Chapter 8: Noble Song and Dance
A bright flash appeared in Princess Celestia's study, heralding Luna and Twilight's arrival. After they appeared, Luna and Twilight walked over to Celestia. Twilight gave back the family tree book, and kissed Celestia as a thank you for letting her borrow it, Luna just got even more grossed out by her parents showing each other affection.
“So, I see the discussion with your family went well.” Celestia cooed, looking at her wife.
“Yes it did, and I had a nice talk with my brother and sister-in-law. It was funny after I finished speaking they just stared at me like I was a madmare, but now we don’t have to worry about telling them that they need a heir to the throne. But we do have to tell her that we have to put a spell on Shining Armor if he wants to be with his wife forever. And I think the perfect time to tell them is when they come looking for me, after what I said to them.” Twilight elaborated to Celestia who was giving her a odd look.
“Please don’t tell me you told them the spell that allows a mortal to impregnate an immortal.” Celestia replied dejectedly, shooting a disappointed look at Twilight.
“No, I did not. And I don’t even know why you found that spell. You said you never wanted to go through the pain that I went through with Luna, and you said that if I ever got you pregnant you would banish me like you did Luna.” Twilight commented, remembering her wife saying that to her, minus the 'banished like Luna' part.
“Yeah I know, but I found it just in case Luna fell in love with a mortal, like I did with you. But now my sister can use it with Shining Armor.” Celestia whispered into her wife’s ear so, Luna couldn't hear.
“You could have told me that a long time ago! I always wondered why you found it, you know...” Twilight gasped as she playfully pushed Celestia away.
“Now come on you two, lets go deal with the nobles I have already dealt with my parents. So now we can handle them until something else comes up that will drag us away.” Twilight concluded, looking at her family to follow her to the throne room to deal with nobles.

(Throne room)
Celestia sat on the throne, while Twilight was sitting on a plush, purple and white, gold-trimmed cushion, to represent her marriage to Celestia, on her right. Luna was sitting on Celestia's left, on a dark royal blue, purple and white trimmed cushion .
It had been an hour and the three had been through almost all of the nobles hollering and demanding that 'two mares should not be together,' and that 'this is just a trick to mess with them,' and that went on with a couple of the noble houses. Some thought that this was just a ploy to get Twilight's noble house more power than the rest. What really made Celestia mad was when Blueblood's noble house came to day court and accused Twilight of hypnotizing the princesses, and that she just wanted the power to herself, and that the princesses need to be tested if they are under a spell. Truthfully, they were under a spell, but any hypnotizing or mind-control spell tests came back negative. As a response the nobles lost part of their noble status and were forced out of the palace.
Twilight happily sighed, knowing this was the last group of nobles to deal with for the day. “Let them in, and if anyone else is out there afterwards, them tell them to come back tomorrow. Court will be closing after this final group,” Celestia gave an order to the guards standing by the door.
When the doors opened, they saw Cadence and Shining Armor standing on the other side. Twilight quickly took notice and spoke clearly, “Guards, leave us, be outside at your posts. We are heading for Celestia's and my own private chambers to talk to our niece and nephew. You can also send up some guards to that post, to make sure we are not disturbed.”
“Yes ma’am,” replied the guard.
With that said, a flash of light goldish-purple magic ensconced the five ponies before they disappeared.

Another bright flash appeared in Celestia's chambers, as four ponies appeared. After the flash faded away, both Twilight and Celestia walked over to a lone table in the middle of the room and sat on one side of it. Cadence and Shining Armor just looked around for Luna, remembering that she was with them when they teleported.
“If you are looking for Luna, we sent her to her room for now. She is not in trouble or anything, we just don’t want her to hear this,” Twilight explained quickly. “And honey,” Twilight turned, looking at her sister-in-law and brother, motioning them to sit on the other side of the table. After they did, she turned to her wife.
“Yes?” Celestia answered simply.
“Can you send Luna a letter telling her why she is in her room, and that she should stay there. Also, let her know that I will bring her here when we are done telling her aunt and uncle about some things.” Twilight suggested to her wife, as she turned to receive a nod from Celestia.
"Now, let's get down to why we are here," Twilight remarked, looking at her brother and sister-in-law again.
“Yes, I agree, but one question. What did you mean by heir to the throne? I thought that immortals cannot impregnated by mortals,” Cadence asked, looking at Celestia and Twilight with an odd expression on her face.
“Yes that is true, by natural means, but there is a way that you can, via magic.” Celestia revealed to them, only to receive a dumfounded look on her sister’s face in response.
“What do you mean, 'there is a way?' I looked everywhere for one, but I couldn't find anything!“ Cadence exclaimed, still dumbfounded that her sister found a spell that she was looking for since she had married Shining Armor.
“Well, I found the spell when Luna started dating and if she married a stallion, she would not be able to have foals for that reason, so I looked for the spell and I found it. I know that if somepony else found it they can use it on Luna or myself, so they can get part of the throne.” Celestia's tone quickly turned sour as her expression turned to match, “I had it removed from every book that it was in, and I memorized it, so it would not be lost forever. The only other pony that knows it is Twilight.” Celestia then shared a knowing look with Twilight. “I gave her the spell with the knowledge that if she used it on me, I would be very angry at her, because I told her I did not want to go through the pain that she had with Luna.” Celestia finished her explanation and sat back slightly.
“So, this entire time I have been looking for a spell, you had it the whole time. Why didn't you tell me you had it?” Cadence demanded of her sister as she pointed a forehoof accusingly at Celestia. Shining Armor looked at his wife and comfortingly put a hoof on her shoulder.
“Well, you never asked. And if I had told you, would have been wounded. That's why I got rid of it, because you know nopony can overpower me, except maybe Twilight, but you still would've wondered why I removed it.” Celestia sagely replied, hoping to calm Cadence down a bit.
“That also will bring us to the next item on the list, but before that, do you have any questions? If you don’t, then I will fetch Luna. “ Twilight announced, charging her horn for a teleport spell. She sat there for a couple of seconds in dead silence, before completing the spell and in a flash Luna appeared between Celestia and Twilight.
“Oh! Hi mom, mommy, I was wondering when I would get to be able to be here, I was sitting in my room, bored out of my mind.” Luna confessed to them as she settled into her spot.
“Luna, I am sorry I sent you to your room. I just had to talk to your aunt and uncle in private about stuff on their part,” Twilight opening up for a hug with Luna.
“It's ok mommy, you had a reason for it, and I understand,” Luna answered, accepting her mother's proffered hug.
After the hug, Twilight looked over to Cadence and Shining Armor before cryptically speaking, “Now, let's discuss if you want to have Shining Armor around, like Celestia did with me?” Cadence and Shining Armor shared a look, both scared about the question.
