The five had gone through rigorous amounts of training and had "become one". There team was unstoppable and they knew nopony could stop them, even Chrysalis. They couldn't reach their full potential because of the fifth missing member, Rainbow Dash. The Doctor had shared his intellect with the rest and they had battle plans and special moves that were initiated by call signs.
"Ok, now that the three weeks are over, we have an advantage vs. disadvantage situation here." The Doctor said to the other three ponies. They all looked confused.
"What would those advantages/disadvantages be?" Daring Do asked. The Doctor walked away from the three and took a deep breath.
"Well, we already know the advantage is that we can function like an orderly team with no errors. The disadvantage is that Chrysalis has had three whole weeks to plan out what she will attack and whom. Also, she can be anywhere, we have no idea where she could be. Ponies, we will be fighting an uphill battle from here on out." He replied to Daring Do. They all started to realize what the Doctor was talking about. The silence in the room was broken by a door opening and two royal guards coming in. The Doctor walked up to them and they saluted each other. "What is the sit-rep on the situation?" The Doctor asked the guard.
"Well, our recon groups have found where Chrysalis is held up. She is in the Everfree Forest. Some of our recon guards said they spotted her there and there was some suspicious activity inside the forest that is linked to her." He replied. The Doctor was scratching his chin with his hoof as he heard this.
"Ok thank you for this information." The Doctor replied. The guard saluted him and left. The Doctor turned to the other three and was thinking of a way to approach this situation. Suddenly, the Doctor's face lit up and the silence was broken by him stomping his hoof on the floor. "I got it! A plan of attack!" He yelled in the room,startling the other ponies.
"Care to explain commander?" Mare Do Well asked him as she stepped forward to hear what he had to say. He looked over at her and cleared his throat.
"Well, as you know, the Everfree forest is not as big as most ponies claim it is, so this means that we contain the element of surprise on her. To her knowledge, she must still think we are planning to attack her and is probably mounting a counter attack against us. We can stop the if we take out the leader, and how you ask? We use her confidence and powers against her!" The Doctor explained to the other three. They all started nodding there heads, signaling that they knew what he was saying.
"But there is one factor we haven't counted in, Rainbow being controlled by her. How do we get past that?" Spitfire exclaimed. The Doctor smiled when her heard her say this.
"I'm glad you brought that up. Now as good and hard working Rainbow is, she is arrogant and won't give up a challenge. So we must simply distract her to the point where she only is worried about the one pony creating the distraction. Sound good?" He replied to Spitfire and they all agreed and were prepping for the journey to the forest. When they left the castle, the Doctor was assigning jobs to the three ponies. "Spitfire, you will be in charge of the distraction process with Rainbow. Mare Do Well and Daring Do will attack Chrysalis any way they possibly can, remember work as a team and don't leave anypony behind on this one. Now for me? Lets just say I am going to place the final touches on this mission." The Doctor said to the three. They all understood everything, except the last part.
"What do you mean when you say placing the final touches on the mission?" Mare Do Well asked him. He just let out a short chuckle and continued forward. They all looked at him confusingly, but decided to just follow him to the forest and find out there. When they arrived near the outskirts of the forest, there was definite Changeling action taking place outside of the forest. There were changelings outside of the forest and around the outside watching for anypony to come in. The four were seeing this through binoculars from a distance away.
"So, what's your call Doctor?" Spitfire said to the Doctor as she put down her binoculars. He kept looking through his binoculars and took a deep breath.
"Well, it's nice that you asked that. Remember how we said you are the distraction in this op?" He replied as he smiled, still looking through the binoculars. She sighed and her wings were ready for flight. She flew up and started doing tricks in the air that the Wonderbolts would do. The Doctor noticed that some of the changelings were watching her as a distraction. "Nows our chance! We can attack now!" The Doctor said as he put away his binoculars. The two other mares did the same and followed him. They all were running at the changelings and they surprisingly hadn't noticed them. "Attack plan delta, Daring Do take your position." The Doctor said to the other two.
"Got ya loud and clear!" Daring Do replied. She extended her wings out and started to fly towards the changelings that were flying. By this time, the changelings knew that an attack was happening. They looked over at the three, but it was too late. Daring Do struck the four in the air and they hit the ground knocked out. The Doctor had three surround him and as they jumped toward him, he bucked one in the face and ducked just as the other two were about to hit him. They collided and hit the floor next to him. Mare Do Well was preforming fast, yet painful, techniques and was jumping from one hostile to the next. She was surrounded by five and she slid under four and hit four of them up into the air, one for each hoof.
"Daring Do, finish em!" She yelled as they were frantically trying to get back on the floor. Daring Do saluted her and flew as fast as she could towards the four and hit them all one by one to the floor. They were all dazed and knocked out when Daring ado reached the floor.
"Nice team, you executed that perfectly. Spitfire you may regroup with us now." The Doctor said as he looked over at Spitfire. She flew over to the three and landed next to Mare Do Well.
"That was awesome! We did amazing! I can't believe that actually worked!" Spitfire yelled as she landed and was laughing a little bit.
"I don't mean to be the one with the bad news, but that was just the first outside force. Who knows what's lurking in the forest waiting for us. Good news is, we weren't spotted from the inside and these ponies didn't call for reinforcements so we still have. The element of surprise. We can sneak past the patrols on the inside of the forest and get directly to Chrysalis if we play our cards right." The Doctor replied. The other ponies agreed and were surprised on how well the Doctor knew what to do.
"Damn Doctor, if we had listened to you since we first met you, we could've been done with this mission last week!" Mare Do Well said as they all started to make their way into the "changeling forest".
