Nothing but a bother

A heart, with a note beside it

There once was a little village, filled with happy ponies with happy homes and families, however, in this village there was one without a home. Without a family. She usually slept in the everfree forest, that was located next to the village. The everfree forest was a dangerous place for little fillies such as her, and not a place for young ponies. But she didn't care to much, nothing reallt dangerous had happened to her, and she didn't bother. This little pony trotted downtown to a special place not far away, where she had found a beautiful spot in the sun the other day. When she reached it she rushed up to the big tree and kicked down an apple. She wasn't the best kicker, since she was a pegasus and not an earthpony. Why didn't she just fly up to the tree and pick an apple you ask? Well, she couldn't. Her wing were to tiny and weak to carry her weight, not that she was so very heavy. Her orange fur kept her warm as the wind flew across the field she was on. She walked up to a river, to rinse the apple. But when she dipped it down, her dark purple mane got wet and splashed her in the face, wich made her drop the red apple. She sighted and shook her head, she was so clumsy. Her name was Scootaloo.
Scootaloo faced the water, an orange face looked back at her, and when she dipped her hoof in it the face shattered into millions of particles in the river. The sun was shining bright and spring had just begun. Birds flew high in the sky. Scootaloo looked up with a sight, when was it her turn to fly? The orange filly let out a big yawn, but stopped mid-yawn, when she heard a scream of joy behind her. The sound of hooves going in an up down motion made her froze, who could it be? The sound was uneven, as if there were more than on pony running. She heard four, no, eight hooves of a total, and the sound were to light to be from a full grown pony, so it was obviously fillies. A blister of light pink lifted an apple from a branch nearby and knocked it lightly in her head
“Yahoo, Scootaloo!” a high pitched voice cried. Scootaloo, who was very irritated that she didn’t get to finish her yawn turned around and saw a very excited Sweetie Belle, an inch behind her was Apple Bloom, but with a little less excitement. Sweetie Belles horn stopped it’s magic and the apple fell down as she opened her mouth to speak again, but was interrupted by Scootaloo
“Hi, Sweetie Be…” she began, but stopped as she noticed something different with her friend. Not the magic, it wasn’t news, she had learned a few simple tricks from Twilight Sparkle the other day, and couldn’t stop using her horn.
“Isn’t it beautiful?” Sweetie Belle said with a cracking voice as usual, how much she grew her voice never settled down, she almost sounded worse than a colt
“She has been flicking her butt in my face all morning” said Apple Bloom and nodded at her friends flank. Scootaloo couldn’t believe her eyes. On her white unicorns friend flank shone a mark, a cutie mark… It was in the shape of a heart, with a note beside.
“Wow, it’s amazing, Sweetie! I’m… So happy for you”
She tried her best to sound not all too jealous; Sweetie Belle was in fact her best friend.
“I know it’s before you guys… But we can still be friends, right?” the white filly said, a little worried.
“Of course, Sweetie” answered Apple Bloom
“Yeah, forever” started Scootaloo
“But I was actually in a hurry, so see you later!” she continued and picked up her scooter. She dashed away as her friends waved and called after her.

Scootaloo could not believe it. Sweetie Belle got it, before her? She shook her head, she should be happy for her friend, not angry! But Scootaloo had never really liked Sweetie Belle as much as Apple Bloom, she was so annoying sometimes, and such a crybaby, and now she even has her cutie mark! Everything was unfair. Sweetie Belle could use her magic, Sweetie Belle was cute, Sweetie Belle could sing, and now she even has a cutie mark! What could Scootaloo do? She could ride her scooter and that’s all. She wasn’t as cute as the others, not that she wanted to, she couldn’t get colts to like her because she was “one of them” and she couldn’t sing or play an instrument, she couldn’t fly… Fly, that’s it, fly! Scootlaoo was just an annoying fly, nothing more than an icky little fly. She felt the tears behind her eyelids, and quickly wiped them away. If Sweetie Belle cried, Rarity would make her feel better, or anypony else, because she was cute. If Scootaloo cried, the only one to cheer her up was Pinkie Pie. Scootaloo sighted one more time as she carried on down the street. She felt like visiting Rainbow Dash, maybe she could teach her to fly, that would be awesome, but she was afraid that Rainbow would turn her down.
"Hiya, Scootaloo, aren't you looking a bit sad?" a pink pony asked. Scootaloo got so scared by the pony's random encounter that she fell over and scratched her knee against the ground.
"Oww, wie, that's gotta hurt" the pony continued and helped her up.
"What's trubbeling you, friend?" Pinkie Pie asked after making sure that she wasn't hurt
"Nothing..." Scootaloo mumbled and bent over to pick up her scooter again
"Hey, I know what you need"
"No I just want to..."
"You need a glas of cold lemonade and a cupcake! I'll make you some"
Scootaloo smiled
"Thank you, Pinkie, you are right, I could need something to eat"
"Then come with me, kiddo!"
They went to the sugar cube corner, Mr or Mrs cake where nowhere to bee seen
"They are out eating lunch" Pinke said, as if he read Scootaloos mind
"Just wait here, and I'll be right on baking!" Pinkie Pie said and went inside the kitchen
