The Eldest

Step One for World Takeover

The next morning when Asa awoke before the dawn, she felt excited. She had talked with Discord the night before so that was a plus. She also learned she was a human and that was just the perfect day for her. Today, she knew she had to actually be a queen and do boring paperwork. She quickly put on a soft purple dress that went to her ankles. It had some lace around the wrists and necklace but other than that the only other important details were the diamonds along the top.

Asa quickly put on her magically soft platinum shoes and ran towards the Dining Hall for breakfast and Sunrise. Silently praying to her mother that Blueblood wouldn’t.

When Asa arrived a mere ten minutes later, she was pleased to find only a few of the palace staff waiting.

“Good morning Silver Tray.” Asa greeted the earth pony stallion walking in thru the kitchen entrance. Holding up pancakes with bits of strawberries inside. He had a silver coat and a short dark blue mane. He was wearing a white chef’s hat and an apron.

“Good morning Your Highness. I hope you find your breakfast to be as expected.” The chef stallion greeted back.

The tray was soon covered in a prismatic magic and slowly moved to be in front of Asa.

“Trust me Tray, I’m sure it will be perfect as all the times before.”

The silver earth pony nodded before going back into the kitchen, the sun rising as he did.

Though Asa was Queen, she felt that she still needed to know the names of the ponies working in the palace. One of the many things she did before the party a few days back was figuring it out.

As she began to cut into the pancakes, the door was opened and two alicorns walked in.

“Ah, how lovely.” Asa smiled. “Both my sisters here at the same time. How often does that happen?” She joked while using magic to reach the small syrup bowl.

Celestia laughed as she took her seat, Luna the same.

“Not often enough.” Celestia commented. “But what it does, I make sure to make the most of it.”

Luna gave a chuckle to her sister while SIlver Tray came back in with the meals of both princesses. “Yes, you do until you have to go raise or lower the sun or bring in Discord, he tends to turn my breakfast into some animal and have it run around the hall.”

Like magic, a flash filled the room and the chimera appeared in the room. The only thing strange was the old fashioned telephone in his eagle talon.

“Did someone call for me?” Discord asked the three sisters.

Asa smiled as she took a bite of her pancakes. “No, but believe me when I say you’ll know when we call you Dissy.”

“Alright-y then, see you later.” Discord flashed away.

When he did, both alicorns turned towards the human that was taking another bite of the pancakes. The Queen of Equestria finally noticed this and looked up at her sisters.

“Fhat?” She asked, the food it hard to understand her. Celestia and Luna shared looks.

“Say tis not so Asa.” Luna gasped, smiling.

“What ith she talking about?” Asa asked, finishing the bite in her mouth.

“You know...” Celestia smiled.

Asa was confused, why were they acting like such teenagers?

“If you’re going to be confusing, then at least tell me why?” Asa deadpanned.

Celestia and Luna exchanged looks and looked warily at Asa.

“Do you wish to tell her Luna?” Celestia asked the Moon Princess.

“Oh Faust no, I prefer if you were the one to tell her Tia.” Luna explained to the Sun Princess.

The Queen of Visions was beyond confused.

"Could you just tell me?" Asa pleaded.

The two sisters smiled. "She doesn't know."

Luna giggled. "No she does not."

Now, she was getting mad.

"Will you just tell me already?" Asa said angrily.

Celestia placed a white hoof over her sister's hand.

"Asa, do you like Discord?" She asked.

The girl flinched back, a little shocked to hear it. Yet she was also a little embarrassed to see her sister's figured it out.

Heat rushed to her cheeks as she nervously scratched behind her neck.

"…maybe."

Now both alicorn sisters went into a small fit of hysterics.

"Okay! Okay! I admit it. I have some feelings for Discord. We get it, you can stop acting like fillies now." Asa scolded as she ate the rest of her breakfast.

The Day continued as normal, unless you counted what happened that night…

When the two lovebirds met in the garden again.

The two met again for what they now believed to be a ritual. Night cool night air filled the garden with the full moon shone from above, small bugs floated around, and tiny stars floated in the sky.

The creature made up of random other parts felt a lightness enter his chest as he noticed the human skipped towards him.

"Hello Asa." Discord greeted.

The girl in the purple dress smiled. It was good to see Discord again, especially with what happened at breakfast.

“Hello Discord,” She greeted as she stood next to the floating Discord. “How was your day?”

He rolled his yellow eyes and gave a wave of his paw.

“I went to see my dear friend Fluttershy, of course her rabbot didn’t like that I was around but I think I earned his trust.” Discord said while practically swimming on the air around Asa.

The Queen rolled her own eyes, trying to laugh at how her newest friend had earned said trust. She didn’t wanna push the matter so she let it slide.

Tonight, there could be no fighting.

Blood Dawn carefully stepped out of the wooden door frame, making sure to lock the door when she did. The twisted alicorn had gotten the finally things for her plan and hid them all in the last place ponies would think to look. To think, she had only one this in the span of two days. It almost felt unreal, but the trap was finally set.

All she needed was the bait...

So many choices, so little time. Could she go as Celestia? No, too many risk. Luna? Just as many if not more. Some random pony? Could work, but there’s a chance it won’t. What about...

Oh, yes. that disguise would work perfectly. Just perfectly.

With a quick glow of her midnight blue eyes, Blood Dawn carefully flew down to the gardens.

Hiding carefully in the bushes, the orange alicorn used a quick spell to turn herself into nothing more than a simple moth. Dawn’s smaller wings took her across the garden until finally seeing the strange couple walking along the maze. She couldn’t hear what they were saying (a part of her said it was the antennae) but Dawn knew that it might help her plans.

She tried to get better sound and received more strange humming sounds. Blood Dawn quickly gave up and just watched them.

They just walked for a while. The human would stop from time to time to laugh or yell something at the draconequus, he would turn a plant into a colorful flora and she would tell him it would be a better idea to hide it (just in case).

Things really got interesting about an hour into Blood Dawn’s spying. The creature that dared call herself Queen turned to the draconequus, now Dawn couldn’t hear the words but she could see the look in Asa’s eyes. The human was nervous.

‘Of course she’s nervous, she took my place! And she’s no doubt working with that thing that killed Mother and Father!’ Dawn yelled, but seeing as how moth’s couldn’t talk no sound came.

Re-focusing on the two Blood Dawn saw a few strange things. The human said more, causing the draconequus to nod. One question caused him to flinch back, but after a moment he nodded. Blood Dawn could see the blush on the Pony Queen’s cheeks when he did.

Rolling her small eyes, she prepared to leave when she saw a sight that made her fall over in her moth form and start laughing. It was just the icing on the evil cake.

Asa had given Discord a kiss on the cheek.

While the chimera floated there in shock, the human waved good-bye. Blood Dawn quickly came out of the laughing fit to rush to Asa’s room in time to ambush her. Once she entered the large room, Dawn turned back to her orange alicorn form and stood a small ways off from the door so Asa wouldn’t see her until it was too late.

Asa couldn’t believe what she had just done. It just happened and she still couldn’t believe it! The topic had just shifted towards her feelings by means she wasn’t sure of and Asa told Discord she liked him...and he said the same thing...and then Asa...Asa...

‘I can’t believe I kissed him.’ Asa thought while the smile she had been wearing remained on her face. ‘Well, it wasn’t a real kiss but a kiss nonetheless.’

Asa had to stop herself from skiping on the way back to her room. She was so excited she felt like she would burst!

When she arrived in her room, Asa closed her door and slide down it to the floor with a smile that would make Pinkie look depressed.

“He said he liked me back...” Asa smiled, unaware of the small hum of magic in the air until something was smashed into her face.

Looking at whatever was doing this, Asa only saw the color orange.
