"Let the games begin!"
This is where our chapter both begins and ends. Let the games begin.
The Announcer Drawing, the teams, and the rules. These are what our pony friends call "Event 0". And so shall we.
1. First up is the announcer drawing.
Princess Cadence held up the hat (Applejack's, in case you're wondering). She reached her hoof in.
"Fluttershy and Derpy!" Fluttershy's and Derpy's friends whooped and hollered. The other ponies just clapped politely.
"Me?" Fluttershy asked. When she had signed up -which as I said was a very brave thing to do- she hadn't expected to be chosen. After all, there were probably hundreds of ponies who signed up. Right?
"Yes, you Fluttershy. I'd say you didn't have to, but it seems you and Derpy were the only ones to sign up!" Cadence said.
"Oh, well, in that case, I'll do it," Fluttershy said.
Rainbow Dash slapped her head. Oh boy, were they in trouble. Fluttershy didn't just have to tell what was happening in the games, she also had to announce the standings and rules! (Rainbow thought -and hoped- Derpy would do most of the announcing.)
Pinkie Pie smiled. That sounded fun!
Applejack laughed. It was an uneasy laugh. This was going to be... interesting.
Rarity whispered to Fluttershy, "I'll trade places with you." Fluttershy shook her head. She knew she had to do it. She had promised Derpy.
Twilight sighed. Guess that means I'd better give her the present I got her for Hearth's Warming Eve early.
Cadence walked over to Shining Armor and whispered something in his ear. He nodded. "And we'll help you announce," Cadence said.
2. Next are the teams. Each of the teams have names and numbers.
Announcer(s): Fluttershy and Derpy
Team 1- The Elements of Harmony: Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash
Team 2- The Candy Lyres: Bon Bon, Lyra Heartstrings
Team 3- Lucky: Star, Lucky Horseshoe, Moondancer
Team 4- The Cutie Mark Crusaders: Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Babs Seed, Big Macintosh
Team 5- Orange Oranges: Big Orange, Orangejack
Team 6- One-Pony-Band: Blue Cotton Candy
Team 7- Blue Sugar Sisters: Minty, Blue Frosting, Candy Turquoise
Team 8- Party Ploppers: Green Garden, Pink Cotton Candy
Team 9- Flim Flam Brothers: Flim, Flam
Team 10- Rich Silver Tiara: Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Filthy Rich
Team 11- Carrot Punch: Carrot Top, Berry Punch
Team 12- Cherries: Cherry Jubilee, Cherry Strudel
Team 13- Shiphirre: Shinity, Sapphire
Team 14- The Fashionistas: Fancy Pants, Fleur De Lis, Photo Finish
3. Finally, there's the rules.
Now, as Fluttershy is very quiet, and it was her to tell the rules, I'll tell you the rules.
There are 4 types of games- Everypony, Earth, Pegasus and Unicorn. If you don't have the correct type of pony, 5 points are automatically added to your score. For example, The Candy Lyres does not have a Pegasus. So when there's a Pegasus game, 5 points will be added to their score. Of course, they will not play Pegasus games. There is one big game for each type of pony, including Everypony. At the end, the 5 teams with the most points will play one final game to determine the winner. Each of the games will have their own rules.
It's time to move onto the first event. So...
