~Rainbow’s Household, Ponyville~
~1 week after the party~
Rainbow Dash watched from her window as the construction workers worked on the new castle. She smiled as she saw how it was coming, and also because the news that the new queen was going to live in Ponyville caused hundreds of tourists to go to the small town. She walked away from the window and sat at her table, which because of her new size, was now too small. She had her lunch that she made on the table; which consisted of a grilled cheese sandwich and two pickles, she went to take a bite when she was interrupted.
“Your majesty, are you sure that you should eat that?” an old voice warned.
Rainbow Dash sighed and turned to the cause of the warning, behind her was an old grey Pegasus stallion wearing a blue robe. She cursed in her head when she realized that it was one of the members of the Pegasus council, who came after hearing that the new ruler was found.
Now Rainbow Dash didn’t hate them, in fact, she was surprised to hear that some of the council members were not against the idea of her being the new queen, but she did dislike some of them. The one in front of her right now was one that she didn’t dislike, but hated, for the stallion, Grey Wings, was born to a long line of Pegasi that were part of the council, so Grey Wings was infuriated when he found out that Wind Chaser chose an Alicorn born from two lower class Pegasus to be the next ruler.
“Grey Wing, what are you doing here?” Rainbow Dash asked, turning away and began to eat her lunch.
“I am here to inform you that you will be traveling to Cloudsdale, Las Pegasus, Manehatten, and Canterlot to introduce yourself as the new queen in a couple of days,” Grey Wing explained.
“I know that already.”
“If you already know, why aren’t you getting prepared?”
“I am waiting for another pony to come,” Rainbow Dash explained, not even bothering to see what expression he had at the moment.
“Well, I hope for your sake that the pony comes soon, I don’t even know why King Wind Chaser chose you?” Grey Wing grumbled to himself, Rainbow Dash heard this and smirked.
“Maybe because he saw how awesome I was?”
She got the response she wanted when she heard a loud growl from the old Pegasus, followed by a door slamming. She smiled and finished her lunch; she stood up to put her plate in the sink, when she heard fireworks in the distance.
“It looks like she’s here,” she said smiling; she put her dishes in the sink and flew off to where the sound came from.
~Ponyville Town Square~
Rainbow Dash landed behind a group of ponies, who were watching as Applejack and Rarity were yelling at the new comer, who happened to be Trixie.
“You expect us to believe that you got a letter telling you to come to Ponyville so you can teach some royalty magic!?” Applejack exclaimed, her face dangerously close to the blue mare.
“Trixie is telling the truth; why else would Trixie come here?” Trixie answered, glaring back at the apple farmer.
“I don’t know Trixie, you did lie about defeating an Ursa Minor,” Rarity said, getting a glare from Trixie.
“It was part of Trixie’s act.”
“And why did you decide to set off your fireworks?” Applejack asked.
“It was so the pony Trixie needs to meet knows that Trixie is here!”
While Rainbow Dash was enjoying the show, she knew that she had to stop it before somepony got hurt.
“Trixie is telling the truth,” Rainbow Dash announced, causing all the ponies to look at her. She walked towards the mobile home, while the ponies stepped back to allow her through, and the Pegasus ended up bowing to her.
“See, Trixie told you that she... You’re an Alicorn!?” Trixie exclaimed, pointing her hoof at the cyan Alicorn.
“Yes Trixie, I am.”
“Rainbow Dash, how do you know that she is telling the truth?” Applejack asked confused.
“Because I sent her the letter to come here, and train me to use illusion magic,” Rainbow Dash answered, getting slack jaw responses from Applejack and Rarity.
“Rainbow Dash! Don’t you remember what she did to you!?” Applejack exclaimed.
“Yes I do, when she was first here she humiliated me, than the second time she was here, she was under the control of the Alicorn Amulet, but I still need her A.J,” Rainbow Dash answered.
“But couldn’t you get somepony else to teach you illusion spells, like Twilight?” Rarity asked, but got a shake from the rainbow Alicorn.
“Twilight may be good with magic, but have you ever seen her use an illusion spell?” Rainbow Dash asked.
Both Applejack and Rarity tried to come up with something to say, but couldn’t think of one instance where Twilight used an illusion spell.
“Okay Rainbow, you win,” Applejack admitted defeat, nudging Rarity to get her to say the same thing.
“Oh, yes Rainbow, you win.”
While this was happening Trixie stared at the conflict and was surprised to see that Rainbow Dash was willing to accept her.
“Trixie, can you please follow me and Rarity to Twilight’s?” Rainbow Dash asked, snapping Trixie out of her trance.
“Of course, I will accompany you,” Trixie trotted up to the two mares and followed them to the library.
During the walk, Trixie noticed that the Pegasi were all stopping what they were doing to bow to Rainbow Dash, but the Earth Ponies and Unicorns were more fidgeting, like they were deciding whether to bow or not.
“Trixie must know why the other ponies are so hesitant about bowing to you?” Trixie asked.
“Well, the Pegasi bow to me because I’m their Queen, the other ponies just don’t know whether that means they should also bow,” Rainbow Dash explained.
Trixie nodded her head, understanding what she said.
~Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville~
Twilight got all the books ready, going from the simple levitation spell, to teleportation spells. She was giddy at the fact that she was going to teach her friend how to use magic.
She heard a knock on the door, and opened it to reveal Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Trixie.
“Wait!? Trixie!?” Twilight thought, staring at the blue unicorn.
Trixie looked around, uneasy about the stare, “Can you please stop staring at Trixie.”
“Rainbow Dash, why is Trixie here?” Twilight asked, confused by the fact that Trixie was now at her library.
“Well Twilight, Trixie is going to teach me how to use illusion spells.”
“But I could of easily taught you them.”
“I know, but I decided to get a master at those spells.”
Trixie felt proud when she heard Rainbow Dash say that, now that she knew that she was probably better than Twilight at something.
“Twilight, aren’t you going to let us in?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Of course, please come in,” Twilight waved them in, smiling as they came in to her library.
Rainbow Dash noticed all the books that were stacked and gave a loud whistle.
“Wow Twilight, you sure are prepared for this.”
“Well it was the only thing on my mind for the entire week,” Twilight admitted, rubbing the back of her head and blushing.
“Good to hear, alright everypony, line up in front of me,” Rainbow Dash ordered, causing the three Unicorns to stand right in front of the Alicorn.
“Now as you know, I got you to teach me some things, like how to act like royalty,” she points at Rarity how was smiling proudly, “Magic,” points at Twilight who was blushing, “ and illusions,” points at Trixie, who was thinking at how doing this will really make her popular.
“Now we only have a couple of days until I have to go to Cloudsdale to introduce myself, so we better do this as quickly as possible.”
Rainbow Dash stared at the three mares, rubbing her chin with her hoof.
“So, who wants to go first?”
