Not so Friendly Prank

Creepy and Crawly (now with music links!)

Celestia trotted into her room and levitated her crown off of her head to the dresser. After the entire day of dealing with obnoxious and blabbering ponies complaining about different things they thought they deserved, her head was begging for a time to sleep and recover her tired mind. Yawning, she trotted off into her bathroom and turned on the faucet to wash her face. She adored the warm water splashing onto her face and removing any pieces of dirt or sweat from her fur that had gathered in her day.

'Ah, this feels so much better.' She whispered as she turned the faucet off. Levitating the towel off the rack, she brought it over and patted her face to dry off her dampened fur.

Tap-tap-tap.

"Huh?" Celestia turned around at the sudden tapping noise she heard. Whatever it was, it was very faint and light. It wasn't the sound of a pony knocking onto her door, but instead of something scurrying across a surface. After silence for a few moments, she shrugged her shoulders and turned back to the mirror in front of her. "Hmm. Must have been my imagination."

After she had cleaned herself off, Celestia trotted over towards her large bed. Levitating the covers back, she hopped underneath the sheets and pulled them back up on herself. Yawning, she happily smiled at herself for already lowering the sun and preparing the night for Luna. Laying her head onto the pillow, the sun princess closed her eyes and began to allow her to drift into the realm of-

Tap-tap.

Celestia's eyes opened up as her ears picked up the strange sound once again. Sitting up in the bed, her head scanned back and forth in her room looking for the source of... Whatever was making that noise. While it was still faint, the sound was slightly louder than before. "Or it's closer." She sneered at herself. However, she couldn't see a single thing that would have made it. Frowning, she laid back and pushed her head into the pillow in an attempt to clear her head.

After a few minutes, Celestia's thoughts began to clear and allowed her conscious to be able to relax. Her eyelids were becoming nearly sealed shut as the first stage of subconscious dreams began kicking in her thoughts. Immersing herself into her thoughts, Celestia was now sitting inside of the massive dining hall of her castle. Elegantly sitting in her large chair, she happily smiled as the cooks trotted through the doors inside of the back of the large room. Rolling into the room, a massive pink cake lined with yellow frosting made the princesses stomach rumble and-

"Mhmm..." Celestia moaned when she felt the strange sensation of something moving on top of the covers. Rolling over, she attempted to imagine it was just her body reacting to the blankets... Although the sudden feeling of a small weight moving across her shoulders snapped her out of her peaceful dream. Shrugging her shoulders, she felt whatever it was still there, and in fact moving closer to her neck. Opening her eyes, she focused her gaze for a moment and looked down her body. When we did, her eyelids shot open to the site of a hairy brown creature sitting on top of her.

"SPIDER!"

Flaring her wings out, the princess threw the covers off as fast as she could, throwing the large tarantula off of herself. Flipping over, she slammed onto her stomach but ignored the small pain as her eyes saw the hairy bug making its way back towards her. Standing up, she back pedaled to keep her distance from the spider. "Agh! Get away! Get away!"

Grabbing a nearby lamp, she chucked it forward, but the spider quickly moved to the side and avoided the shattering glass, continuing towards the screaming princess. Stumbling backwards, Celestia flipped over the large chair in the center of her room but kept skidding across the carpet. Crawling over the top of the now overturned furniture, the massive arachnid stared its beady eyes at the white alicorn, causing a shiver to move up her spine. "So gross so gross!"

Seeing the small can of hairspray in the bathroom, Celestia had the perfect idea of how to save herself. Quickly summoning the can to herself, she positioned it so the tip point right at the pest and conjured a small flame in front of it. "DIE DEVIL BUG!"

a long stream of fire shot out as the chemicals ignited in a bright flash and raced downwards to the target. the princess grinned as the flames erupted up when they touched the carpet. "Ha! you thought you could get me!? No spider will bite me!"

She held the nozzle down until the can ran out of spray, ending off in a sizzle. Chuckling Celestia deactivated the flame... only to see the spider running through the fire at her. "AHHHH!" she screamed and threw the can at the incoming spider. "YOU ARE A DEVIL BUG!"

"Buahahahaha!"

Celestia's terror suddenly dissipated when she heard the familiar laughter from her balcony. Looking over, she saw Luna on her back laughing like a maniac. The blue alicorn had tears running down her cheeks from laughing so hard. "Hahaha! You see? I told you she was scared of spiders!"

"L-Luna!?" Celestia panted as she looked back to the... What the...!?"

The once moving spider was now still on the ground in a tangled mess. Since it wasn't moving, Celestia could see how the legs and rest of he body was just a rubber toy. Running out from its back were several strings that travelled across her room and out the nearby window. Hovering there was Discord holding his marionette handles with a wide grin on his face. "Oh Lulu, you do have a wonderful sense of humor I must say! We should to this more often."

Celestia's face turned deep red as her embarrassment reached new heights. "You... You worked on this together?"

Luna crawled off the ground and wiped her eyes. "That's what you get for messing with my score record!" She grinned and took off into the air, leaving her sister now wide awake... And a little pissed.
