Twilight stood in front of a passed out Luna, when she noticed the chaos around Canterlot. Dragon ponies were slaughtering innocent citizens, and the castle looked like old ruins. Wow. Dragon ponies worked fast. She heard a crash behind her, a dragon pony had landed.Twilight could tell it was a mare. She was cream colored, with a green mane and tail. Her eyes were green slits and, like Eve, she had dragon's wings, and a sharp horn. She didn't look like the fighting type, but she was devoted to the takeover of Equestria. Twilight just gave her a look. The look made the dragon pony crumble.
"Don't hurt me, I don't like to fight, ok?" said the pony.
"I won't hurt you." said Twilight,"I don't like to fight either."
The dragon pony looked up from her hoofs,"Really?"
"Sure." said Twilight. Then she smiled. 
"My name is Mellow Leaf." she said,"What's your name?"
"Twilight Sparkle." she said,"What's going on? Why are the dragon ponies attacking us? I thought dragon ponies were a peaceful race!"
"We were," said Mellow Leaf,"Back in the old days, back when Eve wasn't ruling."
"Huh?" said Twilight.
"Well," Mellow said,"Our original leader was named Burning Leaf, my father. Even at the very start, Eve was ambitious. She wanted to be ruler, and I was next in line. But she.... killed my father, then insisted I would plunge the Dragon pony empire into chaos! So she became the ruler, actually, more like a dictator."
"That's horrible!" Twilight exclaimed.
"Eve is an awful mare."Mellow Leaf continued,"Anyone who dared go against her was tortured then killed. She put fillies in work camps, captured Earth ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns, and forced them to be slaves, and she decided the fate of everyone in the empire!"
Twilight's face was contorted in horror as Mellow Leaf went deeper into her story. Then a dragon pony stallion crashed into the ground behind Mellow. The colt was badly injured, then Mellow and Twilight ran over to him. He was sky blue, with a black mane and tail, with a dark blue streak in the middle in that tangle of hair. Like all dragon ponies, he had a sharp horn, and dragons wings.
"Blue Wing!" Mellow Leaf yelled.
"Urggg" said Blue Wing,"There are some strong soldiers out there." 
"Are you okay, Blue Wing?" Mellow Leaf asked.
"Yeah, I will b-" He was cut off when he saw Twilight. She froze. She had no idea what was going to happen. Blue Wing suddenly pounced on Twilight, thrusting her over his head, and she landed with a hurtful crash. Next thing she knew, Blue Wing was standing over her with one hoof on her throat.
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you." He said.
"Blue Wing, get off her!" Mellow Leaf shouted. Blue Wing hesitantly got off Twilight, grunting and murmuring,"You're lucky."
Another dragon pony fell to Twilight's side, as she saw Princess Celestia was hovering in the air where the colt came from, then she landed.
"Twilight, you must go to the Canterlot Caves." Celestia said.
Twilight just stood there, then said,"What?"
"Listen, Twilight." Celestia said,"In the caves, there is a tablet, bring the tablet back up, then read it aloud. Now, GO!"
Celestia used her magic to teleport Twilight, Mellow Leaf, and Blue Wing to the caves.
"I don't see why that miserable excuse for a princess just teleport us into the chamber of that tablet." Blue Wing said.
Twilight remembered this cave, back when the changling army attempted to take over Canterlot, Crysalis used her magic to send Twilight and Cadance here.
"This place is a maze, she probably forgot it's location." Twilight said.
Blue Wing rolled his eyes,"Some princess." 
"We need to find that tablet!" Mellow Leaf said. They walked for hours, but it seemed like days. After walking for so long, they finally came to a chamber. 
"Aim for the Oath, and your desire will become reality." Read a sign. The group looked at each other. Mellow Leaf tilted her head, Blue Wing shrugged, and for a second,  Twilight's eyes went in a derp.
"I suppose we should get moving." Mellow Leaf said. Twilight and Blue Wing nodded, then went on.
After for what seem like days, they finally came to a room with a black stone tablet.
"I suppose this is it." Mellow Leaf said. They noticed the tablet was written in a foreign language.
"What the hell?" Blue Wing said."How are we supposed to read it if we can't understand it!"
"I don't know, but it might become clear if we go on the surface, like a spell of some sort." Twilight said. 
"Twilight does have a point." Mellow Leaf said.
So after more hours on end of walking they finally came up to the surface with the tablet. By then, Canterlot was smoldering husk of blood, rubble, and tears.
"Dear Luna! What happened." 
"Eve..." Mellow Leaf said."I can't believe it!"
But then a torn up, and bloody figure flew across the clearing. It was Eve, looking angry that she might lose this war.
"You...." she said,"You will not... Win!"
Twilight stood up straight, then uttered the words on the black stone tablet. They were now clearly understandable.
"Mention the words of harmony, 
forget your worries and woes.
Remember the six,
and utter the Harmonic Oath."
A rainbow light burst from her horn, then hit the ground. Her dead friends, the rest of the mane 6 were in the spot where the light hit the ground.
"Twi...." A.J said.
"You can do this, Twilight." Fluttershy said.
"You kick this dragon's flank!" Rainbow said.
"We can not let her win!" Rarity shouted.
"Kick this mean old pony's butt!" Pinkie said.
Then they faded, but then Twilight's cutie mark changed. It became the element wheel, with the sun and moon surrounding it. Blue Wing and Mellow Leaf could only dream about that power. Eve was shaking, but that didn't stop her from attacking Twilight once more. But Twilight simply deflected it without moving her hoof. She could practically feel her friends giving her strength. Without flinching, Twilight's horn began to glow rainbow once more.
"Eve, your rein of tyranny ends here!" Twilight said. Then in one swift move, the rainbow lazer shot from Twilight's horn. Eve was devoured in it , then there was nothing left of her, except a smoking pile of ashes. Twilight's cutie mark then returned to normal, and then she fainted.
"Thank you my friends." Twilight said in her mind. Twilight had power thanks to the friendships she has made. But this wouldn't be possible....

Hi everyone! Thanks for reading! Now this story was inspired to me by the cover art. Although Celestia and Luna were hardly in the story at all, I loved how the story turned out anyway!
