I woke up on Hilltop Moonlight with Applebloom laying next to me still sound asleep, I looked to check my surroundings, nothing was happening no trees was moving they remained distant as time has completely froze and come to a stand still, Normally you would hear the sound of cockerels and other mutated animals and the citizens talking, but… I heard nothing, just complete silence.
Applebloom than woke up “Dad… what`s the matter?” I then turned my head to Applebloom`s
“Something`s up,” I lifted my head at the sky, the clouds bring thunder and lightning, I quickly got up used my magic to levitate Applebloom onto my wings as I spread them out, I than wrapped my wings around her and I began to run to the town.
The town was distant, peaceful and nothing which could walk existed, only me and Applebloom were the only breathing creatures in this paradox. Just then a shadow portal engulfed in darkness suddenly appeared in my vision, a hooded figure than came out of the portal the figure then spoke in a dark tone
“I`ve come for the girl…” the hooded figure then pulled out a spiked ring which had red markings en crested on the interior The hooded figure then started to spin it around having a fierce look on his glittering yellow eyes, I shouted
“Who are you?” the hooded figure than began to introduce himself
“A denizen of the darkness… a person engulfed in a mystery, now enough talk, hand over the girl before things get violent” I shouted at him
“You`re not having Applebloom!” The dark figure did not seem to listen and then started to walk towards me his eyes focusing on Applebloom
“Give me the girl!” I than made my horn glow and fired a beam of light at the figure.
The figure vanished into thin air and the portal alongside him, then behind me another hollow portal appeared and the same figure came out “It`s not hard just hand her over, i`ll make it quick” I fired another horn at him and then began to run, The portal kept on appearing and dissipating, Applebloom cringing and shaking violently started to cry I spoke to her
“Don`t worry Applebloom, i`m here, i`ll make sure he don`t get you” after that the portal appeared again in front of me I grind ed my hooves to a halt I turned around to give the figure a massive buck. The figure was pushed back into the portal and the portal vanished leaving no trace of the figure or i`ts darkness. Then I noticed the atmosphere move around slightly, another portal opened this time it was a bright silver chrome color, a power armored stallion then walked out of it and placed his hoof on my shoulder, I was breathing at anger and fear of the figure, he took no notice and then said
“I knew Applejack was right all along, you`re strong… Take her in your travels, let her explore Equestria” I than told him
“Why? Who the hell are you anyway?” The figure spoke
“Name`s Applesnack… i`m married to Applejack, anyway enough about me I, want you… to take Applebloom with you on your travels, let her explore the Wasteland, the dangers and the good hear ted side of it.” I replied
“But there is no good heart side to the Wastes…” Applesnack then tapped his hoof on my shoulder
“Show her the good side is having a father like you, spend time together make up for lost time…” Applesnack then left in his portal and time restarted and life began anew.
Applejack woke up from her barn she scratched her head and walked outside to find me covering my wings around a cringing Applebloom, she ran up to me “Full Moon what are you doing up this early and what`s the matter with Applebloom?” I than put my hoof on Applejack`s shoulder
“Things happened last night, I woke up and time was at a complete standstill it was just me and Applebloom, so I walked downstairs with my wings covering Applebloom to make sure she`s safe,” Applejack than turned to a confused face and said
“Go on…” I continued on
“There was a mysterious figure which jumped out of a dark portal and wanted Applebloom, as obvious I protected her with my magic and made the figure leave and then… I saw your husband…” Applejack`s face turned shocked and replied
“Is that so? Applesnack must have realized your potential as a father for Applebloom” I than spoke
“He told me… to take Applebloom with me” Applejack than looked puzzled
“What do you mean?” I then sighed
“Applejack, I have to leave on a quest for Celestia, to find the other Ministry Mare`s, i`ve found Rarity and she`s…” Applejack broke my explanation
“Dead…” I nodded in a shy manner
“Yes…” Applejack then placed her hoof on my shoulder
“You cared for her didn`t you… to protect her” I nodded again
“It`s true, I did care for her. I feel like I have to protect you, my friends and family alike” Applejack than turned to a sweet expression
“Aw you don`t have to be like that sugar cube, I can look after myself, it`s just the rest I care for…” I placed my hoof on her shoulder
“I`ll find them, and also…” Applejack than asked me
“What`s bugging you?” I then responded in a quiet tone “Applesnack told me to take Applebloom with me…” Applejack looked confused
“And… she needs the training of how to explore the Wastes, otherwise she`s gonna be stuck here forever…” I than responded in a calm manner
“You want me to take her with me?” Applejack then nodded
“Yup, take her places which she never got to see, and let her be with her dad, I mean you sugar cube” I nodded as it was the best thing to do
“OK… I will, i`ll do my best to look after her,” Applejack then nodded at me
“I`m sure you will sugar cube”.
I walked to Hilltop Moonlight with Applebloom I placed her down and I lied with her “Applebloom, tomorrow we`re going outside” Applebloom then looked at me
“What do you mean?” I stroked her mane
“Outside, as in the Wastes, i`m going to show you places, and let you be with me” Applebloom then shared a warm smile
“Ah`ll love that! Can I bring Scootaloo? And Sweetie Belle?” I frowned
“No… i`m sorry, but I can`t take too many, Besides Diana`s coming as well! You like her don`t you?” Applebloom then frowned
“Ah guess so… she`s very funny” I smiled at her “Don`t worry Applebloom, me and you will have the best time ever, I promise…” Applebloom looked up at me and smiled
“Pinkie promise?” I responded “Cross my heart hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye” me and Applebloom then crossed our hooves together and we both said
“Pinkie Promise!” we then shared a massive hug
“I love you sweetheart” Applebloom replied
“Ah love you too Dad!” we got up and then began to walk down Hilltop Moonlight, and into New Appleloosa, as a father and a daughter.
