The next day looked to be bright and beautiful, with just a few clouds in the sky. I woke late, 10am, and found only AJ to be awake. She sat at the window, looking out at the view. I sat with her and smiled.

“Mornin’. Ya’ll sleep like logs” Applejack told me with a smile.

“Heh, yeah. Sleep well?” I asked, smiling.

“I did, the mattresses here are a might bit comfier than the beds at Sweet Apple Acres” She sighed “Ah hope Applebloom, Big Mac and Granny are okay.”

“I’m sure they’ll be fine, they were expecting you to be gone for as long as two weeks after all… Why were you all going to Canterlot anyway?” I asked, curios.

“Well, Princess Celestia thought we all deserved a nice long holiday after all we’d been through since Twilight arrived at Ponyville. She was gonna send us on an all-expenses paid, 2 week trip to Singahoof, Rarity was over the moon.” Applejack explained. “I guess that never happened in that show of yours.”

“Hmm, no, but that sounds like a great trip” I replied.

“Yeah, it should have been, Rarity said its one of the only places you can go and see cultures from every part of Equestria and all countries outside of Equestria living harmoniously in one city country. We’d probably be there now but Twi wanted to try out her new transport spell and we ended up here.” She grinned, “not that coming here was a bad thing, Ah love to make new friends, though Pinkie loves it lots more”

“Yeah. Let’s go have breafast” I said.

“Sure thing sugarcube” AJ smiled and followed me downstairs. We ate toast for breakfast and soon the others followed, Rainbow Dash being the only one not to have made an appearance yet. We’d all sat around the table to play Monopoly when the front door opened and RD flew through, quickly closing it then coming down the hall.

“Rainbow Dash? Where have you been too?” Twilight asked her.

“Umm, out, for a fly… I had to stretch my wings…” She replied, looking a little worried.

“Were you seen?” Chris asked.

“Umm… Yeah… I was flying over those strange roads, and there were lots of those car things, and other strange things… I think one followed me back here…” Rainbow replied, “cars are faster then I thought…”

“Oh dear” Beth said.

“What’s so bad about her being seen?” Fluttershy asked timidly.

“When someone finds something rare or new, people want to see or study it. If you guys are found, you might get captured and put in a zoo, or scientists will study you, or you’ll be pony-napped  and sold to the highest bidder on the black market or something” Nick explained, getting a quiet ‘Eep!’ from Fluttershy, it was such a cute noise, again I wanted to hug her.

“Goodness, why would anypony ever want to do that?” Rarity asked, sounding a little shocked.

“It’s what people do. Humans don’t exactly have the best track record for being kind and moral throughout history, many of us constantly try to out-do each other, whether that means being richer, more famous, or having more and rarer things than everyone else” I said.

“So basically, if we’re caught we’ll be made to be some ones pet, a zoo animal or a scientific test subject?” Twilight asked.

I nodded “pretty much.”

Twi sighed.“Then we’ll just have to stay hidden until I can figure out a way to get us back to Equestria, which means no leaving this house girls.” 

“But I need to be able to fly! Staying on the ground all the time is bad for my wings! I’ll never be able to join the Wonderbolts! I’ll die of boredom!” RD cried out.

“Oh stop over reacting RD, that’s a load o’ horse apples an you know it” Applejack chided.

Rainbow groaned and slumped in defeat. “You can watch some movies to pass the time, I’ve got some good ones” I offered.

“Oh okay” Rainbow followed me into the theatre, AJ, Pinkie, Chris and Nick joining us. I put on Indiana Jones, wondering if Dash would see the similarities between him and Daring Doo. She later told me she did, and that she really enjoyed the movie. I left the theatre, then noticed someone staring through the window next to the front door at the door I’d just come out of.                                                

"Hey Rebecca, could we get some popcorn in... here..." Rainbow Dash had stuck her head out the theatre door to ask me for popcorn, but had spotted the guy at the door, of whom she was now in full view of "He's one of the humans who followed me!"
