Inside the memories of Ponyville, Twilight and Pinkie Pie walked around the town. Twilight looked at the silver key. She wondered if the key had anything to do with the talismans.
Pinkie Pie said, “Twilight, look!” and pointed forward.
They saw Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Silver Spoon.
Twilight said, “Did you find anything?”
Applejack took out the crimson key. “We found this.”
Twilight looked at Applejack’s key. She saw that it resembled a sword.
Rarity and Sweetie Belle had just entered the street.
Rarity said, “Twilight, we seem to have found something.” She took out her ebony-colored key.
Twilight looked at the key and saw that its bow resembled the red key’s, only with two cups hanging on both sides.
Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Scootaloo came last. Twilight noticed that Rainbow Dash had a small viridian key.
“Twilight,” Rainbow Dash said. “We found this key and we--” She saw Twilight levitating the other three keys. “Oh.”
Twilight levitated the viridian key and saw the scythe-like fang where the teeth should have been. She said, “This is strange.”
She went to her Library; the others followed.
A few hours later, in the memories of her Library, Twilight Sparkle studied the keys.
In another room, The Cutie Mark Crusaders spoke amongst themselves.
“Are you certain we should trust Silver Spoon?” Scootaloo said.
“She did say she wants to help,” Apple Bloom said. “But I don’t know.”
“We haven’t seen her at all since we joined the Foal Free Press,” Sweetie Belle said. “Maybe she and Diamond Tiara had a falling out?”
“I don’t think so,” Scootaloo said. “There’s something missing here.”
“Are you talking about me?”
Silver Spoon entered the room. She startled the Crusaders.
“Umm...” Sweetie Belle said.
Silver Spoon said, “I know that you don’t exactly trust me.”
“It’s not that we don’t trust you,” Apple Bloom said.
“It’s not?” Sweetie Belle said.
Scootaloo facehoofed.
Silver Spoon said, “I know that our history has been... strained.”
Scootaloo said, “That’s putting it mildly.”
“Silver Spoon,” Apple Bloom said. “What’s going on? Did something happen between you and Diamond Tiara?”
Silver Spoon said, “You could say that.” She recalled the night that Diamond Tiara went to Unicorn Range. She was hesitant to tell them the details, partly out of knowing that both she and Diamond Tiara bullied them many times. She whispered, “Can you save her?”
“Save who?” Scootaloo said.
The fillies noticed Applejack had opened the door. She had some food and four plates with her.
“I reckon that y’all must be starving right now.” Applejack placed four plates on the floor. She said, “So I took some time to get some dinner.” She placed some food on each of the plates.
The fillies thanked Applejack and she left.
Silver Spoon said, ”I’ll tell you later.” She took her plate and left.
Apple Bloom wondered once more what happened during their time in the loops, and in the few days they were statues.
Shining Armor and Princess Cadence had gathered up some of the healthy members of the guard for the search party. Lyra, Bon-Bon, and Spike were nearby.
Flitter, Cloudchaser, Star Song, and Thunderlane descended on the castle grounds.
Shining Armor said, “So you’re the pegasi Gale Force told me about?”
Cloudchaser said, “Reporting for duty, sir.”
The pegasi saw Lyra and Bon-Bon.
“Hey,” Thunderlane whispered. “Didn't we see those two a couple days ago?”
Flitter whispered, “Yeah, you’re right. Wonder what they’re doing here”
Shining Armor said, “Alright, you know that Princess Celestia has been kidnapped last night at 2116 hours.”
The ponies and Spike nodded.
“Well,” Shining Armor said. “We are gonna find her and rescue her from the windigos!” He then explained the roles of some of the member, as well as some details about their mission.
A few minutes later, the search party left Canterlot and followed the blizzard southwest.
In the skies above Ponyville. Legion was pleased as he looked at the frozen Princess Celestia.
“Soon,” he mused. “We will break the fifth seal, and you shall give them your word, the word of our salvation.”
Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were busy playing in the clouds. Diamond Dust entered the room.
“So,” Legion said. “You want to escape and betray us, your highness?”
“Cut it out!” Diamond Dust said. “I already know I’m not the one pulling the strings here!”
“Then you should know what would happen if you attempt to defy us again,” Legion said.
“So, where’s the fifth seal then?” Diamond Dust said.
“The seal was placed on the gates of Tartarus,” Legion said. “After they sealed us away, they did the same to our former ruler. He is now a lifeless husk.”
Diamond Dust smirked. “And what good would a corpse do you then?”
Legion smirked. He noticed something off with Diamond Dust’s tiara. “I would advise highly against telling the servants anything about this. You don’t want this happening again.”
The temperature lowered Diamond Dust’s smirk turned into a frightened expression and she galloped away.
Legion turned to Celestia and mused, “She would be a terrible vessel thanks to you. But luckily there is another potential candidate.” He remembered the pegasus that attempted to attack Diamond Dust a few days back.
Legion left the room. a small part of the ice surrounding Celestia melted.
