eeyup."
"No way!"
"Eeyup."
"So you can talk?"
"Eeyup."
"Riveting conversation guys." Rainbow Dash interrupted. "Well we should get going, who knows how long they'll be in there." she said when the door suddenly opened and a purple hoof darted out grabbed the tie and darted back in.
Spike got up and walked in and said, "Perfect timing huh?"
"Eeyup." Rainbow Dash said.
"Aww come on Dashy, that's my line." Big Mac said and the two started laughing.
"Well I suppose we should do what we came here for right?"
"Eeyup."
The two walked in and started talking to Twilight.
"Guess who the newest couple in Ponyville is." Rainbow Dash said
"Considering whats happening out the window right now, Derpy and Dr. Whooves." Twilight replied.
"What, really?" Rainbow Dash went up to the window and watched as the couple became a couple.
"Ok then, the SECOND newest couple in Ponyville."
"You and Big Mac?"
"How did you know?"
"Anyone with half a mind could see that you two are a 'thing'."
"Oh." Rainbow Dash said awkwardly.
"Anything else?"
"No, that was all, I guess we should get going, right Mac?" she waited a bit for a response. "Right mac?" she said kneeing Mac on the side.
"OW, yeah sure, I guess, bye Soarin." he said a little upset that his conversation came to an abrupt halt.
The two headed back to the barn.
"Hey Mac, does rolling in the hay mean anything to you?" Rainbow Dash asked randomly on their way back.
"No, but I'm guessing due to the events of the day and your personality it means sex right?"
"You know me so well. So, will you?"
"Sure, I guess."
When they got to the barn it was very late and the rest of the Apple family was asleep. You can probably fill in the rest.
