Chapter 5


Preparing for the best night ever Part 2


(Suited for Success)


It was five weeks left until the Grand Galloping Gala begins and Scott was around helping Twilight in the Library sorting books while Spike was doing tea. When it’s time to have a break Twilight was telling Scott about Rarity making dresses for each other for the gala and decided to put on a fashion show but what happened with the show that they did two days ago which became a disastrous wreck, Scott already knew about the show since he brought Hoity Toity from Canterlot and helped a unicorn who is a DJ called Vinyl Scratch (DJ PON-3) with some of the music and lights. 

Scott said with disappointment, ‘you should’ve been pleased with the first dresses that Rarity made but no, you and the others want it in your own way and made Rarity a laughing stock, an embarrassment to her career and her only chance to get her work famous in not just Canterlot but all of  Equestria as well’. Scott knew what he said was deep and harsh but it was the only thing he could say while Twilight went up to Scott and cried in his arms. Scott hugged and calmed Twilight down and told her he was sorry for yelling and that he did something yesterday and wanted her to bring her friends here at the Library and also said ‘when you get them here blindfold yourself and the others until I say you can open them’. Twilight nodded and went out of the Library to get her friends, while Scott smiled as he rubbed his hands and prepared the surprise for them.

When Twilight brought her friends into the Library while having them and their eyes were blindfolded and waited to hear the word from Scott. Scott said to take the blindfolds off and the girls saw Scott with a bandaged left hand and a big white sheet covering something behind him and wandering what’s underneath the sheet. 

“I did this all day yesterday, but it wasn’t much to do, so I hoped that you like them.” said Scott while unveiling what’s underneath the sheet with his right hand.

The girls were shocked what they are seeing, especially Rarity. What they are seeing are the first dresses that rarity made from the beginning and a sixth dress for Rarity as well, they were happy while they were awing at the dress Scott went to the guest room while Rarity slowly followed behind. In the Guest room Scott sat down next to a desk rubbing his left hand then noticed Rarity came into the room, she went up to Scott, looked at his hand in bandages with a bit of blood and saw all the designs on the desk especially the design of her dress was something. Thinking all of that work he has done to make them all like they were. She looked back to Scott’s face in tears coming out of her eyes. Scott looked at Rarity confused.

“Are you alright Rarity?” said Scott.

Rarity jumped on Scott’s lap and hugged him with tears of joy.

“I didn’t really know how to finish my gala dress and you manage to do all this, I thank you and thank you for fixing the other dresses as well.” said Rarity while saying thank you and kissing his cheek a few times.

Scott tried to speak but he went red from the hugs and kisses from Rarity. In the middle of that he remembered something, he broke off the hug and went to the others in the main room of the Library. He cleared his throat for the others turn to him as makes an announcement.

“Hang on for the moment Girls, this is only part of the surprise.” said Scott with a smile while they quick-turn their heads to him.

“What!” the girls said in unison with eyes wide opened at Scott.

“At Rarity’s place in the main room is a stage prepared for you all to do another fashion show with these dresses and Spike is bringing Hoity Toity to the place after I asked him to give you another chance, so go now, break a leg and get dressed, because it’s almost show time in 10 minutes.” he said to everypony in the Library while pointing to the Library clock.

The girls took their dresses and start running to the Boutique while Rarity kissed Scott on the cheek once more and then run off to catch up with the others. Scott starts to go red again and went to bed in the guest room from all that work he did for to cheer up Rarity’s problem then went to pick up a book and laid down on the bed while hugging it as he sleep with pride.

After the show Rarity came with Twilight & Spike for a sleepover at the Library and to see if Scott was still here. Spike found him asleep holding a book in his arms in the guestroom and called the girls quietly. Twilight found a note on the door when Spike and Rarity got to the door. So Twilight, Rarity and Spike read the note and it said.



‘Dear Girls & Spike

If you’re reading this note that means I’ve become so tired from all the work yesterday remaking the fashion show, fixing all of the dresses that I put together and using what’s left to make Rarity’s dress so she can go to the gala for to show her work to anypony there. 

Also Rarity, if you’re thinking to make me a suit for the gala as a thank you present in return, then I think not. I’ll be there in my armour without the helmet plus I’m protecting the princess at the gala and I can’t do my job in a suit anyway, goodnight you all, I’ll be leaving tomorrow for to get ready. See you there.

Twilight and Rarity wondered how he knows that it be them reading the note, then both Twilight and Rarity went quietly over to Scott while giggling quietly and with them standing on each side of his face; they both kissed him on the cheek causing Scott to turnover and blush while the book came out of his hands, which they thought that he was gonna wake up. They giggled again and Twilight picked up the book and was surprised what’s inside it. Rarity and Spike came to see what was in the book and they saw drawings of themselves, their other friends and the Princesses also they have some kind of signature with three letters (SB-J) on each drawing. There were other drawings of them in clothes beside the gala dresses as well. They were surprised that Scott had such an artistic talent and put the book on the desk and decided to let him be. While they left the room and Rarity look back to the sleeping human thinking how he can draw them at the right detail and they only met in only a few weeks. Then she let it be for another time and looked at Scott again.

“Sleep tight, Darling” said Rarity while closing the door.
