Well we've been planning this for months now Lucktail even volunteered also. I've had this 10 mm pistol in my desk in case of emergencies so I've concealed it in my pocket just in case we are caught by the Overmare`s guards, Okay sneaking out should be the best plan just avoid everyone. Lucktail has offered to start a distraction in the lower power hangers shutting them down its working so far the guards have abandoned their posts apart from the one guarding the door. He only had a couple of modifications on his jumpsuit a few armored shoulder pads. Luckily he had no Armour protecting his face so i aimed my 10mm pistol around the corner going for the head shot but Vinyl grabbed my hoof holding my pistol and shot the guard with the bullet passing through the face.
“I've been wanting to do that for sometime now Stringmane”
Vinyl said with anger expressed on her face I was as you can expect she surprised me, it seems like she matured to the Wasteland I gave her a hug and we then opened the Vault door before we even glanced I told everyone to cover their eyes I knew a little bit of the Outside after all.
Even with my wing covering my face the sunlight still seered into my vision, it was a slight bit painful but it passed away it happened to Vinyl and Record as well,
“Every pony okay?”
I asked being the sudden leader of this group
“Breathing what now hubby?”
Vinyl replied its funny I've had that nickname since Record was born. Record just nodded she’s starting to seem silent now. Probably starting to seem like she’s playing Stealth now she’s pretty good at it.
I took a look around finally without my wing covering my face it was a wrecked Wasteland just as the Vault Dwellers Guide explained it there was a beaten path towards the northeast so I guessed that`s our best lead for now
“Goodbye Vault 71”
I whispered after ordering the group to the path I held my heart wondering what happened to Lucktail… Its best not to question what happened.
The broken path had a couple of vehicles blown up and smoke occurring from the engines and there were signs advertising the Vault’s safety and random caffs dotted around Equestria. Life before the bombs was a true sight to see and things such as Magic and Friendship existed my horn hasn't been working to be truthful. Too many crowded spaces I suppose it will come back to life soon. Anyway enough about that the road seemed to go on for hours and Record is just trying to find multiple ways to entertain herself jumping around when me and Vinyl just walked close to each other
Luckily a town appeared in our vision there was a huge stable in the middle and townsfolk surrounding the middle, they all seemed of different species. This town is awful familiar it just came into my head the town of New Appleoosa! Finally a spot of haven we then marched on to the entrance.
Two armored Unicorns guarded the entrance holding very unique tech One then approached me
“Who are you? State your businesses!” the armored Unicorn stated to me I then replied
“My name is Full Moon and this is my family Vinyl Scratch and Record Moon, we just escaped the Vault seeking safety and shelter” The Unicorn then shook his head at the other Unicorn then said
“You won’t find much safety here but you’re welcome to visit, Continue on” He then held his hoof up to the other guard and he opened the doors.
