Who is that mare?

by JosephRascon1789

So this Friday?

"Good morning everypony. My name is Twilight Sparkle. I'm glad to be here."

This has to be some joke.

"Okay Miss Sparkle please choose a seat anywhere in the class."

Of all the days Wild had to choose a seat on the other side of the classroom......

Twilight looked around the class, only to smile when she picked her seat. She slowly trotted to the right side of the classroom. She advanced up two rows and went to the seat right next to Moon. She sat in the chair and put her saddle bag on the floor. Moon froze up as she looked over to him.

"Hey Moon. Isn't it great we have this class together?" She was smiling from ear to ear.

"Yeah.... It's awesome" Moon vaguily replied.

Moon tried to calm himself down. Okay keep you cool dude. She is just like all the other mares. She wants you. Chill out.

Nothing was working. He tried to focus on class, but he would find himself looking at Twilight. She would catch him in a quick glance and he would try and look away as fast as he could. He was trying so hard to lose this feeling of regret. He wanted to talk to her, but he didn't want to bug her.

For Celestia's sake why can't I shake this feeling? I want to ask her some questions, but I feel like she would be angry for some reason.

A loud voice broke his though's about Twilight. "Okay class. That's all fot today. Tomorrow we will learn about why this class was created."

Moon looked at his notes. They had little drawings and scribbles of Twilight's cutie mark all over the page. He quickly hid them in his bag. He pulled out his iPhone and was going to use music to clear his head. It would be a lot easier to think with his head clear, and his mind stress free. He inserted the right ear bud, but before her could put in the left, Twilight tapped his shoulder. His eyes shot open and his heart spead up.

"I don't know anypony here. Is it okay if we talk a little bit?" Twilight asked in a sweet tone.

Moon nodded and put his phone down. He tried so hard keep his cheecks from turning red as he looked to the lavender mare.

"So where are you from?" Twilight asked.

It took Moon a couple seconds to actually get his mouth to move. "I'm from Fillydelphia."

Twilight smiled. "Oh did you like it there?"

"Um....." He forgot everything as he stared into the purple eyes that sit a couple hooves away. "Yeah it was nice."

Twilight looked away for a second. Moon shook his head and pulled himself together. "So where are you from?"

Twilight looked back and replied happly. "Well originally, I'm from Canterlot. I left Canterlot to go to Ponyville to learn about the magic of friendship. I met my 5 best friends there." Twilight's smile streched across her face as she began to tell the stories of her adventures.

The clock read 7:52 when they started. Moon Ray was so happy when she would talk. She seemed very excited when she told Moon about her past. Her voice could be his fuel to live. She finshed her last story and looked at the clock.

"Oh wow. It's already 8:55? I'm sorry you didn't get time to talk." Twilight said as her ears went down.

"Hey I had fun listening to your stories. You seemed like a pony who didn't get around a lot. I guess I was wrong." Moon said with a hoof in the back of his head. "What class do you have next? Maybe I could walk you there?"

Did I really just ask that?

Twilight blushed and she looked away. "I have advanced physics in the L building."

Moon's face had almost completly turned red, not to mention the huge smile on his face. "I have the building right next to that."

Twilight looked back with a suprised expression. When she saw the blush on Moon's face she had a gentle smile on her face. "Then I guess I can learn a little bit about you on our way to our next class."

Moon went ear to ear grin and he blurted out. "That's awesome. I wanted to talk to you for a while."

They both shared a laugh, and for the first time Moon was hugged by a mare.

They both thought. Please Celestia. If this is a dream..... I never want to wake up!

Twilight opened her eyes and pulled back. "I'm sorry. That was just a little implusive of me. Please if you...."

Her sentence was cut off by Moon. He returned the hug and squeezed gently.

*The begining of class*

"Good morning everypony. My name is Twilight Sparkle.I'm glad to be here." Said the purple unicorn.

"Okay Miss Sparkle choose a seat anywhere in the class."

She trotted over and sat next to Moon Ray.

Sapphire yelled in her mind What?! That seat shouldn't be open! Wild is supose to sit there!

Sapphire searched the room and to her supirse, Wild was sitting right behind her. She couldn't believe she didn't notice The seat was open. She wanted to ask Moon who the other pony was. She hadn't gotten much sleep since that day. She was trying so hard to figure out whose hoof that was.

Sun Beam tapped the board to get the attention of the students. "Okay class. We aren't learning anything to important today, since I know many of you are trying to get use to college."

The unicorns let out a small cheer.

"But we are learning still." Groans and heads hitting tables, gently, filled the classroom. "Oh come on now. It can't be that bad. It's not a hard lesson I promise."

He turned to face the board and the students began to take notes about what was expected of them in this class. 52 minutes passed before Sun set the marker down. "See. Not that hard right?" He said in a sarcastic tone.

Some unicorns agreed with him while others were being awoken from their naps. Sapphire looked at Wild, who had decided to catch up on some lost sleep, and frowned. His right fore leg was dangling off the table. She tilted her head when she noticed the color.

That looks like....... No it can't be. Sapphire was studying the fore leg closely.

Wild twitched and shifted his position reviling a watch. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the color.

A black watch.... No.....

A loud voice broke her thought. "Hey Wild. Get over here dude! We want to talk."

Wild's head shot up and he looked around. His semi red eyes didn't like the light to much. He yawned and stretched his fore leg out as far as he could. Across the room a friend of his was waving to him.

He stopped stretching and tasted his mouth, making some very weird noise. "Come on guys. Is it that important? I'm really tired." Wild called out.

The voice went into Sapphire's ear and matched the voice from the day she was saved. Wild picked up his bags and walked over to the stallions in the front row. Sapphire watched him the whole way, and for a little bit more after he sat down.

Wild looked back, and caught Sapphire's gaze. They locked eyes for 30 seconds before one of Sapphire's friends nudged her.

I guess that's the thanks I get for saving your life. Wild became sad when he said this in his head. He turned his head away.

Oh my gosh! It was Wild! This whole time it was Wild Wind. He never asked for anything in return. Sapphire came to the realization that Wild wasn't a bad pony.

Wait what if he didn't save me. I need to ask him.

She stood up and slowly trotted to the front of the class. Sapphire's heart was beating as she approached the 4 stallions. She set her sight on the white pony who was laying in his bag trying to go back to sleep. Right before she was going to get to Wild, she heard somepony call her name. As much as she wanted to tap Wild on the back she could heat the other mares talking about her.

"What do you think she doing?"

"I don't know? Maybe she's going to ask him out or something."

"Ewww. Why Wild? He is such a loser."

"Well that would make them prefect."

She winced at the low talking behind her. She went back to her desk and waited for the teacher to end the class. Wild lifted his ear and looked back at the mares that were bad talking Sapphire. He stood up and walked to the desk. He put his hoof on the desk and looked at the mares.

"Got a problem with me?" He asked in a low tone

The mares smirked and replied. "Well we might? Or maybe we are just saying the truth."

"Hey I don't talk about you. And really I don't care if you do. Just don't bring Sapphire into this. She has nothing to do with this. Just make fun of me." He said in a voice almost like a groan.

"Why? It's not like she cares about you. Why do you want to defend her?" The mare asked.

He looked into the mares eye and she had an evil smirk. "She doesn't have to care. I want to care for her so leave her alone and just make fun of me."

"Okay have it your way." She replied

Wild grinned as the bell rang. He grabbed his bag and quickly left the class. Sapphire walked up to Moon before he left. She looked at him and the purple unicorn whose name she already forgot.

"Moon. Who saved me? Who was with you?"

Moon looked at Sapphire and said in a calm tone. " Wild did? Why?"

Her eyes widened and she ran out of the class full speed, looking for Wild. She ran past hallways looking for the stallion. Passing one by one looking for Wild. When she pulled a corner she saw the white stallion trotting to his next class. She yelled out his name and waved. He had a blank look on his face when he turned around. She trotted over, while trying to catch her breath and thinking of something to say to the stallion who saved her life. When she finally got to him, she could see the red pools from under his eyes. She took a deep breath and asked a simple question.

"It was you?"

Wild looked away and replied. "Yeah. I did it because I have feelings for you. I was to scared to ask you anything. When I found you and Moon I continued the CPR while he gave a location. I had to do mouth to mouth to keep you alive. Please forgiv......"

Wild was cut off by Sapphire, hugging him and squeezing tightly. Wild was a little shocked but he returned the embrace. Their hearts beat fast and they enjoyed the feeling of each other in their arms. The bell rang and that snapped them out of their joy. They broke and looked into each others eyes.

Wild put a hoof on the back of his head and asked Sapphire "Are you doing anything this Friday?"

There blush flared up and she responded in a cute, quiet tone. "No."

"Well would you like to go somewhere?" He asked, kicking at the ground lightly.

"Is this going to be a date?" She responded clapping her hooves.

Wild tried to pretend she didn't sat that. He was already super nervous and that question didn't help.

He looked down, and quietly responded. "Well ...... I-I guess so...."

She grabbed Wild and held him. Wild pulled her as close as he could let the hug go on for a while before he said anything. This was a start to a new life for Wild Wind and Sapphire.

---------------

"I wonder what Sapphire wanted with Wild." Twilight asked with a hoof on her chin.

She knows it was Wild who gave her mouth to mouth. Moon thought.

Twilight noticed Moon in deep thought ans waved a hoof in front of his face. Moon shook his head and looked around.

"Sorry. I kinda blanked out for a second."

Twilight smiled and moved in front of him. "Well come on. The bell is going to ring and I don't think you want to be late." Twilight said with a gentle smile. Moon started after Twilight and they left the class together.

"So Moon. What do you think of this school?" Twilight asked.

Moon stopped and looked at Twilight. "This school..... This school is freedom. It's my real home now." Moon looked to the west where the sun was now fully in the sky. "My home isn't with my mom in Fillydelphia. It's here. I wanted to live alone, or with a special somepony for a long time."

Twilight placed a hoof on Moon's back. "What happened to you?"

"It's a long story." He replied

They looked deep into each other's eyes and slowly started blushing. Twilight didn't know what she was feeling. She had liked other stallions before, but this wasn't anything she had felt before. Moon hadn't liked mares before, because of the mares at his old school. For that matter he never had friends because of that school. Everypony was looking out for themselves. They were rich ponies and rich ponies only look for the best deal. He tried to make friends, but they all told him that 'friends are just a commodity. Something you can buy, sell, throw away, and use whenever you need them.' Moon shook that thought out of his head and focused back into Twilight's eyes. This feeling brewed up inside both of them and the once little red pools under their eyes stretched across their faces. In their minds, a voice screamed Get to class, but their hearts were beating to the same rhythm and neither of them felt class was to important at this moment. They moved closer and their eyes started closing. Neither of them could control what was happening it just seemed like a natural reaction. Twilight was slowly getting a grip and she pulled back. She put a hoof on Moon's back and spoke in a disappointed tone.

"Moon.... We can't do this. I just met you. You are cool and smart and really nice, but I just don't think I'm ready to have a coltfriend."

Moon's eyes snapped open and his ears dropped. "Twilight..... If it's about what just happened, I'm sorry. It just happened." He said in a whimper.

Twilight looked down and quietly replied. "It's not just that. I just don't feel like having a coltfriend right now. I really don't know you that well and I have heard other mares talk about you."

His head snapped up and he looked at Twilight. " What did they say?" He said in a somewhat aggressive tone.

"Well they all say they want you." She said while looking back up into Moon's eyes. "To be honest..... I'm not sure I completely feel safe with you. If you are wanted by all the others mares, I'm not sure it will work. I'm sorry Moon Ray."

She slowly walked away. Moon stood in the same spot as Twilight left. "Twilight." He called out. "Please don't go. I really don't want you to go."

She stopped and looked back. Her head kept telling her to keep walking, but the feeling came back. It wasn't a 'like' feeling.

This is something different. I can't shake this feeling. It like a lust. He is perfect in many ways, and he actually seems interested in me. Twilight said to herself.

"Just one date..... If you don't want to see me or talk to me I will leave you alone." He pleaded

What am I doing? Am I really begging for this mare? He thought. Celestia damn! Why can't I shake this feeling for her.
He wanted to slap himself at that moment. Stop being such a jackass! You are perfect! So fuckin' what!? If you think like this your whole life you will never see anypony eye to eye. All ponies are mortal. Nopony is perfect

Twilight blushed as she considered the idea. "Do you re-really want to go on a..... Date?" She gulped and waited for a response.

Moon nodded and grabbed Twilight's hoof. "I would love to go on a date with you."

Twilight's blush now looked like make-up across her face. "O-Okay. How does this Friday sound?" She asked nervously

Moon had a huge smile and pulled Twilight in for a hug. "That sounds amazing. I have a great place just over the hill."

"Wow you are really are happy." She managed to say while being squeezed by Moon.

He let go and put his hoof on the back of his head. "Oh sorry."

Twilight took a couple seconds to catch her breath. "It's okay. Hey I got to go. I don't want to be late."

Moon smiled and replied in a calm tone. "Right... I forgot about that. Okay have a good class."

She smiled and started for her class. "Oh wait." Twilight said. "I need you number."

Moon pulled his phone and opened the contacts. "Here you go."

She touched the screen, and checked a couple of numbers, and gave it back to Moon. She smiled and started for class. Moon looked at the phone to see the number under her contact information. He smiled and put the phone into his saddle bag and trotted to his class with a smile on his face.

I really think this is the perfect mare. I just can't shake that feeling of joy when I look into her eyes. I don't even know why I feel like this. Maybe this is what mares feel for me......

Twilight smiled as she walked through the campus. She had a date with the perfect stallion. Everything was changing for her. She had promised herself there would be no dating until she was comfortable.

He is really hot and he dose seem to be really nice. The other mares must be crazy. 'He is a heart breaker' Ha. He is to nice for that.

There was a buzz from her saddle bag. A light purple aurora surrounded her horn. A GS3 came out from her bag and positioned itself in front of her vision. The contact was just a number, but she knew who it was. She slid open the phone and looked at the message.

Hey it's Moon.

She saved the contact and slipped the phone back into her saddle bag. She continued to smile as she entered her next class. Moon had done the same. There was nothing that could ruin their day.

---------------

"Hey watch where your going." Said a turquoise unicorn.

"Oh sorry. That was my bad." A black unicorn replied while putting his phone away.

The turquoise unicorn gazed at the familiar face. "Wait I know you. Your that stallion from the advanced magic learners class." The unicorn said happily.

The black unicorn raised a brow and took a long look at the turquoise unicorn before him. His dark circle shades hid his eyes. The blue mane on his head covered the other part of his face. The black unicorn took a step back and put a hoof on the back of his head.

"Sorry. I don't think we have met. My name is...."

"Moon Ray. I sit a row under you dude. I guess it's kinda my fault to. I never introduced myself." The turquoise unicorn took a step back and whipped his mane out of his face. "My name is Bass String. I guess I never talked to you because of what the other stallions think of you." Bass said with a little bit of embarrassment.

"Oh don't feel to bad. I've had that problem before." Moon said with a smile. "At least you came up and told me directly and you apologized for it."

Bass held out a hoof and Moon stuck out his hoof. "Pleasure to meet you." They said in unison.

The bell rang and Bass looked up. "Gotta class right now?"

Moon put his hoof down and replied sadly. "Yeah. Sorry dude. Maybe we could talk some other time in class."

"For sure!" Bass said happily.

They parted ways and headed for their classes.

He isn't all that bad. He even seems kinda nice. Maybe he could help me with the little mare problem I'm having.

Bass continued to his music class. He loved live bands and he was in a popular one. The 4 colt group was a popular band on the west coast of Equestria. There music was around soft rock with a spot of 'pump up' rock songs. They were favorite by many college and high school students across Equestria, thanks to their Internet page. He played the bass and he was very talented young stallion. He got a music scholarship to Hayvard when he was a senior in his high school. He packed his bags, kissed his family good by and left his home of 17 years. His sisters were sad to see him go and his parents were even worse. They had a very close family ever since his sisters were born. They always went out on family outings weekly and talked about their problems. They all had tears when he was at the boarding station. He wanted to be with his family but he knew this was the best education he could have.

I really miss the days where I could be with my family. Bass thought with a sigh.

Suddenly the sound of an electric guitar broke his train of memories. It was a screeching note that lead into a quick paced solo. The heavy metal was coming from his class. He trotted in, trying not to be noticed by anypony, and took his seat in the back of the class. The guitarist was playing the guitar and taking it to the limit. Bass looked and noticed who was playing. The light tan fur glistened with sweat, and the mane held its ground with the help of a red hair band.

Wow she is so good. Bass thought as she finished with a classic heavy metal slide.

Her hoof traveled up the neck until it reached the top, where she pulled away and raised her hoof in the air. The class erupted in hooves stomping on the floor and hooves clapping. She was panting when she lifted both of her fore legs and dropped back onto all fours after her 5 minuet performance. She set her guitar down and trotted to a desk, where a cool bottle of water waited for her.

Oh yeah! You rocked it out there! she proudly thought

Bass swallowed his coward-ness and approached the tan mare. He silently trotted over to her side and took a deep breath.

"Hey... Yo- you were really good out there." He said while trying to not focus on the mares sweaty body.

She looked behind her and saw the turquoise stallion looking up at the ceiling. "You complementing the ceiling?" She asked with a playful grin.

His face turned red quickly as he looked back down to see her magenta eyes. "No no. I was talking about you. I pro- promise!"

She held back the urge to laugh when she spoke. "Calm down. I'm just messing with you. My name is Acoustic Tune."

"Um my name is...... Bass..... String" He said with long pauses in his words.

Well he is a little goofy but hey at least he isn't one of those judgmental jerks from high school. Acoustic thought to herself.

Oh my gosh! She is so pretty! She great with guitars and she loves music! Bass thought while trying to stop himself from sweating.

There was some awkward silence before a voice called out for Acoustic. "Hey I gotta go. My friend is calling me so I will see you around."

Bass just nodded his head mindlessly. She trotted off and Bass stood there looking at a wall until a loud voice broke him out of his trance.

"Bass! You're up" The teacher demanded.

Bass shook his head and looked around. "Sorry. Kinda got lost for a second."

The class laughed as he pulled out his solid black bass with 4 thick strings. He stood on his hind legs and plugged his bass into the amp sitting on the floor. After a quick sound check he placed his hoof over the chords and began strumming the thick metal chords. He played the chords and it had a distinct sound to it. He was playing Feel Good Inc. Acoustic watched as Bass swayed to the beat. His eyes only focused on his guitar and as he continued the song with no flaws. When he finished the class cheered his name and stomped their hooves.

Wow this guy is awesome! I wonder where he gets his skill. Acoustic thought.

She is looking right at me. I got for play it cool. Just walk off stage. Bass told himself as he disconnected his guitar.

He placed it on his back and dropped all 4 of his hooves to the floor. He walked off stage and to the corner of the room where he normally sits. Acoustic shot a look his way to see if be was looking. To her surprise, Bass was napping with his shades on.

This stallion is all right. Maybe I should talk to him sometime soon.

I really hope she noticed me.

Both of their thoughts revolved around each other. They tried to play cool but inside a different side of them was showing. This was going to be a long year for Acoustic and Bass.
