//------------------------------// // The start of Blaze Wing's journey // Story: The Journey of Blaze Wing the white parasprite // by The One With The Crystal //------------------------------// Blaze laughed his little head off from the scene he had just witnessed. "Those girls had it coming to them." He laughed out. An elderly parasprite walked up to him. "Blaze did you really have to scare those two fillies. Though they tried to kill our people there wasn't any need to scare them that much."She said. She was a light purple parasprite with red stripes on her legs. She was the parasprite's oldest elder and was their leader. Her name was Rosana. She was a kind leader that believed that everyone was equal even in these times. Back then parasprites could enter a town, eat some food, and be kicked out with little to no injuries. Now they had to go into towns in small legions and bring back food to feed. The only problem was that the parasprites multiplied themselves almost on a regular basis, but with the hunts going on it didn't make a budge in the population for the past few years. All parasprites had lost hope that the hunts would stop some would even fly out into the open to get shot down already. There was one parasprite that wouldn't give up so easily and that parasprite is Blaze Wing the rare white parasprite. "Rose. I know you think that everyone should get along, but they have killed thousands of us in a few years." Blaze said. "Yes that is true, but we have eaten millions of their food for longer than they have harmed us."Rosana are you saying that we deserve this?" Blaze said as he flinched back. The elder turned around as she sighed "I do not mean that we deserve this. No one deserve this. This is just our punishment from Father Discord." Rosana said as she walked away. Parasprites are a creation of Discord from a eons ago. They saw him as the father of all of them and treated him like so. Now a days the parasprites would pray to him so that the hunts would stop and that they could find food in peace. Blaze stopped believing in that stuff a long time ago. "Rosana you know I don't be believe in that stuff anymore. Its all just a bunch of stupid thrash." Blaze said. Click, click, dom Blaze;s wings caught on fire again as he floated in the air. "I'm going to the diamond dogs. I need some more gem fuel." Blaze finished as he flew away. Rosana shook her head and sighed "That child is lost as a blind dog. I hope that he finds the path he was born to walk on." Rosana said as she walked around the small camp that was their home. Blaze flew off toward the mountains of the diamond dogs. Blaze was always the ones to think of new inventions. Thoughts how he was able to create his blazix. Basically it was what he used to make his wings catch on fire without causing them to burn off. There was one problem though was the power source. For the blazix to work Blaze needed a jewel that was very common to everyone and everything. Black gem crystals. Crystals with the properties of a gem. True that it was common, but to get it you had to journey to a pitch black cavern hidden among a system of underground railroads. Only the diamond dogs can remember where the cavern is. The diamond dogs that lived at the mountains knew Blaze like a brother. Blaze's blazix didn't go without a return of a pay. Blaze didn't have money. What kind of a parasprite would? So Blaze spent his spare time working in the mines of the diamond dogs for a small pay, but he got the work done. Right now after a few years he was very close to paying off his debt he only needed one more payment. Blaze arrived at the mountain tops of the diamond dogs. A tall dog climbed out of a hole in the ground. He had a collar with an orange gem on it and a red coat. Rover was his name. "Blaze! Just in time. Quick, jobs needs to be finished!" He said as he dove back underground. Blaze dove down the hole after him, following the dog's glowing orange gem so he didn't get lost in the many corridors. Finally they landed in a brightly lite corridor that lead to a larger room. "Digger dogs are sick. We nee you to work the digging tools." Rover said when he opened the door. Blaze knew how to work the tools that the dogs had obtained. The dogs didn't know how to work the tools saying that the tools had "Too many thingies". Blaze turned a few knobs and a few dials before activating a drill. Another dog that was there with him grabbed it and drilled holes in the spot where there was supposed to be digging activity. The little parasprite flew around the cavern of a thousand passageways looking around for a couple of more jobs. He had already done some heavy lifting around the place. Blaze has always had a hard head literally. Blaze has stopped a rolling boulder before with nothing, but his head. After that though Blaze's head did bleed, but he was happy as ever. Blaze always looked for a challenge to beat, he even looked for a rival a couple of times. The little parasprite was blown over by a large explosion from a hall not too far away from him. Blaze rushed quickly towards the hall with a single scene to meet him. There was an old digger dog under a rock and a younger dogs leaned up against the wall knocked out cold. They must have came in contact with some explosive gas. Blaze thought Blaze went towards the digger dog first and started to move the boulder that trapped him. "No.......brother Blaze......get......youngster first."The dog said. Blaze was confused at first. He knew the rules around here. One of the rules explains that young dogs couldn't do any high-class jobs and couldn't produce much pay for the products they obtain. Blaze looked back at the child then back at the dog. "Youngster.......will learn.......youngster will grow, but not if he dies...........here. I'm......old............will not last..........much longer.........please." The diamond dog said. Blaze sighed as he flew to the kid and dragged him by his coat. Other diamond dogs came to the scene. As Blaze flew to a near by rock to think. 'Diamond dogs have extremely good noses so if one one was to come across an explosive gas leak he or she would have noticed it. This was a set up.' Blaze thought. "Alright! ALRIGHT! Everyone is dismissed. That goes for you too Blaze." Rover commanded as he handed the parasprite a four pieces of black jewels. Blaze was surprised by the short work day, but he got to go back home early and that meant more time with his only friends. Destino and Carla. Destino was like a friend and a enemy to Blaze. He was black with golden stripes on his legs. Destino helped him out in the rough parts of life, but at the same time he was also a rival at almost everything Blaze does. Carla was a parasprite that was the most liked in the whole camp. She was JUST a friend. She was light purple and the only parasprite with a patch of fur. Some say when she was born she landed on a pony and took a bit of fur. Carla helped him when his temper seem to have no end. On his way back to the campsite something out of nowhere came and trapped Blaze in a immobile prison. "What the........?" Blaze was lost for words as his imprisoners came out of the shadows. "I told you we would catch that rare parasprite." One of his captives said. "Yeah and it only took us a month of planning, about eighty five bits, and the rest of my dynamite." The other one said. Blaze looked around to find that he was actually in a orb of magic, powerful magic at that. Blaze rammed into the sides of the barrier only to be met with a annoying headache and the laughing of the two ponies in front of him. "Oh your a riot little fella. I would have sold you on the black market, but I already have a offering for you my dear friend." Said one of them. Blaze couldn't really tell because the barrier was so thick that it actually blurred his vision. "Arrrgh. I swear when I break out of here I'm going to headbutt you two so hard even death won't know who you are." Blaze said. Sadly his threat fell on deaf ears because the barrier also blocked out his voice. This was going to be a very long ride.
