//------------------------------// // News Travels Fast (Or: What Are We Gonna Do!?) // Story: Ponies In Australia // by Dawn-Designs-Art //------------------------------// The guy at my door had had his phone out, and had recorded a video of Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie, since she had jumped out of the room over Dash to see what we were looking at. She wanted to go and be friends with him of course. Rainbow had finally gotten over her shock, and ran at the door, but the guy had ran to his car and driven away. "Let me go after him! I'll stop him from telling anypon- I mean anyone!" Rainbow Dash pleaded. "No, if someone else get's a picture of you it will only get worse" I told her. "The best thing to do is make sure no one else see's you guys." Rainbow sighed in defeat. "Oh okay." So we closed all the windows and blinds and all sat together in the theatre to watch the movie. Beth and Chris left, since they had to go to work, but Nick stayed, he wasn't going to miss out on hanging out with the mane 6 for anything, plus he was on holidays so he could didn't have anywhere else he needed to be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We watched a two movies before coming out of the theatre. I logged onto the computer to check my Facebook, and found I had more notifications than usual. Looking through them I found that I had been tagged in a video, and upon clicking the link I discovered that the guy and I had mutual friends, and that he had posted his video on Facebook, as well as on Youtube, along with another video someone in the car must have taken of them following Rainbow Dash back to my place. The comments were ablaze with arguments over whether the videos were real or just really good fakes. Most of my handful of Brony friends were messaging me to ask why I was in the video. The video's had been posted and shared on multiple Brony pages on Facebook, even two I was a mod on. "News really does travel fast" Nick said, reading over my shoulder. "What will we do?" "I don't know... Lay low, stay inside?" I replied. Nick thought for a moment then nodded. "Yeah, I guess that's all we can do." The ponies sat watching us. "Twilight, how long do you think it will take you to make a spell to get you guys back to Equestria?" I asked her. "Umm, I don't know, it could take a week or more since I don't have any spell books." she said. "You should get working on it, you need to get back to Equestria before this gets out of hand," I told her. "As to the rest of you, help Twilight if you can, otherwise, stay inside and keep the blinds down." They all nodded in agreement. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The video's were featured the next day on Equestria Daily. They both now had around 20'000 views, and heaps of comments. The doorbell rang a few times during the day, better people thought I wasn't home. I texted Beth and Chris, and they agreed that it would be best if they stayed away for a while. Two day's passed before anything major happened. We were sitting at the dining table, having lunch. Most of the windows downstairs didn't have blinds, I wish they did. We were eating salad sandwiches when Pinkie got one of her Pinkie Sense twitches. "What is it Pinkie?" Applejack asked her. "Umm, it means someones watching us..." Pinkie replied. Fluttershy 'eeped' and pointed at the windows. We saw three people outside, two girls and a guy, all three had out their phones and were recording. I recognised the guy as someone who had come to my brother's birthday party last year, I think his name was Jake. Jake and one girl fled the moment they got spotted, the other stayed a moment longer, getting Rainbow flying towards the door on camera before fleeing, jumping over the fence. Applejack grabbed Rainbow's tail with her mouth to stop her. "Hey! we need to go after them and stop them!" Rainbow Dash protested. "Then what?" I asked. "No, we need to go somewhere else." "My place," Nick said. "It's not as big as this place but we'll fit, plus my housemate is overseas." I nodded. "Okay, we'll leave tonight then."
