Light in the Dark Void

The Doctor glared at Discord and Zerum. All sadness within him had been replaced with cold anger. Fire burned in his eyes. Discord was going to die. And he was going to die painfully for what he had done. Nothing else mattered anymore. Only revenge. The Doctor took a step forward and began casually walking toward them, his eyes never leaving them as he continued to only stare with a look of cold heartedness.

Zerum turned to Discord, “I don’t understand, how…?” Discord leaned back and scratched his chin. He then looked down at Zerum, “If I had to take a guess, I would say that my influence was not completely snuffed out whenever the other timeline me tried to take him. It just lay dormant. The mare over there was the only thing keeping it in check. But now that she has been deceased right in front of him, it has fused with his anger. Strange, though, that I seem to have no control over him. He is truly a spawn of chaos and rage.” Discord raised an eye-brow. “If it weren’t for the fact he is trying to kill us, he could have been fun. Oh well, time to end this before he becomes a pest like that mare. Zerum, kill him.”

Zerum nodded, he turned and ran up to meet the Doctor. Just as he was within a few feet of the advancing Doctor, he stopped and grinned at him. “It’s over. My master says you’re going to die. And he is never wrong. Prepare yourself. your blood will stain you fur and if you are lucky, you will make a nice red carpet” As he spoke the Doctor sighed in amusement. As soon as he was within a few inches, he raised his hoof and smacked Zerum at of the way. Zerum staggered in shock before crying out in anger and charging him. The Doctor stopped and rolled his eyes. Just as Zerum was about to hit him, the Doctor turned a bucked him in the face. After hearing a satisfying crack, and a thump from Zerum hitting the floor, he turned back around toward his attacker. He then casually walked up toward Zerum as he tried to get to back on his hooves. Blood poured from his nose. As soon as Zerum us was up, he turned to face toward the Doctor, only to meet again with the site of the Doctor’s behind, followed by his hooves. This time however, the Doctor made sure he made contact with Zerum’s neck.

Zerum felt his vision go cloudy as he found himself staggering back gasping for air. But it only came in shot spurts. He could feel his body failing him as oxygen was deprived from his system. Just before he blacked out, he saw one last image of the Doctor’s front hoof connecting with his face. Then his mind went blank. The Doctor stood over Zerum as he examined his hoof. It was covered in Zerum’s blood. He then shrugged his shoulders as he wiped his hooves off on Zerum’s coat. After making sure he was presentable again, he turned his attention to the amused draconicus.
“Well that was interesting. So you defeated my tool. Now you think you are going to kill me; the embodiment of chaos?” Discord let out a vicious laugh. It rang out into the Void and continued on for a few moments. The Doctor just stared at him; a glazed look was all that he gave him.

Discord ceased his laughter when he caught the Doctor’s look. “Oh, please don’t tell you lost all emotion entirely. It would be at least a bit more entertaining if you gave me a look or fear before I kill you. Or better yet, the look you gave to the mare a killed a while ago. That look was priceless.” Discord grinned when he saw the Doctor flinch at the mention of the light grey mare. Discord then raced forward until he was inches from his face. It was then that he noticed a strange glowing object in the Doctors mouth. He chose to ignore it for now. He was going have one last laugh. “So you think you can really hurt me? Aside from a lucky bite, I say you don’t have a whole lot of hope of doing much to me. But I will tell you what; I will allow one free shot at my body. Take your pick. But chose wisely, I am only going to allow one shot.”

The Doctor set the glowing object on the ground. He then looked up at Discord, “One shot is all I need. You know that mare wasn’t the only companion on this trip.” Discord raised in eye-brow in confusion. The Doctor smirked as he continued, “This fine companion has been with me since the beginning. She is one sexy thing and tends to hold a bit of a grudge. By the way, heads up.” Discord heard a strange noise behind him. He turned just in time to see a blue box slam into his face. Discord fell onto his back as the blue box flew over him and landed right next to the Doctor. He held up a hoof and put his ear against it. He then turned to Discord, “Bad news…She hates you. Good news…You’re the first creature to ever be bitch slapped by her.

Discord rose back up onto his feet. He rubbed his nose trying to dissipate the throbbing pain the blue box had given him. He had seen it before and knew what is was and what it did. He did not however know that that thing had a personality. Let alone that it was good hitter. He was just about to return fire when the blue box began to disappear. Discord looked around and back at where the blue box had disappeared. “Where…?” Before Discoed could even begin the though process, the blue box appear behind him, slamming into the back of his head. Discord fell, slamming his injured nose against the floor as the blue box disappeared into the darkness. As Discord shakingly lifted his head, he saw the Doctor was just a few inches in front of him. The Doctor grinned at him, “It’s called the TARDIS by the way.” He then flicked his hoof right into Discords noise.

Discord stumbled back clutching his nose, just as the TARDIS decided to take another swing at his head. Discord held his head and nose in pain and found himself swatting the air, trying to take out the TARDIS as if it were an annoying fly. The Doctor casually walked around him, laughing as Discord continued to miss over and over again. Blood was starting to form from his nose and mouth.

The Doctor was so wrapped up in amusement; he didn’t notice Derpy until he literally tripped over her. Slowly picking himself up he glanced back at the light grey mare. Her eyes were closed and tears of blood ran down her face. Her wing was mangled and in a very bad angle. Her legs where left in a bad position and her fur was messed up. She appeared to have a few broken ribs. A breezed past over her stomach causing it to rise and fall.

Wait there isn’t any wind in the Void.

The Doctor’s hearts nearly stopped. He quickly bent down and but his head against her stomach. And he waited. A loud screech filled the air as Discord bellowed in rage as the TARDIS swiped him the back. “Hey,” the Doctor turned toward Discord, “would mind keeping it down for a moment?” Discord turned toward the Doctor and glared at him, only to be blindsided by the TARDIS again. Discord turned a spit some blood out of his mouth before going back to swatting again.

The Doctor took a deep breath and bent down to listen again. ...Bump. It was small and quick but there none the less. The Doctor could not believe his ears. Yes she was dying, but she wasn’t dead yet. The Doctor closed his eyes for a moment as he pondered what to do next. Just then he heard a loud crack. The Doctor turned just in time to see the TARDIS crash to the ground. Discord had finally gotten a lucky shot. The Doctor stared at the TARDIS as it lay on its side. He reached back a produced his sonic screw driver from his pocket (still trying to get used to having them on his body). He pointed it at the TARDIS and a few bright flashes later, the TARDIS had disappeared. He then stowed his screw driver away as he turned toward Discord. The creature was just now getting a second wind.

Discord stared down at the pool of blood at his feet. He then wiped the blood off his face before turning toward the Doctor and suprisingly calmly saying, “I am going to grind your body into dust and drink whatever is left. Or better yet, I just crush you slowly here and now.” The Doctor then turned back to Derpy. Even as he Discord was making his way toward him, the Doctor did not bother to move or do anything else. He just sat there and wraped his hooves around his companion as he embraced Derpy’s near lifeless body. She felt so cold, even though his body was becoming warmer. He turned his head and whispered into Derpy’s ear, “I’m sorry Ditzy. But it is time to wake up.”

Discord was now right behind the Doctor, raising is foot ready to crush them. But before he could bring it down he was blinded be a flash of light. Discord stumbled back as he held up a hand to block the light. In such a dark place, light filled the air. Discord stared back in amazement.

The Doctor and the grey mare where surrounded by a gold aura.
