//------------------------------// // Lunch Time // Story: Pinkamena & May: Together Forever // by Pinkamena666 //------------------------------// May sat down on the couch and looked at the empty seat next to her. She smiled as she remembered moments with her sister. Just then Pinkamena came downstairs and went into the kitchen. "Morning," the pink mare said cheerfully. "What's gotten you into such a good mood?" "We get married..." said Pinks, her head in the fridge. She then pulled it out and set down a hay burger. "...in two days." May smiled. "Yes, we are... and, I have to be honest... I never thought it'd be you..." The pink mare opened a microwave and put the burger in. "I know what you mean..." she said, setting the timer to 30 seconds. "After everything that's happened to us... even I'm surprised..." May's breath caught for a moment, hearing Pinks talk about her past. The pink mare noticed her silence and looked over her shoulder. "I'm fine, May. Really..." "Fine?" asked the red mare. "You mean you're over it?" The pink mare smiled lightly and nodded. "That old life killed both our sisters... I don't want anything to do with that again..." The red mare got up with a smile and trotted over to her. "You made a lot of progress... I'm so proud of you..." she said, nuzzling the pink mare's cheek. Pinkamena nuzzled back before the two parted. May then leaned in and kissed her, the pink mare kissing back. They held it for a moment before May pulled away. "I love you, May..." "I love you, too, Pinks..." Pinkie smiled and nuzzled her. "So, what are the plans for today?" she asked. "Well... we could go on a date... thing..." May suggested. "I-I mean we're already getting married, but..." Pinkie smiled. "That sounds nice. Where would we go?" May smiled back and thought for a moment. "We could go out for lunch..." The pink mare nodded before tilting her head. "Speaking of food... Our wedding dinner." "What about it?" asked the red mare. "Well, I wanted to invite Zach and Kat, but... h-has Zach been found?" May sighed and shook her head. "Kat's still looking... She's pretty upset..." "Well, of course she is..." said Pinks. "Those two had a thing, didn't they? It's like they were meant for each other." "Like us," said May with a smile, nuzzling her cheek. Pinks smiled and nuzzled back. "I hope he's found soon..." "So do I..." the red mare agreed, before pulling away. "Now... Let's eat." The two mares were seated at one of the more casual restaurants, looking around. "Not that busy..." Pinks observed. May smiled. "Good. Makes it quieter." Just then a waitress trotted over to them. "Need any drinks to start off?" May smiled. "Water, please." The pink mare nodded. "The same," she said, eyeing the ponies in the building. The waitress smiled and left as May eyed Pinkamena. "Pinkie?" she asked. The mare didn't seem to hear her. She then placed a hoof on the mare's. Pinks then quicklky looked at her, but not seeming startled. "You okay?" The pink mare smiled. "Fine. Why?" "Nothing, you... were just scanning the room..." Pinks chuckled nervously. "Oh..." May gently rubbed her hoof. "Still have some of the instincts?" Pinkie smiled and nodded. "Yeah... There's 5 waitresses and 3 waiters on duty, 40 tables, 10 of which are taken, 6 visible exits from the front... and 2 of the lamps need a new bulb." May smirked and leaned back in her chair. "You saw all that?" "It was something I was very good at... I always knew where everything was in any room... and I always planned an escape route." "Pinks, I... don't think you should be bringing this up--" "It's fine, May. Like I said... I'm over it." May gave her a smile and nodded. "Good." The waitress came back with their drinks and set them down. "There you go. You two look at the menu, yet?" "Oh..." said May. "Uh, Not really, we--" "Yes," Pinks interrupted. "I'll have a hay burger with ketchup and fries. May, sweetie... how about a salad? You like those, right?" May smiled. "Mmm... and maybe some fries, too..." "What kind of dressing? Ranch? Cheddar? Ginger? Sweet?" May raised an eyebrow. "Ranch..." The waitress smiled and nodded, taking their menus and leaving, May staring at Pinks. "You remember the menu?" she asked. "When'd you see it?" "When we walked in... " "That was like 5 seconds..." "I'm a quick reader... and a faster learner," said Pinks with a smile. May chuckled. "Wow... You're interesting. What was the color of the dress in the magazine next to the one we picked out?" "Red... No, wait... That was the one below it. The one next to it was yellow." May chuckled and took a sip of her water. "Nice..." The two ate their lunch and joked around, having a wonderful time until it was time to pay the check. Once they did, they got up and left, heading back towards their home. "Well, that was great," said May, nuzzling Pinks. "Mmm... Sure was..." she cooed, nuzzling back. She then sighed. "I really wanna know what happened to Zack..." 3 Years Ago... Zach coughed as he opened his eyes, looking around. He found himself strapped to a chair in a dark room, the only source of light was from a light bulb hanging above his head. "Wh... Where the hell am I?" "With me..." cooed a light voice. Zack looked to his right and saw a pink mare in the shadows, her face hidden. "What?" he asked, shocked. "Pinkamena?!" "No..." said the mare stepping into the light. "Cherry."
