Vinyl Scratch had teleported herself and Rythian out of Rainbow Dash's house once Dash started strangling poor Rythian, demanding Redbull.
"And you call her your friend? She tried to kill me!" Rythian snapped at Vinyl.
"Hey, she's fine most of the time. Plus, she's normally too busy during her moments to notice me stealing all of her money, so I'm okay with it." Vinyl said, showing him a pouch of bits. Rythian simply sighed.
"Whatever. I'm just going to-"
"Hey, Vinyl!" A purple unicorn trotted up to Vinyl, completely oblivious to Rythian.
"Oh, hey Twi, what's up?" Vinyl greeted her with a wave.
"Well, about an hour ago, a huge magical surge went through Ponyville, and I'm trying to figure out what caused it." Twilight explained.
"Oh, that must have been the portal...."
"Portal? What portal? I swear, if I find out you and Rainbow Dash have been messing with those again, I'm gonna-"
"Chillax, Twi, for once me and Dash didn't cause it. It was Rythian." Vinyl told the unicorn, motioning towards the mage.
"Rythian? Who's Ryth- Oh... Um, hello there..." Twilight said, finally noticing him. "Er, my name is Twilight Sparkle." Vinyl took this moment to start day dreaming, because she finds first meetings to be really boring.
"I wonder where he came from... Well, I know my Pfudor powers told me it's Minecraft, but he doesn't seem like he's from vanilla... He must be from a modded Minecraft! Oh, this conversation with myself is really fun! It's like... I already know what I'm going to say to myself... How cool is that? Wait, I'm getting off topic. What was the topic again? Oh, yes, mods! Maybe he's from... Mo' creatures? Nah. Tornado mod? Fun, but I doubt it. Trail Mix mod? In my dreams... Man there's so many mods, I'm never gonna figure this out! Wait a minute, why don't I just ask him? I'm so smart!"
"How did you manage to open a portal of that size, Rythian?" Twilight was saying as Vinyl snapped out of her conversation with herself.
"I didn't open it, it just appeared after... The incident..." Rythian trailed off.
"Incident? What incident?" Twilight urged. Rythian flinched at the thought, remembering Zoeya and Lalna. Lalna... That idiot would pay for this! But for now, Rythian would calm down, and try to fix this mess.
"I'd rather not talk about it." He answered quietly.
"Oh, um, of course. Well, can I help you with anything? Do you have a place to stay?" Twilight asked him, changing the subject.
"Well, n-"
"He sure does! He's staying with me and Dash!" Vinyl spoke up, patting Rythian on the back. He slapped her hoof away, opening his mouth to speak, but Vinyl yet again beat him to it. "Yup, no doubt about it, he's staying with me and Dash!"
"Oh, right. Well if you need anything just let me know!" Twilight said, and awkwardly walked away.
"What the hell? I don't want to stay with you and your insane friend!" Rythian snapped once Twilight was out of earshot.
"Hey, I just did you a favor! Now you don't have to meet any of her creepy friends!" Vinyl said with a laugh, and began ushering him back towards Dash's house. "So, Rythe, where are you from?" Vinyl asked as they walked.
"Don't call me that! And I'm from a place called Minecraftia-"
"I KNEW IT!" Vinyl suddenly yelled, earning some really weird looks from every nearby pony.
"- from the land of Tekkit." He finished.
"Tekkit? Damn, I should have known that!" Vinyl sighed, remembering her fun times with that mod pack.
"Yea... I'm going to pretend I understand what you just said. Anyways-" He was suddenly interrupted by a bright flash of light. "Ugh! Can I just talk for one minute without being interrupted?"
"Nope! Look, it's another portal!" Vinyl exclaimed as the light began to die down, revealing a swirly rainbow portal. "Wow! I'm gonna poke it!" she picked up a hoof, but Rythian held her back.
"Don't do that you fool!" Rythian snapped. As soon as that was said, a figure tumbled out of the portal. Rythian and Vinyl exchanged a look, and Rythe took a hesitant step towards the figure. "Is that..." He began in shock, "Lalna?!?"
