Chapter – 3

The subtle glow from sparks of glowing from Violet's horn have started to become less spaced out and now are taking on a full glow. The filly’s sobs have dwindled down as her own eyes look up in confusion to the light on her head.

"Rainbow!"

"Geez I know you're worried but she whoa!" Rainbow's voice is stopped as she rushes over to where you sit next to the glowing filly.

Violet stares up at her horn with her still teary eyes in a silent astonishment.

You on the other hoof are in a small panic as your rushed voice exits your mouth, "Rainbow what do we do? She could hurt herself !"

Rainbow motions her head to her wings, "Do I look like a unicorn?"

"Rainbow?!"

She gives a light laugh as she walks closer to where you sit, "Relax, its normal for a unicorn to get magic when there a filly." She wiggles her hoof a little to Violet as she struggles to continue, "Just use yours and help her get through it. You know its like flying for the first time you just need to be helped your first time."

You shake your head at her comment, "I can't fly!...I mean I don't know how to use magic!"

Violet's horn has started to grow a little bright at your panicked voice. She lets out a tiny wheezing sound as her legs wiggle up to your face.

You stare back at her not knowing what to do, "Rainbow?"

Rainbow starts to show her concern as she holds her hoof from the filly, "You don't know magic? Didn't Twilight go over that stuff already?"

Violet continues to hold her eyes and hooves to you as you try to calm her, "Ya but I didn't want to do anything with it..."

She squints at your comment, "Why?"

You raise your voice a little as your annoyance, "Magic already ruined my life once, I don't want another problem." Violet's horn starts to glow get a larger bubble like glow as the green magic begins to fixate on the her horn's tip.

"Rainbow go and get Spike."

She nods her head as she darts up stairs.

You continue to brush at Violet's mane not knowing what else to do.

After a moment you turn your head to Spikes voice, "...Ok ok i'm up what do you need."

"Spike." You nod your head to Violet's glowing horn as he gets pushed down  the stairs by Rainbow.

"whoa! Violet's first spell?"

Rainbow nudges him as she points, "How do we stop it?"

Violet  now has her head buried up against your chest as you listen closely to his stutter words.

"Well unicorn magic in a filly can be random and...."

Rainbow and you both call out to him, "How do you stop it?!"

"Uh, you can't, you just have to let her do the spell on her own."

You look down to the filly who has her head buried up against you. Her eyes are being clenched shut as she tries to hold her magic from her horn. Your voice is low as you talk, "I...I need to let her do it on her own?"

Spike nods his head.

You hesitate as you look at him, "what  should I do?"

Spike shrugs as he talks, "You need to let her work through it.

You hold your mouth open for a moment as you think over his comment, just leave her to it? "no."

"A unicorn filly needs to  expel their own magic... you have to."

You stare at Spikes serious face, "O-ok..."

After a few moments of deciding you finally build yourself up and stand from the filly's side. As you do this Violet's diaperless body is left alone on the ground and her horn which was staying at a dim green to a new fluorescent green.

Her shaky blue eyes are brought to you as you walk away and stand next Rainbow. You try to take your eyes off of her as you stand away from her; it pains you to see her sad eyes, i'm a horrible father...I can't even keep my daughter safe.

Violet closes her eyes as her head lowers towards you three. You all get a little wide eyed as you watch her motion, oh crap...

Her horn's green bubble that has been forming for the last few minutes now explodes into a low chime as the green swirls roll around where the three of you stand. But unlike the magic you have felt from your own use your body is rushed with a very cold sensation that makes your body shiver. You close your eyes as you hold your head away from the burst in front of you.

After a few seconds the chime is over and you bring your eyes back open. But as you do this you notice a light frost like substance on your and Rainbow's coats.

You quickly ignore it as you look back to Violet, she no longer holds her head in a pain but instead her eyes are a little closed almost like shes tired.
You quickly move yourself over to her as you scoop her up into your grasp, "Violet!" You nuzzle your head to hers as you hold her in joy.

Spike brushes the frost from his scales as he looks Rainbow and you over, "That's not a normal spell?"

You ignore the dragons words as you walk over to the table, "Rainbow lets get her dressed."

Rainbow's kind of in a shock but she follows behind you as you place the easier to handle filly to the table.

After Rainbow has fastened the fresh diaper onto her you lift her back up and place her into her high chair with a sigh of relief. Your mind keeps playing over the magic you have used was all fire, for right now you're cold shivering body is much better then a fiery one.

You stare at the filly with a smile as you brush the frost off.

Violet's face starts to scrunch up. You watch her in confusion as you try to talk in a low baby voice, "What's wrong Violet."

Her head leans back as she takes a gasp of air but the moment is quick as she jerks her head back forward into a sneeze but as she does this her horn glows a bright green and her body is encased in a green mist that makes her disappear with a loud...poof.
