//------------------------------// // Reveal... // Story: Legion // by TheRocketMan062 //------------------------------// It was a beautiful day. The sun was hanging unopposed in the sky, spreading it's warmth across the lands. Celestia wanted to be happy. But the knowledge that many innocent ponies would die today made it impossible. The fact that she had to ride in a heavily armored carriage dampened her mood even more. The Guards insisted that terrorist snipers were incredibly accurate with ranged spells, thus providing ample reason to have a completely covered and thickly armored carriage ready for The Princess to use. She hated it. It was stuffy. She also hated the fact that despite her and her guards best efforts, the terrorists remained at large, slaughtering ponies upon whim. And they have given no reason why they attack innocent's. The Royal and Lunar guards were on their last legs. They used to be over 10,000 strong. Only 1,500 remained. Celestia sighed, and idly fiddled with her flowing mane. Her thoughts turned to her beloved sister Luna. She had hardly seen her for the past several months. Whenever she did see her, she would be rushing about, abacus held closely to her chest, rambling about various topics under her breath. She looked more worse for the ware last time Celestia had seen her, which had been earlier that morning. She looked awful, but elated none the less. She had asked, no, demanded that Celestia come to the bottom of Canterlot mountain, and to not question why. Celestia agreed. It would have taken her mere minutes to reach the bottom of the mountain by flight. Unfortunately for her, the guard had caught wind of her planned travel. So now here she was, 3 hours later and moving at a snails pace. "This had better be good Luna." Celestia muttered. An hour and a half later, Celestia hopped out of the carriage and stretched her cramped limbs. "We will wait for you here you're Majesty." the carriage driver assured her. "Wonderful." Celestia groaned. There was no way in hell she was riding that carriage back up the mountain. "Sister! Over here!" Celestia turned and saw Luna waving to her excitedly from an opening in the mountain side. "This had better be good Lulu, or I'll have my revenge." Celestia said playfully, grinning as walked up and nuzzled her smaller sister affectionately. "Trust me Tia, it will be!" You may hate me after I show you, but It's for the greater good. I failed my Ponies once. I wont fail them again.Luna thought. Minutes later, the royal sister's were riding in an elevator that took them deeper and deeper under the mountain. Celestia eyed her little sister wearily. Her fur and mane were disheveled, and she looked as if she had not slept for days. "Luna, what is this project, and why are you losing sleep over it?" Luna did not look at her sister. "It's for the good of our ponies Tia. That's all I can tell you right now." The elevator doors slid open, and the two Alicorns stepped out. "Here's a fun fact sister, we are currently 3 miles under the earths surface!" Celestia didnt show it, but she was impressed. Then she paused. When did her sister build a facility 3 miles under the surface? And how? When Celestia asked her sister, Luna said "All questions will be answered soon enough Tia." Luna refused to say more. After a few minutes of walking, Celestia was getting more worried. She had seen no other ponies yet. The walked up to a door, and Luna put her hoof on some sort of scanner, causing the door to open a moment later. The door's opened up into a large amphitheater. It wasn't the sheer size of the room that made Celestia's jaw drop. It was what was inside that made her heart skip a beat.
