It was late at night when Derpy returned home after seeing Luna and for whatever reason the atmosphere around her was
eerie.
Derpy arrived home and looked behind checking if anything was following her, everything was normal and she let out a sigh in relief. Derpy went up stairs ready to go to sleep when somepony covered her mouth
"Do as I say and you won't get hurt." she recognized that voice and looked back it belonged to Lightning Dust
"Now give me the badge." Dust looked at her with greed in her eyes
"What badge?" she responded
"Oh you know exactly what badge I'm talking!" Lightning Dust tightened her grip on Derpy
She didn't respond to Dust and in a few moments Dust hit her head making her eyes go everywhere and stole her badge, once she had it she flew out of the window at full speed.
That badge was very important to her and she had to get back. Immediately she got up and chased after Lightning Dust she straightened her eyes with effort.
She flapped her wings as fast as she could but it was taking up a lot of energy and quickly became tired, Derpy started losing hope when a familiar voice rang in her head
"You can do it Derpy! Don't give up hope! What truly bonds you to that badge?"
It's my friendship with Luna!! she responded
Suddenly Derpy had a burst of energy flow threw her and she flew like never before,
soon she started to see Lightning Dusts shadow.
Before she knew it Derpy was right beside Lightning Dust!
A thunder cloud was coming into sight and she went behind Dust but suddenly she stopped and Derpy still going at full speed crashed into her and went threw the thunder cloud.
Seeing her chance she grabbed the badge from Lighning Dust and sped threw the cloud making Lightning appear shocking
Lightning Dust while Derpy was safe out of the cloud.
When she looked behind her self she saw that she was leaving a trail of gold as she flew kind of like the trail that Rainbow Dash would make when she did the sonic rainboom.
Once she landed in front of her house a few ponies were applauding her for what she did
"It was a beautiful golden lightning explosion that you made Derpy!" Said Rarity
"It was like the sonic rainboom except smaller and golden!" Lyra approached the gathering ponies
Derpy blushed at the praise at the praise
"It wasn't really anything... And I couldn't of done it without the encouragement of a friend"
Derpy looked up at the moon as she said that small speech
"Who where you chasing anyway??!!" asked Pinkie who was jumping all over the place
At that moment Rainbow Dash walked up to the crowd suddenly Derpy felt uncomfortable of saying the name of the thief in front of Rainbow Dash knowing the bad relationship they both had, never the less she said who
"I was chasing after Lightning Dust..."
"How come?" asked Rainbow Dash
"She stole this badge from me.." she responded
"Isn't that a badge for permission of entering Canterlot Castle?" said Rarity as she studied the badge
"Wait so your friends of the Princess?!" Dashes mouth dropped at the surprise
"Mostly Luna but yes" she responded
"Oooh I have one too!" shouted Lyra and showed it to Derpy
"Me and Luna always connect on wi fi and kick some ass on the internet!" She boasted Derpy smile in return.
After many questions and answers finally Derpy was able to return home and sleep tight.
