//------------------------------// // Hell in the skies above // Story: The Final Solution // by Primary213 //------------------------------// I stood there. Facing the factory. It was so different from the outside. If one didn't know better, they would actually take it as a friendly place to visit. If only it were true. When I walked in, I had seen that we had another shipment of ponies in the waiting room. They were accompanied by guards that were wielding weapons all around them. One pony tried to run up to me, but was stopped by two guards. "How could you? I know what happens here! Please tell these guards to let me go!" The Mare was yelling to me. I had stopped and looked over at her with a lifeless face. "Now why would I do that? You were brought here for a reason. It's my job to make sure you are properly taken care of, and it's good you know what happens here, now you know what to expect." I replied with a smile. I then turned the other way and let the guard take care of her. I walked into the main engineer room where the energy to keep the factory alive was. There were unicorns there that kept the whole beast alive. Two Engineers met me there and described to me what we were going to do that day. We were expecting three more shipments today and I was to watch one of them to make sure all equipment was functioning properly. The older part of the factory was the setting for today's slaughter. One by one, the victims walked in and saw the chamber. Some were pushing and shoving, trying to get past the guards. "Stop resisting or I will kill you!" One of the guards yelled. The pony replied by spitting in his face. He wiped it off and grabbed his spear aimed toward the colt. With one swift jab to the chest, the colt fell to his knees and was moaning slowly. His blood started pooling around him and he looked up at the guard who was now laughing at him. I just watched his foolishness get him killed. His body fell to one side and just lay on the ground, motionless. Two guards picked up the lifeless body and threw it inside the chamber along with the other live ponies. The guards shut the doors and locked them. I walked up to the lever next to the doors and I was writing down some statistics that the machine should reach. When I looked up, I was met with that same mare that asked me those questions. She was behind the glass and was staring at me. I looked back to see her banging on the window and screaming something. Tears ran down her eyes as I extended one hoof out toward the lever. I looked over at her just before I pulled it. She was yelling what I thought to be as don't pull it. I then grabbed the lever and pulled it down. The flames on the roof of the chamber were getting hotter, then the loud boom noise and the mare was completely enveloped in flames. I watched as her body turned into a shadow and disappeared into the flames. The screaming of the ponies had stopped. Silence once more in the factory. "Guards, open the doors!" I said as I was writing some more statistics down. The flames had stopped and the guards opened the door. I peered in to see just a small amount of ashes here and there. Rainbows were starting to be formed on the other side. "Baxter! In my office now!" Rainbow yelled from her office window. I looked up and flew up to her office. I opened the door to see her with official documents from the Pegasus High Command. "Yes Ms. Dash? You called?" I asked her as she looked up from her papers to me. She flew over next to me and handed me one of the documents. "The P.H.C liked your little demonstration so much that they are asking you and I to join a council meeting that is very important and urgent." She replied as I read the document. I looked up to her and smiled. "I take it they are really liking the improvements to the Rainbow Factory? So when is this exactly?" I asked her. Rainbow looked out to the factory and smiled. "Next Tuesday. They said they have very important news to give to all important Pegasus like you and I." She said. I walked up to her and looked down at our creation. "Well, count me in. Ill go to that hearing with you and we shall represent everypony here at the factory." I responded. We both looked at the papers again and I left while reading it still. It seemed we didn't have to bring anything, just listen to what they had to say there. I headed to the oldest part of the factory. We had updated it but it still kept the same medieval ways of gaining energy for the rainbows. It would bring up one pony at a time and stab them once with a knife. The dead or dying pony would then have their blood removed and the body would be dumped into an inferno with the rest. When I had arrived at the observation level that overlooked the old part of the factory. One by one, each pony was brought up to the blade. The engineers would then pull the lever to end the ponies life on the other end. I had flown down to the bottom floor to take over the lever. The pegasus that was using it before me was tired. His eyes were bloodshot exactly like mine. His lab coat was tainted with the blood of other ponies. "This is the third shipment of ponies today. Finish off this round and shut her down okay Doctor?" One guard had said to me. Typically this part of the factory saw about two shipments a day if we were lucky. The first pony was brought up to the knife. I had it lowered to his chest and watched him gaze at the knife in horrer. He was trying his best to get out of the latches that the device had snatched him with. I looked down at the lever and raised my hoof up to it. I looked next to me and there Rainbow Dash stood. She was watching the desperate pony try to escape. She had a twisted smile on her face. She was waiting for me to pull the lever. Her smile was that of one I had never seen before. She found amusement out of the struggling pony who was about to be brutally murdured. But I couldn't judge, because at the time, I had not realized I had the same twisted smile as hers and was anxious to see the blood spill before us. I started to laugh as I pulled the lever down. The knife went in for the kill. Rainbow and I were laughing as blood spilt on us. I looked on me and saw it on my lab coat and fur. Dash stayed there for the full shipment. Time and time again, the knife claimed more and the more bloody we got. We were gaining some type of amusement from it. The factory had altered us, we weren't the same. We weren't ponies anymore. ------------------------- "Come on! You have a visitor!" A guard yelled to me as I sat in my cell. I walked out and followed him down the hall. We reached the visitor room and he used a key to open the door. I walked it and saw Rainbow Dash on the other side of the glass. I slowly walked in and sat down. He closed the door and let us be. "You look like shit Doctor. They nipped you hard this time didn't they?" Rainbow asked as she was staring at me with a serious face. I looked up to her and gazed into her blood ridden eyes. "Yeah, well unlike you, I admit that I deserve what I am getting right now. You dodged the bullet but I purposely wanted a pony like me locked up. You should be in here too." I replied. She looked shocked at what I had said. "You actually sound like a pony now, you've changed." She replied. This enfuriated me. I stood up from my chair and gave her an evil stare. "I'm sorry I'm not a blood lusting robot like you anymore! I don't wake up every morning thinking about blood and murdering millions like you Ms. Dash! You should be in here too! We were forever burned by that damned place!" I yelled to her. She took a step back and gazed into my weary eyes. She knew I was done with that. Done with the killings, done with the blood, done with the rainbows. "Hah! Doctor you've become soft! I should've killed you when I had the chance! I expect you to report back to that factory as soon as your out of here! You got that?" She declared as I stared at her like she was absolutely mad, because she was. "I will NEVER go back to that hell! Mark my words you bitch! I'm done hurting!" I yelled back to her. I got up and left the room. The guard followed me to my cell and pushed me in. I sat back down and just sat staring at the wall once more. My mind was blank. I had no memories of family, friends, or anything else, just...there.
