Chapter 3
Who's Who?
You wake up at the peak of dawn, you look outside as it was still dark but morning. You climb out of bed, put on your coat, hat, bit pouch, and place the mysterious blue letter inside your coat. You walk outside as you walk through the silent town as you blow out every black standing candle that lit Ponyville. After you finish you head out towards the nearest open store, cafe, coffee shop, or market, but luckily there was. The S and M store is known for being open 24 hours for much needed goods, you walk down the streets until you find the store. You walk inside as you hear the kakky music and look at the groceries that are available. You walk around until you find the butter section, you grab the cheapest stick of butter you find and quickly pay for it, luckily it was just 1 bit.
You walk outside the small town as you walk through the outskirts of Ponyville. You find the nearby hill as you walk up the hill and find a lone blue box. You read the words inscribed on the box which read "Police public call box". You turned puzzled at the words as you look around to find nopony else, you take out the letter to find it's color was matching the box, you scrunch up your hand as you knock on the door.
*knock knock knock*
"Hold on." You hear a coltish accent as the door opens to find a tan pony with dark brown hair, white button shirt, black pants, light brown coat, and a bow tie appear from the blue box. "Oh it's you, did you bring the butter?" You nod with a confussed expression as you hand the butter over to the mysterious pony as he swipes it from your hand and gulps it down whole. "Ahh, much butter, ha ha get it?" He jokes with a clownish smile on his face.
Silence....
"Oh never you mind, now come in, we must talk."
"I-In there? That thing is tiny."
"Ohh I assure you it's much more." He said as he disappeared inside the box, you gulp down timid juice as you walk inside the strange box.
"Oh.....my.....Luna..." You shock to yourself as you found an entire house inside the tiny blue box, you moved around to see if it was a mirage, but no mirrors were in the room, well not the walls at least.
"And then you say-"
"What is this magic?"
The mystery pony's face turned into a hoofix cube with a surprised expression. "Well that's new, usually they would say it's bigger on the inside."
"That too, now before I freak out, is this magic?"
"Nope, just technology."
"Oh, okay....... now I'm going to go outside and freak out." You said as you begin to walk out the way you came but was intercepted as the mystery pony's fingers snapped causing the door to crush tight. "Who are you?"
"Well you can just call me The Doctor, don't ask who because it's too dangerous."
"Wha-"
"Now please sit, we must talk about Derpy." You nod as you take a seat at the nearest chair, The Doctor then brings out a metal like stick and waves a green shining light over your body. He flicks it straight as he gave a good long stare at the stick. "Hmmm.... this is difficult, but I always lie. But this one is not a lie, well....not like the cake but.... I think it's time for her to retire."
"Doctor what do you mean?"
"I meaaaaaaan, I think you would be right for Derpy."
"Who are you her father or something?"
"Weelll.... more like her best friend, but I have to leave somewhere. Well actually I wanted to show you something." The Doctor states as he runs to his machine as he flicks, punches, pulls, and twists a few kniks and do dads as the room began to rumble and quake for a brief moment. You struggle as you grab anything to help you stand up straight, after a few more moments of a brief earthquake the rumbling stops as you find the Doctor on the floor. He stands up as he starts barking at the machine. "What happened Sexy? Is your wibbly wabbly broken again? Or is it the Blooky Yuki? Come on you can land better than that." He exclaims as he gives a jokish stare at you. You were confused more than a snail in a battlefield as you find the Doctor completely calm and mad.
"Uh..... Doctor, are you talking to your...uh...machine?"
"Yes why?"
"...........Never mind, so what did you do?"
"We went," he pauses as you follow him to his front door. "to the past!" He exclaims as he opens the door to find Ponyville, but it looks the same.
"Uh... Doctor, what are you?"
"Time lord but that's not important, I wanted to show you something about Derpy." He said as he pointed at a young grey pegasus teenage mare. "Recognize somepony?
Wait is that? No it can't be. "Derpy?"
"Yeaaaaa...... that's her 15 years ago, she's young and still a high school student. Now I must warn you under the laws of time, don't try to change it or else you'll end up like Pete."
"Who's Pete?"
"Nopony you should know." He said as he bit his lip. "Now just watch."
Derpy happily skipped through the streets of Ponyville as a tall dark figure slowly tailed her a few feet away. As she got near a alleyway the tall figure quickly grabbed the mare as he covered her mouth and brought her to the end of the alley. "Scream and your dead." The victim began to cry as you scrunch your fist and walk towards the thug, you were stopped as a hand tugs you on the shoulder, The Doctor slowly shakes his head at you as you grunt in frustration and pause and watch the horror.
Derpy screamed in pain as the thug let out a massive moan as he quickly ran out of the alley leaving Derpy on the cold ground feeling cold and dead. The Doctor grabs you on the shoulder and pulls you towards the blue box. "Come on, I think you know what's going to happen next." You nod as you enter the box, The Doctor activates a couple more buttons and levers as the room shakes and stops. "Now come on, there's more." You nod as you and The Doctor walk outside to find Derpy in a hospital bed, she was holding something white, and large. Was that?
"I think I'll name her Dinky, and I want to keep her."
"But Derpy why!? You were raped, why do want to keep this problem?"
"Because mom, I wanted to prove to you that I can handle responsibility, and so that I don't let this poor little filly suffer from adoption or become a detective looking for me." The Doctor grabs you by the shoulder and drags you back into the box and transports ports you back into Ponyville.
"Alright, good to be back in the present. Now that you know Derpy's past I think you should confront her." He said with a stern tone.
"What makes you think I have a crush on her?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.
"My screwdriver never fails."
"That thing was a screw driver?"
"Yes, now go out there a confess." He barked as he pushes you towards the direction of Derpy's house.
You began to brake The Doctor's force as you push him back. "Hang on Hang on, if your screwdriver never lies then tell me, what's your real name?"
"It's just The Doctor."
"Well then I'll just tell her that you forced me to do this and that you showed me all of this." You blackmail as The Doctor's face turned shocked as he ran in front of you with bullets of sweat.
"Wait wait wait, let's not be so hasty, how about you just take it slow eh?"
"Well, if I truly like her, but I'm just doing her a favor cause I feel guilty for what I did." You said in a low tone.
"I know. But please take care of her, tell her I went travelling because I'll never return. Don't ask why, the cyberponies or men need to be stopped. So GERONIMO!!!" He shouted as he ran inside his blue box, he closed the door as it began to disappear into thin air.
"Uh.....no comment." You said as you look at the sky to notice that it was nearly Celestia's sun jump. You walk home as you found Derpy at your house placing a few letter in your box.
You sneak behind the mailmare as you tap her on the shoulder causing her to fly up in surprise as she dropped your mail.
"EEP!"
"Sorry Derpy." You apologize as you pick up your mail and help Derpy up. "I was just trying to just say hi."
"It's okay, wait....what are you doing here? It's too early for you to come out."
"Well, I met your friend known as The Doctor."
"Oh yea, he's a mysterious stallion, I was going to date him but I found out he was already married. It's funny really." She said as you both chuckle and giggle like foals.
"Yea that's pretty funny, well I'm going to get some coffee and I'll stop by your house as your servant."
The grey mare's cheeks burned slightly pink as she hid her face. "Oh um... okay see you later."
"Late" You walk inside your house and into your kitchen as you pull out a case of joe and pour the bean powder in your mug. You go to your water heater as your brew yourself a black mug of caffeine, you blow on the steam to cool it down and slowly drink the black bean juice. "Alright, fueled up, now to be of service." You walk outside as you head towards Derpy's house with thought's plaguing your mind.
Man, I never knew she had a tough past.
