Chapter 1
"Father? Are we going to be ok? Y-you know, are we..... going to live?" The patchwork colt was shaking where he stood. A wave of heat and fear washed over the two as they waited for the inevitable. "Son we're in quite a situation here, but please, have a little faith in your father. Hehe, after all there is a reason we've survived this long." The beast shot a quick grin down to the shivering foal. "Now go hide somewhere, things are about to get a bit....Chaotic." Moments after he found a hiding spot two tan alicorns burst in through the wall. " You are surrounded monster!" The darker of the two shouted. "Surrender now and or we will resort to force!" The two were flying around in circles above the beast. " Surrender? Where would the fun in that be? *Chuckle* No if your not going to listen to me than i have no reason to give you the same courtesy." At those words the monster knocked the two mystic beings out of the sky with just the snap of his finger, or well claw. They crashed to the ground as gracefully as they had entered, except before they had wings. "What did you do to us Monster!" The lighter one spoke. "Oh nothing much, I've just decided to change the tone a bit. I mean *Laughter* what fun is it when you're all the way up there and we're down here?" "We?" Their scowls turned to demented grins as they looked at each other. " So you mean there are more of you?" Their stares seemed to give off a darker more sadistic feel than when they entered. "Oh, it seems I've mentioned to much. Oh well its not like I was going to let either of you leave anyway." Another snap of his claw and the two's horns were missing. A jolt of terror shot through both of the previously all powerful beings as they realize just what their situation is. It was silent for a moment, long enough for the little creature to stick his head out from his hiding spot. "I-Is it safe?" The two ponies stood in shook as the little one came out. "He's not one of you? He's just a regular colt! Hand the foal over at once monster!" The darker on showed fear in his voice this time. "Now do you really think your in a position to be making demands. And besides he no normal pony." The large beast pulled back a bit of the little ones hair revealing to small horns. " What are those!" The lighter one yelled in disgust. "Haha, I see your little princess didn't tell you what your really after now did she? You see this little one here? He is the wonderful creation of yours truly and the princess. I'd love to introduce you to your future ruler. Millennium." Millennium backed away into his fathers shadow. "We were told to search for a young draconequus, the last of its kind. You can't be it, Y-your ancient!" " Yes, yes it's true I AM ancient. But- Wait did you say last of his kind?" "Ye-." He didn't give him a chance to answer. " Does that foul really think she got rid of me that easily?!" Oh thats just hilarious! Yes, the task at hand, despite his appearance young Millennium here is a draconequus just like me. You see these dark bands on him?" The two hesitantly nodded. "These change his form to look like any normal pony, a little trick i whipped up to help him hide in plain sight." The two contorted in fear for a moment. The darker one spoke up. " Why are you telling us this?" A grin that stretched from side to side appeared on the old beasts face. " Because, like I mentioned earlier neither of you are going to be leaving here alive." The old beast snapped his claw. The two shared a quick glance at each other. A split second later both were transformed into two bright pink party balloons. " Hahahaha, Well that lasted longer than i had hoped." The beast said wiping a tear from his eye as the two balloons floated helplessly into the sky. "Are they gone?" Millennium spoke quietly. "Oh yes my son very much so. Now I'm going to do something that wont seem to make any sense but I need you to trust me." He had a rare amount of sternness in his voice. "Yes father, of course." The beast smiled "What a wonderful child you are. It pains me to do this, but if you are to have any chance of living I must do this." "Do wha-?" He didn't give him the chance to finish. He snapped his claw and turned his son to stone. " I'm sorry son, but when the time comes this will wear off and you will be free. Until then you'll be just another statue to admire." A single tear ran down the side of his face. " DISCORD!" Well so much for a precious moment. "Where are you! What have you done with my son! " Discord wiped the remaining water from his eyes. "Oh Tia, I think you mean our son." She turned with a look of pure rage on her face. " What have you done with him!" Yelled the celestial princess. " Oh Tia, *Chuckle* He's somewhere safe now." She looked around in a panic, her eyes met on a lone statue in the center of the ruins. " What have you done to that foal!" Discord held back emotion. " Oh him? He got in my way so i turned it to stone." "Your a monster!" Her face was still filled with rage. " Yes yes, something like that." He would never let her know but after the spell that was cast on Millennium he was both physically and magically drained because of the sheer amount of will it required. She glared at him with burning eyes. " You know seeing this little one trapped in stone has given me and idea of your punishment." " Oh has it now?" He shot her a quizzical look. "Yes." The grave seriousness in her voice shot through him like a bolt of lightning. " I think I'll turn you to stone." His worry faded. " Oh what an imagination Tia. How original." He struck a pose. "Well? I'm waiting?" She looked confused "You don't seem to be taking me seriously? Not like you ever did." She turned away and released a burst of magic from her horn, it struck the tip of Discords tail. Slowly it began to turn his entire body to stone. Inch by Inch. The pain? Unimaginable. But he wouldn't give her the satisfaction of any fear or pain. Right before the stone fully encased him he shouted one last sentence. "Have a nice Millennium Tia." He fell over now as stone cold as his son next to him. The princess walked over to them. " You poor innocent child, this shouldn't of happened to you. Funny you remind me of my....son."
