Chapter I: Small Steps

Canterlot, the capital of Equestria. The streets are busy, and are bustling with ponies yet there is always something hiding in the shadows.
"GET OVER HER YOU RASCALS!!!!!" a voiced echoed through the large city.
Out of an alley, two colts ran out. One colt was a white unicorn with a white and blue mane, his cutie mark was a shield. The other was a a light-gray pegasis, his black and white tail was flowing behind him and he was quite old for a blank-flank.
Each colt had a roll in his mouth, and they ran as fast as their hooves could carry. A roll vendor pursued them.
The unicorn looked at his friend, "Got a plan, Inferno?" he asked.
Inferno studied his surroundings, a few yards ahead of them he saw a rope curled up all neatly. Hmm[i/] he thought.
Everypony stopped what they were doing and watched the commotion.
"I got something," said Inferno.
Shining Armor nodded, he knew that out of both of them that Inferno was the strategist, and the fastest, and the craziest, and Shining was more of the conscience.
They closed in on the rope, Inferno's wing unfolded and like a hand, picked the rope up.
"I'll give you one end of this rope," Inferno said, "And when I say, you go left, 'kay?" Inferno hoped he knew what to do. In Inferno's head he counted, One... two...[i/] "NOW!", he yelled.
Inferno tossed Shining the rope and he went left while Inferno went the opposing direction. "STOP!!!!" They both stopped, tightening the rope.
The vendor, who was not far behind them, realized to late about their plan and tripped over the rope.
Inferno took off the ground and plucked his friend of the ground and they flew to their safest place in Canterlot (well, from adults at least).

Boards were strewn here and there, some nailed to the ceiling. Orange light peeked through the holes as a result of the end of Celestia's journey.
The two colts were sitting on a pile of pillows that were thrown out of ponies' homes.
"That was the... what was it again?" asked Inferno.
"The 276th time we stole rolls from Mr. Kneed," his friend replied.
They busted out laughing, Mr. Kneed was getting predictable for them, "We need another target," he said.
"Yep," Shining Armor said. His ear perked up. "Guess it's dinner," he said," Wanna come?"
"Your family always allows me to dinner."
"Maybe because you always come."
They laughed one more time," Ahh, c'mon let's get going."
