//------------------------------// // Chapter 29 Super Charge // Story: The Slow Mo Stallions // by gamershot //------------------------------// Long Shot lay on the floor, he didn't want to move anymore. He moaned occasionally, but he was mostly silent. The crafty stallion was planning a way he could get Gavin and Dan back, but it was harder than he thought. It goes without saying that he couldn't do something that had already been done. That meant no pies, no kicking and no throwing things. After deciding he'd been on the floor for too long, he carefully stood up. He was very sore and walked forward very slowly. His face and mane were splattered with pie, making it hard for him to see and walk. The Gala was coming to an end so he slowly made his way home. As he walked he looked up to the sky, a few fluffy clouds floating in the air. That's when it hit him. He smiled smugly, having the perfect plan. He just needed to wait for the right moment. = = = The group of eight ponies woke up in the palace, each in a bunk bed of their own. Rarity was first to wake up and look around, not remembering the end of the night. "What happened?" she mumbled to herself, rubbing her forehead. She stood up, realizing where they were and headed to the en-suite bathroom to wash. Dan woke up next, a headache pounding his brain. "Ow..." he grunted sitting up and stretching his fore legs out. Dan was on the top bunk of a bed, so he peeked over to see who was beneath him. It was Gavin below him, sleeping soundly. He snored gently; his tummy rising and falling with his breaths. He looked so peaceful and cute when he slept, so did all ponies it seemed. Dan saw the bathroom light on, rays of light seeping around the edge of the door. He hopped down onto the floor and trotted over to the door, tapping it gently. Rarity nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard the knock. "Don't come in!" she shrieked. "Oh sorry Rarity." apologized Dan. "Oh, it's ok dear, just as long as you don't enter." said the white unicorn, calming down. "I just wanted to know who was in there." explained Dan, walking away from the door and over to Gavin. Dan sat down next to his friend and smiled happily. He then tugged Gavin's mane gently, wanting him to wake up. "Gavin," whispered Dan, "Gav get up". "Nah..." sighed the sleepy stallion, snuggling into his pillow. "Gavin, come on pal." added Dan. "B, please let me sleep..." mumbled Gavin. "You left me no choice." said Dan with a smirk. Gavin's eyes shot open immediately. "Dan no!" he yelled, but Dan had already begun furiously tickling Gavin. Gavin wriggled around, trying to free himself from the torture. "Ahhhhh stoopppp!" he yelled between pained giggles. Dan eventually stopped allowing Gavin to sit up and hold his sides. "Nice of you to wake us up..." groaned Rainbow Dash, throwing a pillow at Dan's head. The other grumpy mares followed suit, sitting up, throwing a pillow and plopping back down onto the bed. Dan smiled sheepishly and looked at his friend; he looked even more annoyed than the mares. "Why would you do that?!" he asked grumpily. "Because you wouldn't wake up." replied Dan. "I was up! No need to tickle me." pouted the pegasus sadly. Rarity then trotted out of the bathroom, a towed wrapped around her body, one wrapped around her mane and one around her tail. She waltzed over to her bed and sat down to sort out her makeup. "Good morning Gavin, good morning Dan." she greeted brightly. "Nope," grumbled Gavin, "no it's not". "Whatever's that matter?" asked Rarity. "Dan tickled me." Gavin grunted, before standing up and trotting to the bathroom to have a shower. Dan sighed and lay down on Gavin's bed, waiting for the bathroom to be free. Gavin meanwhile, was in the bathroom, very confused. He'd stepped into the shower and stopped in his tracks. How was he meant to turn the water on? The shower had two knobs on the front of it, one for hot water and one for cold. He lifted one of his fore legs into the air, placing a hoof onto the 'hot' knob. It proved pointless because it just slid right off again. "Hmmm." he pondered, trying to think of a way to work the shower. Naturally, he tried using his wings. He just ended up brushing his feathers against it, causing yet more of them to fall off. He decided to try the hoof again, but this time to put pressure onto his hoof. He did so, and managed to turn the knob very slightly before his hoof slipped off again, a tiny trickle of hot water spewing from the shower head. He really had no clue. Eventually he gave up and decided he couldn't do it alone. He walked up to the door and peeked his head outside, Rainbow Dash looking straight to him. "Hey Gavin, you done yet?" she asked with a smile. "Uhm... No actually, I don't know how to turn the shower on." he replied with a shrug. "Oh, let me help you" giggled the cyan pegasus, floating from her bunk and onto the ground in front of Gavin. She trotted into the room and stood in the shower to turn it on for Gavin. "You like it hot?" she asked. "Yeah." he sighed happily. "Okay." she nodded, raising a hoof in the air. She placed her hoof on the centre of the tap and pushed onto it. The centre of the knob pressed in like a button, allowing her to easily turn her hoof and turn on the water. She darted out from under the water, only getting her tail wet. "Darn." she muttered, shaking her tail at Gavin. "Whatta ya doin!?" asked Gavin as drops of water from Rainbow's tail splattered all over him. She giggled at him and stopped to wipe her tail on a towel. Gavin smiled at Rainbow Dash, she actually reminded him of Barbara quite a bit, minus the bad puns. She was really fun to hang out with anyway. "See ya Rainbow." he said happily as she headed for the door. "Bye." replied Rainbow Dash, closing the door behind her. Dan was lying on the bed, bored out of his mind. Luckily, a guard entered the room to talk to them. "Good morning everypony, the Princess is calling you to breakfast if and when you're ready." he explained with a smile. "Oh great!" exclaimed Dan, "I'm starvin' marvin'!" "I think I'll join you," added Twilight, “I should probably speak to the princess anyway.” "Uhm... I'll go too if that's okay..." added Fluttershy. "And meeeee!" yelled Pinkie happily. "And me." agreed Applejack. Rainbow Dash and Rarity however shook their heads. "Imma wait for Gav." said Rainbow Dash with a shrug. "Yes, I'm just going to make sure that I look fabulous before seeing the princess!" chirped Rarity. Twilight nodded her head at Rainbow Dash and Rarity before leaving the room with the guard, Pinkie, Fluttershy and Applejack. Rainbow Dash sighed happily and flew up to her bed. She lay down, here forelegs behind her head. Rarity was still seated on her bed, putting her eye shadow on, very slowly and accurately. Gavin, on the other hand, was about to get in the shower. He'd been listening to the guard through the door, so he knew he needed to be quick in the shower. He stepped in cautiously, not knowing how slippery the floor would be. Once one hoof was inside, he pulled his whole body into the water, warm droplets encasing him. It was the perfect temperature to relax him, and the rising steam soothed him. He tipped his head back in relaxation, exhaling deeply. He knew however, that he couldn't just relax in there forever; he had to actually wash himself. There was a little plastic pouch attached to the side of the tiled wall, filled with bottles and soaps. He looked over the side of the pouch and found it hard to decide what to use. There was body was, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hoof moisturizer and exfoliator. He was quite thoroughly confused. He chose the only thing he ever really used back on Earth, shower gel. He couldn't be bothered with all that other stuff. "Ok, let’s see how this goes..." he mumbled to himself, reaching into the pouch and pulling out the bottle of bright blue shower gel. "I hope this doesn't smell too girly." he grunted, squeezing the bottle against the wall with one hoof, so that the gel landed on the other. He brought the hoof up to his face and inspected it. It smelt good and looked just like normal shower gel. He decided to rub it into his front first, getting his fore legs and neck area. It was hard to balance on three legs, but he somehow managed to do that. He then rubbed his mane with his hooves carefully balancing, using the walls for support. Finally he needed to wash his back and tail. "How in hell am I gonna do this?" he questioned, turning his head to look at his rump. "Haha I have a nice arse don't I?" he chuckled, shaking his flank. Then his brought one of his fore hooves back and started to coat his back in soapy foam. It was going well, until he lost his footing on his other fore hoof. His chin smashed into the ground with a loud thud, making him yelp in pain. Rainbow Dash leapt to the door and knocked on it furiously. "Gavin?! Are you ok?!" she asked worriedly. "Yeah." he grunted, pulling himself up "Good." sighed the cyan pegasus. "I've done worse." chuckled Gavin, making Rainbow Dash giggle slightly. "Well come out now, I need a shower anyway." she said happily. "Sure." agreed Gavin, stepping out of the shower. He rubbed himself against a towel for a while and shook his mane to dry himself fully. When he was satisfied the he was dry, he opened the door and trotted out into the room. "I'm sparking clean!" he announced happily. "Great," said Rainbow Dash sarcastically, "If you need me you know where I'll be." she added before trotting into the bathroom. = = = Long Shot was flying through the skies above Ponyville, scouring the air for thunder clouds. He needed to find some to help with his... plans. He did always keep two tiny ones tucked in his wings, but not only were they very small, but only for emergencies. He continued to fly around frantically. With all the good weather they were scheduled to have, there weren't storm clouds for miles. As he looked around he saw a bright flash on the horizon, his yellow eyes lit up at the sight. "Yes!" he cheered happily, "I'm gonna get 'em so good!" He flew off in the direction of the lightning at top speed, eager to put his plan into effect. When he arrived, to his delight, he saw a very big thunder cloud, dark, grey and angry. He had no fear of being electrocuted as his cutie mark showed his special talent was working with lightning. He hugged the cloud and ripped a large piece from it. It was just darker in colour than he was, and it was spitting yellow sparks at him. He immediately took it back to Ponyville where he lay on it. Now he just needed to wait. = = = Dan was seated at a large table with the Princesses, Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack and Pinkie. There were all sorts of foods scattered over the table, like cereal, toast, and fruits. Dan and Pinkie had a plate stacked full of delicious delights, the other mares on the other hand, had a rational and sensible amount if food in front of them. The Princesses sat at the end of the table on high thrones, both smiling down at the group. "So, how is everypony doing this morning?" asked Princess Celestia with a warm smile. "Good." replied Dan through a mouthful of food. "Great princess!" said Twilight, "thanks for that chat last night, I had a great time". "As did I, Twilight Sparkle, no need to thank me." responded the Princess softly. The door opened and Rainbow Dash, Gavin and Rarity entered the room, Rainbow's mane still a bit wet. "Mornin' everybody." greeted Gavin with a smile. "Morning Gavy Wavy!" returned Pinkie happily. "How art thou this morning?" asked Princess Luna warmly. "Top, you?" replied Gavin casually. "Uhm... We are well." answered Luna, not used to anypony being so casual with her. Applejack tipped her hat to Gavin, Rainbow Dash and Rarity as they sat down. "Dig in everypony, we got a lots of food t' eat." chuckled Applejack, eating an apple. "Yes there is, I don't think we'll mange to eat it all." giggled Rarity, placing a small strawberry tart onto her plate. After they'd all eaten, the Princesses wished them well and gave them tickets for the train back to Ponyville. "Thanks Princess." said Twilight happily, hugging princess Celestia. "Cheers Princess." added Gavin, hugging Luna, thinking that hugging princesses was the norm. Luna accepted the hug, awkwardly patting the stallion's back. Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow and tapped Gavin to signal two things. One: We're going now, and two: Get the hell of that princess. Gavin nodded and broke the hug to join the rest of his group for the walk to the train station. It was around 10:00am when they set off, the streets were empty and Celestia's sun was just over the horizon. They walked down the bendy roads in almost silence, the odd little chat popping up. They were just all enjoying the crisp morning air, and the sound of no pony's hooves but theirs on the cobblestone streets. = = = When they arrived in Ponyville after the train journey, they all trotted away from the station, laughing together at a stupid hypothetical question Gavin had asked them all. "Why would ya even want to know if we'd wipe hundred times to get two thousand bits?" chuckled Applejack, wiping a tear from her eye. "It's just interesting." he shrugged. "How'd you even think if that?" asked Rainbow Dash. "I thought of it in my shower; I should never be left alone with my brain." he replied making the group erupt in laughter once more. As they were walking along laughing, Long Shot spotted them from his thunder cloud. Gavin and Dan were at the back of the group, side by side, with the Mane Six in front. He laughed evilly and silently flew over to them. He positioned himself directly above the two stallions and flew up about two meters from the cloud. He then forced himself downwards, smashing into the cloud. Two bright jets of lightning shot from the cloud, hitting Gavin and Dan directly. The lightning lasted longer than normal lightning; Long Shot had been charging it up. The two stallions jiggled about violently, a high voltage current pulsing though their bodies. When the lightning stopped the Mane Six were turned around, horrified faces plastered onto them. Dan keeled over and fell flat onto the ground, his tongue hanging from his mouth (still breathing mind you). Gavin on the other hand, was now green and had a blue energy field surrounding him. His cutie mark looked that way too. Long Shot leaped from the cloud laughing madly, until he saw Gavin. "Gavin... What's going on?" asked Twilight cautiously. Gavin knew, as Dan shakily opened his eyes to see his friend, he knew what was going to happen, but nopony else knew. Gavin looked around frantically. Dan tried to crawl away from his friend and the others just looked confused. Rainbow Dash heard Gavin mumble something to himself before gulping. "What’s going on Gav?" she asked nervously. "S-ss- super charged creeper..." gulped the stallion. Instantaneously, his body and cutie mark began to flash white, and a hissing sound was heard. It built up over the seconds before with one sentence from Gavin it went to hell. "Fuck you Long Shot." The supercharged pony-creeper then expanded and exploded, blasting everypony away from him screaming. A huge crater was left where he had exploded, Gavin somehow still stood there with a 'goddamnit' face in the centre of the blast zone. "You had to use lightning on a creeper, didn't you Long Shot?" grunted Gavin angrily.
