A Big Problem

The Final Chapter

Me and the other mares sat back at the house. We were worried. Pinkie Pie had been wounded badly and may not even make it. It was a worrying ordeal. We sat there for what felt like hours before a bright light came out of nowhere. I was almost blinded by the shining white flash. Once my eyes adjusted I noticed a large pony standing there elegantly.

“Princess Celestia!” Twilight exclaimed rushing over to her mentor.

“Hello again, Twilight!” The alicorn replied hugging her student.

“Why are you here?” I asked. Celestia looked at me and the other mares sadly.

“It’s Pinkie Pie. I’m afraid she’s in trouble.”

All of us stood there in silence. Fluttershy was on the verge of an emotional breakdown.

“It’s my fault. It’s my fault. It’s my fault.” She continued to sob those same words over and over again. I looked at Celestia.

“So what do we do now?” I asked

“We need to go to Equestria. If Pinkie dies it’s better she has her friends with her.” I nodded. The alicorns horn began to glow brightly. A bright white beam shot out of the tip and began to swirl in the air. Soon a glowing hole was floating in the air. A portal to Equestria. The princess walked up to it and looked back at us.

“We have to go...now.”

The hospital was a cleanly place. Every wall was completely white. Nothing else was on them. They were lined with beds full of sick ponies. But there was only one bed that mattered to us. We walked towards the bed opposite the double doors, slowly. There was slow beeping all around us. We all gathered around Pinkies bed. I looked at her sadly. Celestia glanced at Fluttershy who looked ready to bolt back out the door and never look back. Pinkie Pies eyes flickered open and looked at each of us individually. When they landed on Fluttershy, however, the pink party pony squealed in fright and Fluttershy turned and ran. I sighed.

“I’ll go after her.” I ran after the yellow pegasus. I needed to explain everything to Pinkie. But first...I needed Fluttershy.

I found her sat on a bench sobbing. I felt sorry for her. I knew she could never confront Pinkie again. I walked up to her and sat on the bench.

“Your friend could be dying and you’re just sat out here crying?” I needed to show her what she was doing. “You need to go in there and tell Pinkie what happened. Tell her the truth.” Fluttershy looked up at me, tears streaming from her eyes.

“I can’t.” She replied. “I could’ve killed her. She thinks I did it on purpose. She could never forgive me.” I looked at her sadly.

“Yes you can and yes she will. If you explain it she will forgive you.” Fluttershys eyes lit up when I said that. She got off the bench and rushed back into the hospital. I watched her as she disappeared through the doors.

I watched as Fluttershy explained what happened.

“...I thought you were somepony else so I got the nearest thing I could to defend myself. I turned around, not looking who was there, and accidentally hurt you.” Pinkie Pie stopped panicking and put her hooves around her friend. I could see the pain on her face but she fought it. I smiled. Pinkie Pie suddenly let go of Fluttershy and fell back onto the bed with thump. My eyes widened. There was a high pitched beeeeeeeeeeeeeep. All six mares began to cry. I just stood there, watching sadly. I had nothing to do with this. I just got into it all by accident. Celestias horn began to glow brightly. Twilight looked at her mentor with teary eyes as she lowered her horn to Pinkies forehead.

“Princess, what are you doing?” Pinkie was now surrounded by the light. Twilights eyes widened. “Oh.” She smiled as the light began to slowly fade. Pinkies eyes flicked open. She looked around at everypony surrounding her.

“I-I’m alive.” All of us nodded. Celestia smiled.

“I used a spell. An alicorn can only use this spell once. I hadn’t used it yet so I decided this was the right time.” Pinkie Pie smiled at the princess. Her smile changed to a puzzled expression.

“I can’t feel any pain.” She put a hoof to where the cut should be. Then she realised. “Oh! It heals as well!” Celestia smiled. She turned to look at me.

“We better get you home.” She said. I smiled.

“Yep.” Her horn glowed again. The same happened. The portal glowed brightly. I turned to face the others. “I guess this is goodbye. It’s been fun. Besides Pinkie Pie almost dying and Gummy always biting my leg.” I smiled. I turned around to face the portal. I stepped forward. I stepped back into my world. It was time for my life to go back to normal.

The six mares watched as Jake walked through the portal and out of their lives. Pinkie had a strange look on her face. It was like she was about to dive at something. It all happened in a split second. Pinkie dived, the other mares tried to grab her and missed. She disappeared through the dark hole.

“Go after her?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“We’re gonna have to.” Twilight replied. The six mares slowly walked towards the portal. All of them disappeared at the same time. They had no idea what Pinkie Pie was doing. All they knew was that they had to stop her. A chestnut coloured stallion happened to notice them. He stared at where they disappeared with a surprised look on his face. They portal began to wave. He didn’t even think he just dived. It was like he was pulling it with him. As soon as he hit the hole it began to collapse in on itself and disappear. Nopony else in the hospital seemed to notice it. They just went on with their work.

The End?
