//------------------------------// // The Greatest Princess Gamer In All of Equestria! (Part 1) // Story: Meeting Gamer Luna! // by PathOfTheAwesomePie //------------------------------// "It was nice of you to show me around Canterlot, you know... without any ponies asking questions about me..." Alex said as he approached Celestia's palace where the royal guards stood. "Of course, Alex, the princess is modest in every way in introducing a new being into Equestria!" Twilight said happily. "I believe Twilight is right, I am honored that you have come to our wonderful world." Princess Celestia said as she raised her hoof to signal the royal guards to let us through. The guards saluted and opened the gates and Twilight, Princess Celestia, and Alex walked into the royal hall where there was a throne that Celestia supposedly sat in. "W-what... you... honored by ME?" Alex said, pointing to himself and then at Celestia. Princess Celestia nodded and looked at Twilight. "Twilight...thank you for welcoming Alex to Equestria on behalf of everypony." Celestia stated. "Of course princess, I'd always be happy those who are new around our world!" Twilight said with a blushed face.Twilight and Princess Celestia laughed together and Alex laughed along, then we heard a large "BOOM" at the top of where we were standing. "What was that?" Twilight asked as she lifted her hoof up in shock. Princess Celestia stayed silent and gave a very displeased look. "Umm... Something wrong Miss Celestia?" Alex asked looking at the ceiling of the royal hall. "I have a hunch of who just made that racket..." Celestia said as she shook her head as if she was disappointed in something. Just then, two guards came from up stairs and stood at attention."Ah Princess Celestia, ma'am, were sorry for the small disturbance it was --" the guard was halted by the raise of Celestia's hoof. "I know... thank you for informing me." Princess Celestia said as she gave a slight nod and the guards darted back upstairs. "Umm... Alex said, standing near Twilight. "I'm sorry for that huge...sound, seems my sister is having a hard time with her "royal" doings." Princess Celestia said as she started out of the royal hall to go check. "Ah, Princess Celestia, do you need help?" Twilight asked in a rush. "Thank you for the offer Twilight, but... I'm afraid Fluttershy and your friends need help on watching Discord's behavior on restoring the lost crops in parts of Trottingham." Celestia implied. "Oh, I see, well if you think that's best, I'll go and do that!" Twilight said trotting out the hall past Celestia. "Take care Princess and Alex!" Twilight said as she dashed out of the castle. "Who's this Discord person... never met the guy... or girl." Alex said as he put his hand up to his chin and thought of how Discord may look like. Again there was a loud rumbling noise upstairs. "Okay that's it..." Celestia said as she trotted upstairs. "Uh, h-hey, Miss Celestia, where are you going!?" Alex shouted as he followed her. He rushed upstairs where he saw Princess Celestia was talking to her royal guards who were positioned on opposite ends of a door that had a large booming sound coming from it. "Wow sounds like someone's having a party or something in there..." Alex said. Princess Celestia was done talking to the guards and walked over to me, she sighed. " Something wrong Princess?" Alex asked. "Yes, my sister is having a bit of a temper with her... "duties"." Celestia said rolling her eyes. "Hehe...duty." Alex said laughing under his breath as Celestia looked at him funny. "What seems to be the problem then?" He asking looking to the side of Celestia to see the closed door. "Want me to go check on her?" He asked hesitantly. "No, no it is alright hopefully she'll--" Celestia's speech was interrupted by yet again another large booming sound. "Yes, please, yes..." Celestia said with a twitch of her left eye. Alex looked at Celestia as she marched towards the guards to give them the word that Alex was heading inside, they both looked over at him. "You sure you wanna do that, human?", asked one of the guards. "Yea, if its to help Celestia, then I'm up for it!" Alex said moving in front of the door to Celestia's sister's room. "Hey, how IS your sister like anyways?" Alex asked after taking a very deep breath. "Ever since she's come back from being banished off the moon..." Alex interrupted Celestia's explanation,"Why would she be on the moon, IS SHE AN ALIEN!?" Alex asked. Princess Celestia stood silently, glaring at Alex and shaking her head. "That sounded a little Pinkie Pie-ish didn't it..." Alex thought to himself. "As I was saying, she came back from off the moon and had luckily brought back these weird devices she said she found while being there." Princess Celestia said. "Weird devices?" Alex asked. "Yes, something called video--" Celestia was interrupted by a loud voice. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME, WE TOTALLY OWNED HIM!" it said. Celestia secured her composure and continued talking," They're called video games." She finished. Alex looked at the door, trying to imagine how her sister may look like, then he looked at Celestia. "Hmm?" Princess Celestia said as she returned a stare back at Alex. " So... Um, I take it she's..." Alex was carefully choosing his words. " She is what?" Princess Celestia questioned. "Erm... n-nothing, haha" Alex said as he places his hand on he door knob to Celestia's sister's room. The guards looked at one another then they both turned their attention to Alex going in. The moment Alex stepped inside, he shut the door and turned around, only to find a pile of pillows that shaped a wall. "What the..." Alex said confused. Alex began to burrow through all of the pillows and onto the other side of the room. "Wow this sister of Celestia's as messy as me." Alex said, snickering as he continued squeezing through the pile of pillows. Once Alex had reached the other side, he stuck his head out of the pillow pile and gasped for air. " How do royal people have rooms this HUGE to fit a million pill--." Alex stopped talking after he saw a bunch of what appeared to be game cases. " Wait, so what Celestia said was true!?" Alex said wiping his eyes to see if he was imagining things. "Hmm. I wonder what shall I play next..." said a calming voice. "Huh who was that, I thought that there was some loud, impolite voiced monster in here." "WHO ARE YOU CALLING MONSTEROUS!!?" said the voice again, only louder than the one before. "Gah!" Alex said slipping out of the pile of pillows, now face down on the floor. "Who dares disturb Luna in her room while I'm--" Luna paused as she removed what appeared to be a communicating headgear piece and saw the clumsy human. "Oh, who are you?!" she said with a confused expression. Alex tried to recover from his fall. "I'm guessing your sister hasn't given you the news about me, huh" Alex said rubbing his pain on his head. Luna sat on her pillow, looking at Alex with a weird glare, then she picked up a video game case. Alex gave a blunt facial expression. "She sure shrugged that off easily..." He thought to himself. "You are that human that my sister has mentioned, is that right?" Luna said focusing on organizing the disc in the cases. "Y-yeah, and you must be that princess that Twilight said who is Nightmare Moon?" Alex asked. Luna broke one of her discs, Alex flinched, "DO NOT CALL US THAT!!!" she shouted in a wild tone. "Whoa, uh sorry, sheesh..." Alex said as he tried to keep calm. Alex took some time to look around at the stashed sodas and veggie goods that Luna had in stock. "Wow, all this stuff looks like they've come from my world..." He said, looking at one particular case. "Hey.. is that Zelda!?" Alex said with bewildered eyes. Luna stopped what she was doing and looked over to Alex. "You know what these games are..!?" Luna asked hesitantly. "W-well yea, I'm a gamer myself!" Alex said smiling back at the princess of the moon. Luna gasped and returned a smile back at him. "Awesome, so you know any of these other games?" Luna said full of excitement. Alex gave a shrug of arrogance. "Test me!" he said. Luna gave a serious glance. "Elder Scrolls!?" she asked. "Psh, me magic's insane on that game that I could hunt you down!" Alex replied. "Tekken!?" Luna asked. "Heh, Yoshimitzu and Raven spells END for you if you wanna rumble with me on there!" Alex said smirking. "Sonic the Hedgehog!?" Luna said running frantically around in a circle. "I've mastered that dude's speed in all his games, because I'm just that awesome!" Alex said, running in a circular motion in unison with Luna. Luna stopped and trotted over to Alex and put her hooves on his shoulders. "I can't believe I've actually met somepony else who's in to video games , aaaaaah!" Luna said with sparkling eyes and suddenly hugged Alex unexpectedly. "Haha...but... i'm not a pony, Luna." Alex said smiling and trying to calm the excited pony princess down. Luna stopped her giggling and laughing and stopped hugging Alex and was blushing, she cleared her throat, sat on her pillow and tried to act like nothing happened. "Ahem..." she said with a flustered face. "W-well it's great to see another intrigued by these wonderful creations of space!" Luna said as regal as she could. Alex thought for a minute. "That's right, where DID you exactly get these, ponies don't have that type of entertainment here?" He asked. Luna placed back her communicating head gear piece on her ear and looked at him. "While I was on the moon for being disobedient, I discovered these treasures!" She replied enthusiastically. "The...moon?" Alex wondered. Luna nodded at the phrase. " Huh, I guess Celestia was right about that... well anyways, I have another question for you Luna." Alex said, picking up one of the game cases. Luna waved her hoof as a sign to go on. "well... are you an ," "No, she's not an alien, Alex," said a gentle voice from behind. Alex turned around and saw Celestia standing regally behind him. "You sure about that...?," He asked, whispering into the Sun Goddess's ear. Celestia chuckled and turned her focus to Luna. "Ugh, what is it now sis?," Luna asked rolling her eyes and focused on her game playing. "My guards have informed me that you've kept getting tempered by these games of yours." Celestia stated. Luna looked away from her game and focused on her sister. "Well, from where I com from... most people who play these tend to get all loud and crazy from time to time.," Alex explained. "Aha, then they ARE dangerous, sister I wan't you to ," Alex stopped Celestia from doing something rash. "Hold on, hold on, I didn't finish!," Alex said trying to block Celestia. Luna swiped all her games in her hooves' grasp and hissed. "Wow, she's addicted to them alright.,"Alex thought to himself. "I didn't mean that videogames are dangerous, they're just fun and competitive, it's what make them so great!," Alex said picking up one of Luna's game cases and handing it to Celestia. Celestia grabbed the case with her hooves and studied the cover carefully, her eyes geban to widen in shock and she gave the case back to Alex. "Uh, everything alright Celestia?," He asked. Celestia pointed to the case and told him to read it. "Hmm, oh hey, it's Left 4 Dead 2, sweet I missed playing this game with my friends a long time ago!," Alex reacted with glistening eyes, then a thought crossed his minds. "Hey Celestia, are you...," Luna helped finish his sentence. " Yup, Tia's afraid of zombies, hahaha!," Celestia glared at her sis angrily and raised her hoof up to her. "Luna...you...so much rage..!," She continued to mumble to herself. Alex looked at the not so compassionate side of the Equestrian ruler, and almost laughed at the fast that the two argued and got along like regular sisters aside from royalty. "Haha, well I've never met a princess who's actually afraid of zombies!," He said laughing. Celestia reacted by the mention of zombies and twitched her left eye. "Ahem." She said. "W-Well, yes, I just cannot allow the ponies of the undead to hurt my fellow pony ," "Oh come on sister, you can stop the royal at when you're not around other ponies.," Luna waved her hoof at her sis as she followed her sentence by saying "I totally serve him!," Celestia blushed offensively and rolled her eyes, then looked at Alex. "Huh?," He said, a bit freaked of from Celestia's serious expression. "Can I trust you to look after my sister, Alex?," She asked. Alex turned to Luna who looked over to him, smiling and waving her hoof then went immediately back to gaming.''Alex turned his focus back to Celestia. "Since we both like games, sure I won't mind the least bit!," He said with a thumbs up. Celestia gave a sigh of relief. "Well, I'm glad to have you here to here to care for my sister in this situation.," She said, using her magic to remove the communication headgear Luna had on. "H-hey, what in Equestria, sis, we were just about to blast those guys into smithereens!," Luna shouted as she facehooved herself once a large crashing sound came from the game she was playing. "My dear sister, I wish for you to be in the care of Alex for now on, as he'll accompany you in this videogame disaster.," Celestia stated as she used her magic to keep her sister from reaching her communicating headgear piece. "Yes, yes, alright, I got it, I got it, just give me back my headset!," Luna demanded. "As long as you say please.," Celestia teased. "WE REQUIRE OUR GEAR TO PWN, THIS INSTANT!," Luna declared aloud, earning a feisty glare from her big sister. "You dare use the royal Canterlot voice at your own sister?," Celestia said as calmingly as she could. Luna flinched a little. "I mean, could I have my gear back pretty please?," Luna said putting her hooves together and pleading, looking backa nd forth from her sis and the game that was still going on. "Wow, they sure....get along.," Alex said smiling. Celestia gave her sister the communicating headgear piece and walked towards the door, where there weren't any pillows. "Wait a sec, what happened to the pillows?," Alex asked, shocked as he looked around. "Oh, pillows you say, I believe those are them over there?," Celestia said as she put her attention at the top of the ceiling where Luna sat, unaware of the dozens of pillows that were piled overhead of her. Alex looked at the hoard f pillows then back at Celestia. "You wouldn't, would you?," Alex asked, snickering. "Oh yea, yes I would.," Celestia replied with a returning chuckle and she released her horn;s magic and the pillows toppled on Luna. "What's happening, h-huh, Aaaaah!," Luna screamed as she was buried underneath the pillows. Alex and Celestia laughed as Luna tried to force her way out of the pile of pillows, she stuck her head out of them."Tia!," She said with her teeth clenched. "I shall leave the rest up to you, Alex.," Celestia said as she walked out of the room. Luna had made her way to the top of the pile and started clearing the pillows, all at the same time, using her magic. "Tia can be such a big meanie, I mean falling pillows, stealing my gaming gear I oughta ...," Luna kept ranting on about how much she despised the way her sister was treating her ever since she found out about her videogames. "Just how family should be.," Alex said laughing. "Hey, since your sister said I should look after you fro a while, why don't we go against each other?," Alex asked. Luna's ears perked up as she cleared the last of the pillows, and rushed to ALex. "You mean it!?<" She asked. "Yea, remember, I'm a game freak as well!," Alex said with a thumbs up. ***** una and Alex were playing against each other in countless games already, both deep into the gameplay. They were currently playing Call of Duty: Black Ops and paired on opposite teams. "HAHA, TAKE THAT PATHETIC PLAYER!," Luna laughed as she continues playing. Alex looked over to the triumphant alicorn with a black look. "You just nuked me...," He said with his controller motionless in his hands. Luna realized what he said at that moment then the screen appeared at the results. "Ahaha...oops?," She said with a sheepish smile. Alex shook his head and sighed. "Nah, it's cool.... just can't believe I got beat by a princess pony.," He admitted. Luna huffed. "That's an AWESOME princess pony to you!," She arrogantly corrected. Alex laughed a bit."My bad, your awesome excellency~," He said playing along with her title. Luna and ALex laughed and checked out the scoreboards before taking out the game disk out of the PS3 console. "Wow, I can't believe you have this many games and you said you found them on the moon?," Alex asked resting on the set of pillows. Luna looked at him, smiled, then returned to taking of the game disk and shuffling through her games. "That's right, but aside from the only items I had to keep me company on that planet-sized wasteland...it was horrible.," She said with a content face. Alex froned. "Oh...um, sorry for bringing it up, I didn't know that.," Luna threw a pillow at his face. "Don't worry about that, what matters is that I'm back in Equestria, having a great time!," She said, laughing. Alex smiled and nodded. "Now then...what game o=did you want to play next, Luna?," He asked. Luna continued browsing through her collection of games and let out a huge sigh. Alex looked at her and shook his head. "Let me guess, too hard to choose?," He asked, laughing a little. Luna shook her head as well. "No, I want to play them all at once.," She said sitting on her usual cushion and staring at the game case in her hooves. "Wait, what?," Alex responded. "Just as I said, I mean I have all these games and I can only finish and play so many in a short time.," Luna said with a slight frown. Alex gave a confused look. "Can't you just play them later or something?," He wondered. Luna turned back to Alex with a quivering lip and glimmering eyes. Alex flinched, stared at her for a while, then nodded with his arms crossed. "I see... so your sister has you doing a lot of royal princessy stuff that it tires you out so you try your best to shut her out so you can have time to yourself and play all the games you want, am I right?," He guessed. Luna sported a shocked face. "H-How'd you get all that just from looking at my face?," She asked. Alex chuckled a bit. "Don't be surprised, my mom's usually like that to me when it came to chores and such, not to mention my club meetings at school, but seriously they were fun!," He said. Luna stared at him oddly. "The point is that I can tell when a person, or pony, never has time for something.," He explained. Luna puted then gave a small grin. "Nice talent you have there, but.... I still do kind of wish there was a way I could play all of these games quicker AND still have fun doing so.," She said. Alex rested his legs in a crossed position on the pillow he was on then thought. Luna looked through the games again to find the game she wanted to play next. Alex gasped. "Your magic!," He said. "Huh?," Luna responded. Alex got off his pillow and held both of Luna's hooves in his hands. "You magic! You could use it to conjure some spell to help you play all of these video games at once!," He said with smile. Luna's face lit up with a hint of blush. "Hey, you're right! I can use my magic can't I!?," She said, beginning to laugh in unison with Alex. The two began dancing in a circle then noticed what they were doing and got back on topic. "You're right about the magic part, maybe there could be a way to mix all all of my games into one mega game to enjoy to the max!," Luna said, dreaming of her plan. " THE FUN WILL BE DOUBLED!," She roared with her thunderous Canterlot voice. Alex covered his ears for a moment and nodded. "Yea, and you'd be able to enjoy all all in one sitting before Celestia puts you to royal duties!," Alex and Luna paused for a while, laughed, and slowly started calming down. "Hehe...duty...," Luna said. "I know right!," Alex said. Luna rose up off the floor with a mighty flare around her, her horn began to glow brightly, as did her eyes. The room began to get engulfed in a series of tiny whirlwinds that started picking up the video game cases around her. Alex sat, clamped down on his pillow on the floor, watching Luna casting a spell of a sort to make her wish come true. Luna sported spotted an unsure look as the wind around her room started picking up. "I'm starting to have second thoughts about this!," Luna announced as her magic grew unstable. Alex started struggling to stay grounded on the floor and nodded. "I totally agree with you on that!," He replied back with a voice that could barely be heard over the howling winds. A huge vortex appeared behind Luna as her casting was still in effect. Alex panicked as the mare started being sucked in by it's pull. "Luna!," He shouted, reaching for her hoof. As Alex held onto her, he began to get ensnared in the vortex's force as well. "This...isn't...FAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIR!!!," He said as him and Luna were sucked into the vortex inevitably. _____________________ ~*~ _____________________
