The cold dawn came in, but non of the ponies had dared to go back to sleep earlier. They stayed up, even before the first fading light showed up. In the morning, the ponies had decided to gather in the meeting room. 
Around the room, the sense of concern floated in the air. Every face gave a worried expression. 
CharmingRhythm let out a sigh. "It seem everything is happening at once."
"With going to the city, then finding that node. And now the hybrid attack." BlazingFlair exclaimed.
"Maybe its a sign." SpinningNote had a little enthusiasm of a joke in his voice, to lighten them up a bit, but those words seemed to be true.
"Maybe... actually." EchoBeat said.
"That we need to do something different." HyperBlitz spoke up. "To stop doing the same things over again. We need to take  a new direction. Stop with all this shit, and do something that matters to all these ponies!"
Rhythm dipped his head with agreement, but didn't say anything.
"But what can we do? We need a good idea..." FeatherTune pointed out. "We do know a lot more ponies now."
"Maybe that's it." CharmingRhythm started. "The ponies. We know a lot, and I'm sure they know more. We need to get as many as possible with us! to work together. Yes that's what we've been trying to do, but we need to truly do something! We need to give it a real reason. A group of ponies, as a team, across this dead world. A rebellion against the hybrid rule."
"And it's not just hybrids. We need to get resources back." Blazing said.
"Yes! What ponies don't understand, it's not just the hybrid we have to worry about." Rhythm nodded.
"But they are the main priority." Blazing replied. " And the only way to get rid of them is with our energy and resources. Yes, that's all we talk about, it makes us sick to say it over and over again, but its the truth. I have an idea, if the hybrid are weak to energy, and we need it the most, when ever, and where ever we can, then put energy posts up. Maybe like generators. they could keep hybrids away. They would probably be the opposite of a node." 
"That's actually a pretty good idea." Rhythm's expression brightened. 
"Yeah, I got some ideas." Blazing shrugged.
"But how are we gonna get ponies to know about this?" FeatherTune asked.
"Advertise?" Spinning said, in his cocky voice.
"That's probably the best way." CharmingRhythm replied. "EchoBeat, you know how to connect with ponies online, why don't you do that, get ponies to know out plans." Echo jolted a bit, but Rhythm still spoke. "But after we're done with the meeting."
HeartFelt stepped up a bit. "You know I'm still here."
"Of course." Rhythm said. "Why wouldn't we, because you're not talking?"
"So, should we get started?" HyperBlitz sat up strait. "We need to do some real work! I'm sure we can go out to the camp. I bet the ponies there would be excited about our plans."
"First priority, are the hybrids though." Blazing pointed out. "And to get rid of them, we need to build our team, and our supplies."
CharmingRhythm stepped down from his chair, and let out a breath. "That's true. Hybrid's are smarted then we realized.  There has to be some more half-hybrids out there. Sure we have the energy and weapons, but don't hybrids have that too? They make their own kind of energy, and have extremely powerful weapon. Hybrids are strong, so are we. And they are pretty much our match.But there is one thing that we can use to beat them. It's not energy, and not weapons, even if those help."
"Where is this speech going?" SpinningNote interrupted.
"Shut up..." Rhythm snapped quietly to him, then took his attention back to the rest of the ponies. "It's one thing we have that they don't." Rhythm gazed into the eyes of everypony, one by one. "Emotions." He let out. "Happiness, anger, resent, fear, sadness, trust, guilt... hate, frustration, hope-" Rhythm looked at them again. "Love... that is what will stop the hybrids. Our feelings between everypony. And especially... love. It keeps us together."
"When life leaves us blind, love keeps us kind." Hyper said.
Rhythm nodded, remembering the lyrics that they had spoken in a performance, so many weeks ago. "That is the truth." His voice shook.
HeartFelt smiled, stepped up and kissed Rhythm. He pulled back and looked to the other ponies as his face turned red. 
HyperBlitz  tilted his head. "You know we all love you. We all love each other. We are all in this together." 
Rhythm nodded. 
Hyper smirked.  "I'd kiss you, but that would be weird. "
Rhythm laughed uneasily as his face brightened even more. "Uh, yeah..."
"Id rather just hug you." The pegasus put his hooves around Rhythm and pulled him in close.
The other ponies did the same. "Group hug!" FeatherTune said.
"Group hug is the advancement of the circle of trust." SpinningNote laughed.
As the ponies stepped back, BlazingFlair looked to CharmingRhythm. "So when are we gonna go to the camp? Don't we need to get started? We have to give them a reason to be in a true team with us, and to gather even more."
Rhythm quickly nodded, and bit confused in the moment. "Yes. Echo, stay here, you can talk to some ponies on the computer."
As the ponies were leaving the room, Feather spoke up. "I don't care what you guys say, I'm bringing my guitar!"
